Can you really own a cat or dog?

With a dog, you don't really own them, as they are part of your family. And, with cats you simply co-exist, rather than own. Do you find this to be true too?

Yes that is true. Cats like to be in charge so you will never own them.

I think you can own a dog with a loyal and trainable breed rather than a cat who never obey what you command it to do. More and more dogs breed can be taught simpler task if you have lesser time with time, but with more time and patience, a can dog can be really helpful to have around your home. I want to have one sooner as my companion and can ease a lot of stress here at work.

Dogs are the most loyal pets man has ever known, it's the simple reason it's called man's best friend. I wouldn't say much about cats but I definitely believe that dogs can be owned and be made to do ones bidding at any point in time.

My grandmother owned one for years and it's still loyal to the core.
