Rabbits like liquorice

Rabbit like liquorice which is a root with sweet flavor containing sugar. But this sweet flavor root is bad for rabbits as they can't digest sugar. If you have a pet rabbit, avoid giving their favorite root which may harm it. It can even cause severe medical problems.

Oh, wow. I actually never knew this and I used to have three rabbits. We had this big cage for them but we also often let them run around our garden (I still lived with my parents).

We only really fed them with hay, carrots, and bought special rabbits food. It was funny because they also absolutely loved food but I read that you should be careful because of the high sugar value.

All three rabbits have already passed away now and I don't think that I would ever own one again. They are very cute and can be cuddly but they also require a lot of work and cleaning.

Either way, thank you for spreading the information about what to be careful about.

That is an amazing thing to note. I was not aware of this fact.I used to have a rabbit but I had to give it away because I was leaving the country. It still hurts till today.

That's great! I heard that liquorice root helps in skin whitening. But neve aware of rabbits liking it. I actually had tasted it, tastes really sweet. In Siddha, liquoirice are used to treat aome medical ailments.

If I got a chance to buy rabbits hme as a pet. I definitely make sure not to give them liquorice. Thanks to your post!

That's a very interesting fact. I didn't know that rabbits liked liquorice and it's good that you took the time to share this because many people have rabbits as pets and they might not know this. They should know what to feed their pets because it's important to their health.

They look so cute, I bet they are couple, although I don't fancy keeping rodents as pets but I would make an exception for those cute rabbits.

I think rabbits loves carrot, I have seen some eat it with pleasure and I don't know if it has any side effects but I doubt because if it does, those rabbits would have been dead by now.

That's a good piece of information you just shared about avoiding give rabbits those roots that contains sugar as they can't digest it, which means it's bad for their health. So I do believe it would be a very useful information for rabbit owners.

I lost my rabbit some years ago and I am feeling a bit sad after reading this post. I loved him so much. Nothing can ever replace the void of a lost pet. Anyway I never knew that rabbits love liquorice and thanks for informing that sweet treats are bad for rabbits. The rabbits in the picture look nice. Are those your rabbits?

I don't know that rabbits must not eat sweet foods. This is so helpful. Maybe they should stay eating carrots like Bugs Bunny. Rabbits are so adorable and fluffy. Of course I want to have one but in my state of living, I can't take care well a rabbit. I'm just going to zoo to visit them and feed them with carrots.

Alright, i never knew rabbits love liquorice. It's the first time am hearing about this, i thought their only live for vegetables were carrots. I just did a research on liquorice and am seeing very good positive benefits about it. I only wish i had a rabbit, but if i did, it'll probably be digested by now.

Well, that is a very useful tip for all the Rabbit lovers. I didn't know that eating the Licorice roots can cause major health problems in Rabbits. I have never ever seen this licorice roots or tasted it. Honestly, I don't think that Rabbits make a very good pet for any household. The amount of poop cleaning that one has to do in the house every day can be very scary. I think the right place for the Rabbits is in the natural habitats and not our homes.

I also never knew this before. My sister has a rabbit as a pet and she give sometimes biscuits to her rabbit. She should also know that rabbits can't digest sugar. She also had a squirrel but it made a lot of holes in her walls and damaged electrical wires. I had the same problem when red squirrels sneaked into my house from the woods. But I didn't tolerate the red squirrels and what they had made to my house and called a squirrel removal service from this site https://tampa.aaacwildliferemoval.com/squirrel-removal. I love animals but not the way they can damage my house.

Rabbits like licorice and squirrels love to gnaw the insulation and the electric wires. For me, rabbits, raccoons, squirrels are not friendly creatures anymore. I see them as dangerous pests. Trust me, I had some serious problems because of a squirrel that gnawed my electric wires. I had to replace the entire electrical wire system, and it wasn't cheap. I was lucky that the guys from https://dayton.aaacwildliferemoval.com/squirrel-removal helped me to get rid of them. So I will advise you to re-think your opinion about wild animals.
