Best low calorie food for lunch?

What is the best low calorie foods or dishes for lunch?

I like soups. If you know any that are very low cal please post a recipe here or tell me where to find them.

Soup is a nice choice but it might not really be all that filling, especially if you have an active lifestyle.

Adding fruit and vegetables to any meal can be a good way to get full without adding lots of extra calories. The more fiber a piece of food has, the more full you will feel. Lately, I'm obsessed with wheat bread. It's so natural. Best low calorie food for lunch?

Just recently, I started walking a lot. If you're really worried about losing weight or staying slim, that could really help.

We have lots of hills around here, so it's a really fantastic work out.

Yeah @Beverly walking or running is much better option then seating all day long and eating only low calories food. You need to get some vitamins and all other that body needs.
But if you counting calories, avoiding soft drinks will help a lot ;)

That's an excellent suggestion. Soda is just carbonated sugar water and not very healthy. The high fructose corn syrup in the soda has been linked to health ailments. So it's best to avoid.

Pick up a deli salad with a variety of leafy green vegetables and healthy lean cut meats and cheeses. You can always choose a low fat dressing for your salad so that it tastes better. Add spices if you want for an even better taste.

What are you eating for breakfast? If you are not eating anything for breakfast then you lunch will need to be larger to compensate. Don't force your body to fast all night during sleep and then deprive it of breakfast and lunch foods. If you do that you will only binge at supper time.

I love yogurt. And, it's been awhile since I had any. I will pick some up on my next trip to the store. Thank you for the reminder!

My daughter loves yogurt too, but only the smooth and creamy yogurt, none with the fruit chunks.

Even low-calorie foods can be an agent for obesity, if one just sitting and eating healthy food, too much of a good thing becomes the opposite, one thing I did when I was reducing weight is to eat half raw half cooked, just to help with the mean program which is working out.

I'm not a fan of any low-calorie foods. If I'm gonna eat, I'll make sure to select the best and most delicious for me. I don't want to think anything about the diet, or if I should eat a low calorie or anything. I go all out when it comes to the food. We only live once so make sure that you please yourself to the fullest. Whether you diet or not, if it's your time, it's your time.

Me too, not a fan of low-calories type of food, because in the end of the day food would be the best thing that ever happen on earth. And also, "food is life". haha Best low calorie food for lunch?

I'm in the camp of not liking many low-calorie foods. Of course, you load up on vegetables, which many are low calories and tasty. But, as far as actual dishes, even cooky healthy often produces something that is not technically low-cal.

Since I started my weight loss journey, I read a lot about diet, what should eat and all of that.I think low calorie has been beaten to death .There are a lot of version of what a low-calorie food should be, I have come to the conclusion that we can eat anything provided it a little of it while we load on water and veggie.So a low calorie is any meal that has more veggie and taken in a small quantity may be a hand fist.
