How do I take care of a dog?

Recently, a friend of mine gave me his 2 year old Bulldog. He's moving out of state temporarily for personal reasons and the place where he'll be staying for the next few months won't allow him to bring the dog along. I've agreed to keep his dog until he returns. I'd like to provide the best care possible. Please recommend some basics of dog care, such as best dog food, chew toys, activities for a dog.

Every animal or pet needs lots of love and affection and plenty of your personal time. All that in addition to food, water and daily time outdoors for personal comfort. Talk to your vet about the best foods for your specific dog as this can vary by breed and age of animal. Make sure you play with your pet often enough to keep them happy and interested in their surroundings. A bored pet is an unhappy pet, so keep them active!

Make sure that you have time to walk him daily or get him outside for exercise. You have to provide lots of love and attention to a dog and also be willing to take care of him when he is sick .

Bath the door,feed the dog,exercise the dog,let the dog have routine check to a Very at least once in two months.

If you are having difficulty in getting a dog food maybe because of finance as it wasn't your dog and you never planned on having one, take up using your left over food to feed him. I have known several dogs that are solely fed with food left over and they are very healthy that you wouldn't conceive that it's just leftover food they feed on.

Also, you should make out time to play with him, especially fetch play. I normally prefer using long tennis ball to engage in this play with my dog. I wouldn't be advising your using just any stick that you found around in a park, it's not safe for his health.

You are lucky if someone gave you a dog especially such a good dog breed. It is not hard to take care of a dog, all you must do is to buy special food for dogs, a chew bone or a toy (I advise you to take the dog with you when you buy these stuff to see what he likes). Take the dog out everytime he needs, don't let him bark too much and ask you about because he will become stressed!
