NEW APP...Mercari - SELL YOUR STUFF!

So I was scrolling through facebook one day, and one of the advertisements caught my eye. It was a buy-sell-trade kind of application ad...so I'm nosey and click it. Its an app where you can buy and sell used or new items. I then start signing up for the app, and then I start posting stuff I had left over from this huge yard sale we just had. I was kind of really negative about it at first, thinking I was wasting my time because its a new app and no one really knows about it....WRONG! Within the first week I sold like 6 things. I was pretty excited, so I kept posting the rest of the left over things from the yard sale, clothes that the girls were outgrowing, things I hadnt seen in years! LOL and people were buying! The absolute best thing about the app is its....FREE! Such a great way to make a few bucks here and there!

Interested in trying it out, search Mercari in your app store!

Let me know what you guys think!

South Africa must me a tough place to live especially with the guerillas and the crazy things you see on TV. I watched a movie called blood diamond and it was about the African people being killed and enslaved for the mining of diamonds. The guerillas would come and burn down villages and kidnap anyone able to work. I hope this was just a dramatization by Hollywood and its not actually like that but something tells me its not far from the truth. This app is amazing i wish i has the time to use it like you do. The best part is that its relatively new so people have yet to pick up on it in a big way. This could mean big things for the sellers who got on at the very beginning. Thanks for sharing!

South Africa is one of the most dangerous places in the world, true but a lot of the Hollywood movies do dramatize things a lot of course.

Where I live it is relatively safe but still our neighbors were held up by gunpoint in their home a few months back so we have to be on our toes all the time.

Oh wow, thanks for the tip Ermini2. I am just wondering whether the Marcari app is available all over the world or is it just focused on a few countries or areas?

One of the biggest problems I have been faced with, with almost everything is that South Africa is very rarely a supported country and this really gets to me. Yes I know we are a third world country but still it is seriously annoying.

I prefer doing my business transactions using tested and trusted sites. I have used eBay, Amazon, etsy, jumia, konga, and Jiji in selling some of my collections especially paintings.

Mercari as you call doesn't seem to be legit to me and as I'm not aware of the existence of such site before, I believe more people aren't aware as well. This will definitely affect the nature of my business, as we are all aware that lesser people are aware of such site, the low traffic would be generated in such site and as such means small number of people patronizing that products.

I have so far used the craiglist, ebay, amazon and few other local apps. I am not sure if the Mercari is good. But yes if it is used for selling some old stuff. Then I guess it'd be worth using. And it can bring some good revenue as well. I have not much used the app. So I can't comment on it. I have a good experience with the quickr and OLX. And that is bringing me some good revenue so far as well. I may have to stick with selling on established apps in that case.

Interesting, what is the difference from selling stuff online with the best apps available now that are already been tested for many years!? I'm using such apps myself because I don't like to throw things like some kind of garbage after using them a few weeks or even days. I'm just adding a decent or even cheaper possible price and after a short time somebody for sure will purchase it. I have very positive feedback and many told me I should turn this in the business. My goal is and always will be to help others, it's simple as that, hopefully it will be for a good use for others. This guide will provide the best stores on one page. Nothing to pay for guys, no advertisement.

There are a number of similar applications on the market, but not every one of them resonates with the consumer. And all because not everyone is brought to its logical conclusion, works with errors, and besides, it can also be completely inconvenient. But testing is the most important step to create a valuable product, find more software test management tools here
