This is really amazing! How long have you been doing this? It must have taken ages to get so much detail in your tank.

And, no I don't have aquariums. Though I'm sure my kitty cats would be so insanely fascinated by all the pretty fishes :3

Nope Bev, you'd be surprised it isn't ages.

I have only been into reef / salt tanks for about 8 months now (that is how old that tank is as well - plus i have a 12 gallon nano-cube saltwater tank as well) - and I had allot of good friends / guru's to help me along the way.
Once its up and going the system practically runs itself - minus the weekly maintenance you have to do, which isn't hard, maybe 1hr - 3 hrs per week in maintenance.

Once i go to the coral show coming up soon ill have about 20-30 new different kinds of corals in the tank to really fill it out Saltwater Fish Tank

If you have any questions about it Bev feel free to ask!

I jumped in without knowing what i was getting into lol, after my last breakup with my girlfriend whom had 3 of her own kids, i had built a freshwater tank as a fun project for me and her youngest son, so when we split, i lost the tank (along with the $2000 i put into lol) and so i really wanted my own tank again, but was on a budget, wanted to keep it small - lol all it took was one trip to the fish store and i was talked into this HUGE massive undertaking without having a clue what i was doing, but like i said luckily i had a few good friends along the way to guide me along. Its seriously the best hobby I think anyone could ever have, watching things propagate and grow & seeing all the symbiotic relationships, its just amazing.

Thank you for the compliments though, it really means allot after so much hard work!

The fish are so lovely. Such pretty colors. :3

And, I think my daughter would love something like this too. She's very high energy like me, so we are always looking for relaxation activities. I think this would be a really relaxing and fun activity, watching and caring for the fish together. Saltwater Fish Tank

My cousin got one of these aquariums for his children, and it was a complete success!
They can spend hours watching the fishes, they learned how to feed them, how to clean the tank, adding the chlorine and all the other things it needs.
The bad part, is that all those fishes are super expensive, and the maintenance too. Also, it requires hard work to keep it on point, and if you don't give the proper care to it, fishes will die easily. So, keep in mind you will have to invest time and money on it.

Very cool looking tank. I think that fish tanks are so peaceful to look at. I would love to get a big one some day.

Yeah it looks so amazing. Saltwater Fish Tank

I have cats and kittens, do you think they would be too interested in this or would it pose a danger with all that water? Looks like it's covered from the photos but I wasn't sure if there was a way one could get in.

Nah, as long as you keep it covered on the top, cats wouldnt be that interested, unless you have some awkward kitties ;) hahaha

Some people run them open top but i choose not to so i dont have crazy evaporation issues... its a pain in the a$$ to run it with an open top Saltwater Fish Tank

I would highly recommend looking into a 12 or 28 gallon nano-cube , i have a 12 gallon nano cube as well, which is saltwater, but it would be perfect for you and your daughter Bev, everything is built into them, easy to care for, and totally covered on the top, very quiet to so can easily put in living room, but they are a blast. Do a youtube search for saltwater nano cubes and look at all the crazy tanks w/ lots of coral Saltwater Fish Tank

Your fish is really cool. :3

And, these images are really amazing. Is it ok if i download one and use as my desktop wallpaper? I love the rich blue color. I feel very much at peace when I look at these images. Would be like having my own aquarium on my computer. Saltwater Fish Tank

Go for it Bev Saltwater Fish Tank Ill try to take some better ones for you that are more "Wallpaper worthy" when I post some updates Saltwater Fish Tank Its hard with just an iphone camera especially when using the blue lighting - it makes the camera act funny with contrasts and neon colors coming through. If i had a better camera i could take some amazing pictures but every once in awhile the iphone will surprise me with a really good one Saltwater Fish Tank

Actually, I wish very much to have such an aquarium but this one is too expensive for me. I cannot afford to buy corals, and I see they look magnificent! This kind of fish for saltwater are very rare here and very expensive so, we usually take the alternative and make an aquarium with sweet water and fish as a scalar, discus, crap, etc.

This looks cool and also amazing, I guess owning an aquarium seems a cool thing to have or to do. My cousin used to own an aquarium but later on he's fish died so he turned his aquarium into a pit or home for a tarantula which for me is also cool.

If I saw this post 2 years ago, I would gladly show my aquarium and, moreover, its inhabitants. Unfortunately, I don't have any more such a possibility. Actually, it's my fault, that they have died , cause I wanted to decorate my aquarium with differnet stuff: rocks, corals, ships, seaweeds and others, that became the cause of death of my fishes. In other words, there were some eggs of bobbit worms, you can read here about them www.arcreef.com, at the rocks, I bought. This creatures grew up and began to eat my fish. By the time I noticed it, it was already too late. There was empty aquarium. Take care of your fishes, guys.
