Inspiration can be gotten from many different sources. For me, I am inspired by happenings and trends in my environment. Most times having a meaningful and fruitful discussion with bright minds could also serve as a good source of inspiration.
I am also a voracious and avid reader which also comes handing in inspiring me. Most times, taking a solitary walk and relaxing at the beach has proved to boost my inspiration in no small measure.

Sometimes, I will see a crochet pattern online and think, 'Oh! I want to try that out!'. It's so great being able to produce hand crafted work as you can have heirloom quality items that are handmade without the huge price tag of buying in a boutique.

My dad has the best stories of growing up in rural farm life America. Some of the things he talks about seem almost unbelievable by comparison to today's standards where everything is so technologically based and automated. His grandparents lived a very traditional lifestyle without electricity, (by choice) and worked the land in the old ways. His grandfather even used a mule and plow like olden days.

It would be so neat to chronicle his life experience growing up, maybe even fictionalize it.
I hope that I have a chance to write his stories. I think that will make him so happy. Where do you find your inspiration?

My Mom is an artist as well as Doctor Where do you find your inspiration? And my father always makes stuff like almost everything for home from bookshelf to tables.stands, chairs and cupboards . I found my inspiration from them and I really sometimes do things in crafts that I personally dont think I would be able to do but the creative sense I think its in my blood even my brother is also a doctor and He is also very creative in many ways mostly in interior designing somehow he figure out something amazing from scrap literally .
I think the best inspiration is always our parents as we get most of the time through out our up bringing with them .
One more thing my father and mother are from old times as @Beverly said above they are very creative by default I guess because in there time they have no access to new technology at all so they have to somehow manage to do all the required things with the limited resources .

Parents can be the most inspiring people. Where do you find your inspiration?

Please cherish every moment you have with them. I would give anything in the world to have just five more minutes with mine, as they have passed away many years now. You think you have forever, you only have this moment in time.

A story devoted to your father would be a lovely gift he will treasure forever. Where do you find your inspiration?

Wow -- there are lot of great ideas here. For me, my inspiration is my own need. I.E., I created a product to help me do my job, and I figured others may be interested in the same solution.

(Okay, okay -- so I'm obsessed with what I'm doing as well. I can't help it!)

I'm sure you have heard the old phrase, "Necessity is the Mother of invention!" And, this is true as when you need something you will either buy it or invent it so that your life and job are easier. Where do you find your inspiration?

You can find your Inspirations in Yourself:

  • Make today the day you embrace a new healthy habit that can change your life for the better.
  • Express yourself creatively in a way you never have before, by sculpting, for example, and see what comes in your mind and heart.
  • Enjoy something you created in the past—a blog post, a video, a drawing, or a project.
  • Ask your parents to tell you what you were like as a child, and remember what mattered to you then.

I prefer online than book and magazine.

Sometimes I will just find a pattern online for a new craft project.

It's not so much these patterns are free, but just more easily available than having to buy a magazine at the store.

Though, I really love magazines still, they are just not as convenient anymore as online sources.

I think pinterest is the best place to look for inspiration if you are still a young artists. It would offer you lots of options to choose from, with some captivating images.

To have a quality inspiration enables one produce an excellent and exquisite job. So therefore, it's very important one work on building his or her inspiration bank as it's what would determine how far and at what extent you would be able to take your artist life to.

I will say one word, online and my favourite is Google. It will take me where I will get my inspiration to do anything that I may want to do. I discovered Pinterest while googling and there I have found many different crafts that have inspired me to do stuff I only used to see on tv.

I have so many inspiration in doing crafts. But most of the times, I get inspired in watching how do they make that crafts. Some of the things I get inspired is when I read some magazines or when my mother make some. She also loves making crafts. And I think that she pass it to me. For me, making crafts is fun. Everybody can do it. Just enjoy what you do and you will have a good outcome.

My inspiration on doing crafts would be my own ideas or my own experience, like something out of nowhere would just pop up and turn in to a amazing idea. But I'll also admit that I look sometimes at the internet or magazines for a finishing touch or the missing piece on my craft.

I really love crafting and I usually get ideas from Google and Pinterest. I am on Pinterest mostly every day and if I find something interesting then I just save it to try later. I have also joined a Hobbies forum and at times I also get ideas from there. I really like D.I.Y and I usually make handmade cards and gifts for my friends and relatives for Christmas.
