I would love to hire a musician or band for a family birthday party. This could be a really fun thing for everyone attending. Is this something you would do?

I love live music, especially Jazz, Gypsy, Greek, and Classical. Classic Rock 'n' Roll is great as well. I play guitar, drums, mandolin, and occasionally drums. I have played bass guitar in the past as well. Both @Asmodeus and I share a huge appreciation for music from the early 1900's to the present time. I enjoy watching others play their various instruments!

Certainly, it will add glamour and prestige to the occasion especially if it a popular musician.Such event will be on the lips of people for a very long time.

It would be nice to learn how to play an instrument to be able to entertain friends at a party. Would you hire a musician for your special occasion?

Nope it is not a common practice to hire musician band in our country. Only funeral musician band is a common practice. Otherwise, a choir from house to house on Xmas day is great. I prefer to watch musician band on the side walk where people donate money.

Absolutely! Actually we always try to hire musicians that could play on birthdays and special occasions specially if its in our family and relatives. I am into a band too so sometimes we would just offer to play and it is somewhat easier now to play songs since most people like the popular ones and some teeny ones too. And it's always nice to jam with your family and friends live. Would you hire a musician for your special occasion?

Music is like food for the soul and if one could afford to hire a music band or an artist to come and perform on special days of his life such as birthdays, weddings and other occasions such as anniversary celebrations is not a bad idea as long as you can afford to pay for the performance. Hiring a musician adds to the fun of everything and gives the celebration a special kind of feeling for everyone that would attend it.

I see nothing in bringing a musician to a birthday party and other celebrations as long as the celebrant or the sponsor can afford that.

As much as it's cool to have a live band and a professional musicians to come sing good songs during special occasion like weeding, anniversary, child naming ceremony, house dedication etc, I really wouldn't agree with doing so in a birthday party.

I personally think that it would be more fun to get a disc jokey to play music and album songs for a birthday party. The party jams can make a birthday party very likely.

That's your opinion and I respect that, but I am sure that there are people, who have the funds to spend on inviting a top musician for a birthday party. Those type of people do not care how much it will cost as long as they have fun.

Well, I would say that the nature of such special occasion is what would likely determine if I would hire a professional musician for it or go with a mix tape.

Something like anniversary, I would hire a professional musicians to celebrate it.

If we get a big occasion again then yes i would hire a musician for it. Nothing beats live and calming music, while enjoying it with your family.

Who wouldn't right?, If I were asked to have band on some special occasion, like Birthday. I would want to have the Maroon 5 band, like they're the best band in terms of singing rock and pop genres as well. Would you hire a musician for your special occasion?

I did hire a band musicians for our wedding, and this year in May we intend to hire a musician again for our son baptized. We will make a small party at our home and we hope we will find someone who will accept our terms.
