Cyberlink powerdirector is a good place to start. Most of it's function is self explanatory and easy to understand. If you don't know anything about Video/audio production then I highly recommend this to you. However, there other applications like this that can help you make a better work if you comprehend the ways of video and audio editing. The other software to use is Sony Vegas pro. It can make better effects for your video and audio editing but the software is not cheap. Keep that in mind. Lastly, Final cut pro is a good alternative to Cyberlink powerdirector because they are almost the same in content but Final cut pro is a lot cheaper than Cyberlink. Watch some reviews in Youtube to help you decide what to get.
