Have you ever owned a home?

Just recently, I was lucky enough to be able to put a down payment on my first home after years of apartment living. This place means so much to me and has given me roots. Do you own your own home?

I do own my home and land by the beach, but I'm building a new home next to it in a few months, after the vacant land is cleared.

I'm living in an apartment now. I like where I am and it is good enough for me. I know that I will upgrade to a home one day but just not now as finances are not right and really there is no one but me in the apartment so space is not limited.

I own my apartment. This is just about what I can afford to own in the city. I like being central to all the local shops and attractions, otherwise I could get a really nice house if I moved to the country.

I wish that one day I will be able to own a house but it is very expensive and for sure I won't be able to get a loan for at least next 5 years. I'd like to have an apartment first because they are cheaper but still a loan is a big thing and not many people have salaries big enough to be able to get a loan for a house or an apartment.

I must congratulate you on your success in trying to own a home for such move can be quite expensive in Nigeria where I live considering the high-cost of building materials which always reflect the amount of money charged by landlords when one is living in their apartments. Getting your own house can be expensive, but I do not think it is something impossible and I'm looking forward to that plan as well.

I own a home, however, I did not buy this home myself. I inherited this home from my father. I also have few acres of farmland, which happens to be my ancestral property. I inherited this farmland from my father and father inherited from his father. You need at least $100,000 to buy a home in my town, I don't have that big money. Therefore, I am yet to buy a home.

First and foremost, I would like to congratulate you on achieving such a great deal, it's not easy for one to be the owner of his home. I'm quite sure it would be feeling that can't be expressed and explained fully but nevertheless, I'm very happy for you.

I'm still on rented apartment in the urban city and looking forward to achieving what you just did sooner or later. But in my rural setting, I already have a home of my own. It gives pride when you built a home or house of your own in your village home.

Buying your own house is actually an achievement. Many people are actually struggling to buy a house in my country and I can say that this is not easy. As for me I have my own house which was gifted to me by my dad. There are so many advantages of living in your own house. When I was still studying I was renting an apartment and I didn't like it a bit. The apartment was small and there was no privacy.

I own my home. From a financial standpoint, I don't really know if is better than renting. There is so much to deal with, from maintenance to taxes. However, there is a certain peace of mind and feeling of security that comes with it.
