Igloo Home Ice Machine.

We have an small Igloo Ice Machine, and we just love it ! This little ice maker fits on a counter top, and just keeps on cranking out little ice cubes. You can choose from two sizes of ice cubes, and the first batch will be ready in just minutes. When the cooler is full of ice, then the ice maker has a sensor, and it will stop making ice, so you never have to worry about the ice machine being over full. It can make over 25 lbs of ice in a day, and will save you from having to be making ice cubes all of the time.
We use a lot of ice, especially in the summer, so I was continually making trays of ice cubes. After we bought this for $89 at Sam's Club, we always had all of the ice we needed. It doesn't take up much space, and is simple to use, and comes in several colors.
We refill ours from filtered water; but you could also use bottled water or just plain tap water.
The only thing that I would like to see different is for the tray that stores ice to also keep it colder. Since the machine is not refrigerated anywhere but the actual part that makes ice, some of the ice cubes will ment as they sit in the ice tray. Of course, you could always store them in your freezer to keep them cold if you are not using them right away, and this is really not a big issue at all.

Ah, we also have this ice machine. We have bought it like a year or more ago because summers here can get EXTREMELY hot and the ice cubes are life savers. There's nothing better than the ability to add them into your drinks... or sometimes, I even put them into a bag, close the bag and use it as a cooling pad.

Before we decided to buy the ice machine, we were constantly having to make several trays of ice by putting the water into the freezer... then you have to wait a few hours for it to freeze, take it out and smash it so the cubes fall out. It was very time consuming and annoying.

Anyway, you seem to have gotten a very good price for your machine. When we bought ours, it was over $100. Ours can make approximately 26lbs per day and I think that the first ice cubes are done in like 5 short minutes. I can't explain how handy this machine truly is. One of the best investments for the summer days.

I just have to ask, how's the electric consumption of this machine? Where I live, electricity is so high and with machines like this will probably spike the meter high in the first hours of using this.

its my first time to hear about this machine. I just want to ask if this is energy saver machine good for those who have business that consumes ice too much? I just want to clarify something about the machine usage. How does this helps in business well? I think the price is too much cheap to spend with this machine.

Wow, I've never heard of this machine before. It sounds like a great idea during summer, and I really thought it would be a lot more expensive. You basically have infinite uses for this thing! How does it work exactly? Do you put water in it?

Yeah! This is also my first time hearing this kind of machine. This is really a useful one especially in hot places like here in the Philippines. I've been going to any appliance store but never seen this one! Is this also comes with a battery so we can bring this outdoor?

Me too, never heard this one before and it looks totally awesome and probably "cool". It's actually perfect to use it here in my country to the fact that it's getting so much hotter right now.

Yes, it has a water storage basin at the bottom, and you fill that up, and then it has the area where it makes the ice in hollow chunks , and then it drops the ice cubes into the storage bin. It makes about 6 small ice cubes at a time, and can produce them every little while, so it takes a little while when you first start the machine, but then it refills itself as you use the ice, so you always have a good supply.
There are indicator lights on top; and it will alert you when it is out of water, so that you know when to add more water to the water storage basin.
It is not a large machine and it can fit on most sizes of countertops easily. We use filtered water; but if you have good tap water, you can slo use just plain water from your kitchen faucet.

Wow, this seems like a wonderful acquisition to me. Over here we are facing an unbearable heat right now and there is no end in sight. Too bad there are no ice machines available around here and also importing would come off very expensive

We do not have any ice machine in our home as we have no such need. We just use the ice tray for such purposes. I guess it would be cool to get one but these machines are quite expensive.

Another pattern that has been noticed with Igloo is just how many of their products are mobile or easily portable. They have a huge
selection of cooler backpacks, totes, and handy lunchboxes. A lot of
these are not only relatively lightweight and optimally-sized, but many
have multiple carrying methods such as handles and shoulder straps.
Even many of their larger plastic coolers are available in wheeled
configurations. So for anybody who needs a cooling solution and
anticipates being on the move quite a bit, they should definitely look
into what Igloo has to offer.

I am jealous--I would really love o have one of these. We are always running out of ice here, and it would be nice to have an alternative to our freezer/fridge. We buy bags of ice at the local convenience store to supplement out ice consumption, but this would probably the best investment for the long term. Two dollar bags of ice for eternity versus a couple hundred dollars for an ice machine. That's an easy decision to make.

That sounds pretty cool. I don't know if it's the same thing as the ones that are fixed into the fridge but those are extremely useful. It's just so much easier than having to use ice cube trays and having to pour water manually every time you use some ice cubes. I know that with the fridge ones they are already made so you only have to put your cup under the thing and it drops them into your cups.

The igloo ice machine is very important especially now in the summer and really satisfying as well. It's quite expensive in my country but I did afford one a few months ago especially because it's really hot during summer.
I do have a small one because I need to be able to carry it with me just because I do a lot of traveling during summer as well.

I didn't even know about this machine. I think it is very practical and useful. I really want one of these machines especially when I am hosting a party at my house I wouldn't need to buy Ice or when I Have friends at my house and we are drinking and chilling we wouldn't have to be making ice cubes all of the time. Also, you said that comes in several colors. How awesome is that?. Great inventor If I see one on the market I will buy it without thinking about it. It is not too expensive.

I really want one of these. I have read about how nice they are, and I am also sick of having to refill ice cube trays. They are pretty expensive though, so I will probably wait until Christmas. I think they are really cool though. I'm glad you like yours.
