Is there some magic trick for getting rid of fleas on a cat?
My cat is infested with fleas since he went outside. And, I have tried everything but nothing works.
Now they are getting into my carpet and my ankles are hurting from bites.

I have read how this will de-flea a cat very quickly. And I am currently using this on my kittens for this purpose.
You only need a light dusting and work it into the fur. You have to be careful as this can get into the cat's mouth, throat and lungs. Ideally, you will hand apply this or apply with a brush so as to avoid creating a powder vapor that can get into the mouth.
Though diatomaceous earth (food grade) is considered non toxic, it can cause irritation in the throat, so just watch for that. And obviously, avoid the face and eye area.
Your cat will likely try to clean this off himself, so be sure you are only using food grade quality. You can buy that from Amazon.com or any other retailer online.
You will only need a tiny amount, such as a tablespoon or less of this powder to cover the head, throat, neck and back area of your cat. Any more than that will create a mess.
That's another thing, this powder is very messy. So if you are applying, don't allow your pet onto your couch or you will get white powder everywhere.
One more thing, I was reading how this diatomaceous earth was good for deworming cats, a very common ailment with cats.
If you decide to use it for that purpose, you should read online for full instructions on how to use it.
Deworming of your cat will almost be a side effect as the cat will likely ingest the diatomaceous earth while cleaning itself.
This will help your cat stay healthier as it rids the internal parasites that can plague it. Have you tried diatomaceous earth on your cat? I have read how this will de-flea a cat very quickly.
