THE VICTORY DAY OF BANGLADESH

The 16th of December, 1971 is a red letter day in our national history. It was on this day we were to snatch our independences after a life and death liberation war for long nine months. This victory was a victory of right against wrong. It was a war of self-emancipation. Every year we observe this day in a colorful manner. This day reminds us of the supreme in a colorful manner.

This day reminds us of the supreme sacrifice of our freedom fighters who will ever shine in our hearts like the luminous stars in the sky. But at the same time we must remember the sprit of the liberation war. We wanted a country where justice will prevail over injustice and wrong. Instead, we are now having a night-marish experience of lawlessness, violence and misrule. The lords of the mischief mongers are getting upper hand in the society, whereas the meek and mild become the worst sufferers. Disorder in everything has become the order of the day.

Every country have it's own history with colonial powers. It's never easy to be a vassal state under a super power. I'm truly happy for your country as I know that attaining independence is not an easy task. It takes a lot, even sacrifice of human lives in order to achieve it.

My country Nigeria, attained it's independence from the British colonial rule in October 1st 1960. That day has been a memorable and important date in the history of our state.

My country gained its independence on the 12th of March 1968. Each year we celebrate the independence day and plan a series of activities. I have been to the independence day celebrations quite a few times and it was fun. This day is truly special. I guess you feel the same for your country.

Nice to learn about this, I believe a day like this is peculiar to each country like ours is always on 1st of Oct, every year.This is the day we celebrate our independence from colonial rule.The day we decided to rule ourselves and make the best decision for our country and our collective good.I believe this was the best thing to happen to my dear country.
