I have recently stumbled upon crafts for the holidays vlogs on YouTube, and I found something interesting that you could make a business of: Holiday cards. They made some elegant expensive looking cards that are actually made of card boards that you could buy from bookstores and office supplies store. They have invested with their tools though like die-cuts. But if you have the budget, it really is an promising business.

It depends on what products you are selling. When it comes to celebrating these holidays, you have to fit with the theme and make your product stand out from the competition. For example, the most commonly sold items during Valentine's are flowers and chocolates. Is there a way for your product to fit this theme? If your store is selling jewelries which can be gifted for Valentine's, you can lower the price of your most uniquely designed items and offer them as sale for Valentine's. You're essentially sacrificing a few bucks off in return to more customers to the store. You can also do Valentine's bundles if you're store sells various products. you can do a "For Him" and "For Her" bundle, carefully picking which of your products you can sell, then add a small discount.

I agree, do what your competitors usually do, or more like do better than what your competitors can give to consumers. Also stick with a theme, like a theme that doesn't fit with the product you are selling, is a big pain in the ass, like wearing a scary costume on Valentines Day doesn't really makes sense.

In addition, you can also try to be more creative and unique. For example instead of giving away bouquet of flowers, try giving a bouquet of pops or mini teddy bears. Also take into consideration the popularity of the things that you wanted to include to spice things a bit and the affordability of the product to the consumer.

Try giving some extras. Be sure to have an advantage over your competitors. Always have some package deals. It will surely attract customers especially who are those in a tight budget.

Well the problem is I do sell anything that's top selling in my area. it doesn't actually have a specific niche. I sell bags, I sell CCTVs, etc. And so, I've come up with a promo for each item. I did include some discounts and some small items for freebies related to my product. I suppose that's how it should always go and I must admit I did have a slight raise up in my sales and inquiries.

Well done, at least you had a rise in sales for this event. At least you already have an idea of your market and the top products in the area. Try to mix up your discounts for the next holiday so that the customers will be enticed again to buy in your store.

The basic promotion tip that you can use on days that are special like this are the freebies and buy one and get a gift system which will make your online visitors want to buy more during the period of that celebration. I've come to realize that we can't really say that this is going to work in the long run, but I've seen it work on certain occasions that I believe it is the beat promotional tip you can try out on that day.

I do agree with you in this, giving away freebies is also one way of attracting customers to buy your products. I myself look for stores that give freebies. I feel that the money I spent will be worth it if I take home something aside from the one that I bought.

Special promotions always work. Most people tend to always take advantage of special discounts especially ones such buy one get one free or 50% off for example. 50% off is probably one of the best discounts you can offer, to be fair but it's also one of the most difficult to implement into your business because you could potentially be losing out on a lot of profit.

How about buy a Valentine's day package, free voucher?

I think people get addicted to free. And often they don't return if the shop has nothing free. So I think it'd be reasonable not to offer such discount. I have also learned that some of the time store promos should have discount though.

I agree, there should not be any discounts on this day because the people will buy it anyway, it just depends on what you sell.
If you are selling the right thing, the thing that will be the best for touching someone feelings that the business will do just well.

I have seen some of the shops and the shopkeeper keeping the discount board. But reality they are not offering any specific discount. And that should be worth thinking about. I guess it depends on how the price may go up and down and may affect the business.

Well, it depends on what products you are trying to sell. Of course, this is not extremely important because you can still offer some sort of a valentine days promotion/discount for your products/services but it would make much more sense if you sold something that would be popular during valentine's day. Some sort of a discount on the products could always prove popular no matter the holiday.

I believe with any special season or events such as Valentine or Easter season people get to buy products or items that relate solely to the theme or designs for the season. For valentines don't forget to sell items like crafted materials, chocolates, teddy, valentine's theme gift packs and for promotion you can throw in incentives like freebies, buying 2 and getting one free, free $$ vouchers for certain items even free products and add-on.This will go a long way to entice people to want to buy more.

How about doing a raffle. Every buyer gets a raffle ticket and if the ticket wins he gets a prize. The prize should also be something from your store, you can let them choose from a preselected list.

That looks like a good idea. I am sure many business who try it are going to make some good money. Though not sure how much money is possible. And how much people are going to be attracted.

I think offering the discount seems like a good idea. People surely would enjoy the discount of those days. And it can give some really good output from the same. I would say that valentines day on that part would take some efforts. I don't know how that works out though. In some cases I think valentines days are fun for business too.

Discounts are good in my opinion, it's really a nice idea and from my experience, I have come to see that every individual out there always appreciate a discount in anything they are purchasing no matter how small. So therefore, getting the valentine's day shopping enticed my some discount sales is going to get people into more buying.

I think for serious business people the discount can be addictive. And it can be really hard to work around with the discounts on everyday basis. I have noticed that some of the time such discounts can affect the way people work. And it means we have to give limited of them.

Well this is obviously going to depend on the product you're selling. But no matter what the product is, I'm sure with a little creativity you can come up with something.

The obvious answer would be to simply provide some sort of discount, which many sites do for just about every holiday.

Otherwise, you could have sales on particular items which involve romance. Even places like vitamin supplement shops could put deals on supplements that are supposed to improve virility/fertility, since it is related to one's love life. It's fairly simple but effective.

How about giving Valentine extras. For every order the customer earns chocolates or you could give out chocolates to all valentine's day buyers.

Normally, during the festivals and holidays, I offer festive and seasonal discounts for my customers. I not only update my products on my site but also update the ads I am using on my site. However, I did not have anything special for the valentine's day. Since I was unable to drive sales during the Christmas and the New Year, I did not do any promotion for Valentine's day. I am trying to revamp my entire business model.

How about doing an Online Guessing Game Contest in which all buyers for a certain period would guess the number of Hearts in a fishing bowl and whoever gets it right wins a prize.

I have two different online stores, one for a particular handmade clothing item that I create and the other for general reselling of items that I get second hand. My handmade items are pricier and also custom made so on holidays I usually will create some a themed item for social media (not over the top but seasonally appropriate with the right colors), list it for sale for a discount and offer a discount on a custom made item. It has moderate success. I mostly do that to generate traffic or followers and likes on social media. So on Valentines day I'll post something pink or red, or only pink and red photos, and promote the sale at the same time.

For general reselling I don't really have anything in particular that I do because I'm not really selling items that are popular for Valentines Day. I saw a small bump with that store around Christmas because I do have some toys and collectibles for sale.

In terms of online selling, delivery charge is one of the factors that customers considered when buying in an online store. My suggestion would be how about a free delivery for every item that a customer purchase during this valentines day? In this way, customers will remember that this store will always gives free delivery charged not only in valentines day but also in other seanal holidays.

I never thought of this, but i have to be careful because charges vary and i might end up spending more though. Haha! But this is a good idea. I might try to do this in the upcoming holiday. Thanks!

Hi! Since it is valentine season, couple promo is really a trend now ????. It is like a buy one and get one free promo so that you could attract your consumer to buy since for them, they could save 50% of the price. Couple promo also is appropriate this season especially if your products are apparel or tshirt since it will very match with the theme of having a couple shirt for just a price of one. It will truly catch the attention of the customers.

I'm planning to buy a couple shirt and a couple watch at Lazada. They have marked down the price for 50% discount. The promos are good especially for this Valentine's Day. It's really nice and beautiful. Many lovers out there would love to have one. It woud be a memorable gift suitable for this season of love. I'm sure it would give pleasure to the ones we love.

The best days for sales in my opinion are Valentines, Easter, and Christmas. That's when as a seller especially in retail you make your sales. If you do this well, this will keep your business in the green no matter how many sales you make for the rest of the year. For valentines day I think you just need to look for trending topics on Valentine and also what people are looking for. If for example chocolates are trending, it would follow it's probably because of valentines and you can use that.

Chocolates and souvenirs related to Valentines and Easter are for sure going to sell. It is very common for people in my country to buy this stuff during these festivals. Many sellers make the most of this season by engaging in persuasive advertising to attract customers. However, things may be different in your country. You can conduct a little survey and try to get some people's opinions. This might help.

There is this restaurant around where I live that had a special valentine's day treats dinner. Once you book for a seat out with them and pay, you would get a free bottle of wine as their valentine gift package. I took the opportunity to have my darling one taken to the restaurant and had one good meal before taking our valentine celebration to other places of our choice.

On any special holiday discounts are the best idea. For exemple, when you celebrate Easter you need some things if your tradition as you to have it in that day so you will buy it anyway but if you make a discount people for sure will buy from you. Now depends from region to region, culture background and religion. Every nation has their own things that are selled better then anothers.

I think anything that celebrates the season using the colors of the day is the right thing to do. You can make sure that you get the sort of options you are looking for when getting valentines Day or St. Patricks day functional displays that are attractive and allow users to get the kinds of things they are looking for.

In my country, people do like unique ideas in Valentine's Day. It's a trend here delivering flowers, stuff toys, and with a singer person. It's called "Harana" or Serenade. They basically deliver what they purchased online and then they're going to serenade the person with their favorite love songs. Serenade it's an old tradition here but it's being reborn again when Valentines come. Most girls do like being serenaded their heart melts they feel like they're the luckiest girl in the whole world. For some, they would think this kind of promos a bit corny but it actually works.

Selling holiday-themed hand-made greeting cards is a great idea. The novelty of buying something you know can't be bought elsewhere is always a good motivating factor that can boost sales. You'd however need to tell your social media connections and those who visit your blog/website about the benefits of buying what you are selling.

People will most probably buy something if you can convince them that there is a good reason why they should.
