Several years ago, my granny taught me how to cross stitch. Back then, this was a very popular thing to do. Now days, it is not as popular. However, I still love it. Being able to sit and cross stitch relaxes me and makes me think of my granny, who is no longer with us. I started with some simple patterns. My first cross stitch was an Owl ornament. I proudly display this on my wall. It brings back lots of memories of my granny and the time we spent when she was teaching me one of her biggest loves.

Oh, that's so cute! Unfortunately, modern grandmothers don't do handicrafts so they will not be able to teach this to their grandchildren. This is a great rarity in our time, which should be appreciated. Honestly, my grandmother is one of them, but she can cook the most delicious pies and taught me her wisdom. I think I learned the most important life lessons from her. For example, she taught me how to understand that a young man is the only one who is for life. And recently I read an article on https://reliablelifestrategies.com...male-attraction/ and realized that this article reminds me of my granny.I agree with you. By the way, thank you for sharing a good article. [quote]Oh, that's so cute! Unfortunately, modern grandmothers don't do handicrafts so they will not be able to teach this to their grandchildren. Cross stitching is so relaxing and so simple, I would go back to it now if I could however having the time to just sit and cross stitch is a really hard for me nowadays. One day I will go back, maybe even work my way towards more difficult patterns. I have not done any kind of cross stitching in years. I remember being at school and we were taught to cross stitch, it was only simple patterns that we followed but it was a lot of fun. I remember going home and telling my Mum about it what I had done at school and how much I enjoyed it and she bought me the stuff to cross stitch at home. I remember having a love heart cross stitch pattern that was my first pattern I did from home and it was so easy to follow.
