How to properly mix your music in Logic Pro

When mixing a song many mistakes can be made today im going to show you the correct way to mix your songs down step by step. Now that you have recorded your song you need to get the vocals and instruments to blend next to perfect.

The first step would be to make sure your studio monitors or speakers are at eye level, why? When sound travels it bounces you don't want your speakers to low or to high because then you don't hear the sound directly you hear the sound after its bounced off of walls ETC. Its important because it will throw your sound levels off if you don't hear it correctly.

The second step is to make sure that the vocals do not over power the beat. The tool i use for this is called a compressor, This will help you blend your vocals with the music by setting a threshold and attack. how do you know what setting to choose? you can find help on the internet all genres are different but the most important aspect is using your ears!

These are just 2 basic steps in starting your mix down. Later i will talk briefly about mastering track.

As always Thank you for reading and don't forget to follow me!

Thanks for the tip man. My goddaughter is in this phase, where she wants to play, edit, upload her own videos. She has been having some issues with the right way to mix, so maybe this recommendations will help her. So far I think she's doing a good job, but the speakers tip is great. Also, seems like we have to get her the compressor you are talking about, any advice on a specific brand, model, will we appreciated.
