Anniversary is coming up what do i buy?

So i have been happily married almost 3 years and me and my wife have been together 6 years total. We have 3 Beautiful children and the fire is still burning like the day we first met. We don't celebrate holidays and we only celebrate our anniversary. I dont have to tell you how important this is lol! Our day is coming and i already know what i am getting my wife but what do you guys expect? Does simple flowers and a card do the trick? Do you expect some extravagant gift from him or her or would you settle for something simple? Maybe a stroll on in the park or a dinner meal? I would love to hear some anniversary ideas maybe even some personal experiences.

As always thank you for reading and please don't forget to follow me:

Since this is a day celebrating enduring love, then I'd say, romance it up! Make it a real holiday she can enjoy. Give your wife the day off from typical 'mom duties' so she can go get a pampering facial or nail treatment. Treat her to a romantic dinner, cuddling on the couch while watching a movie she's wanted to see for awhile and just enjoying each other's company. Maybe even a nice foot massage for her as you reminisce about good times. All this will be a much more memorable gift than anything you can buy from the store.

I think it is so funny you mention mommy duties. I have tried this on normal days and it just does not work. she has a way about the things she does and if its not done correctly she will just redo it anyway so i just stay out of the way hahahahaha! She is a nail person but she prefers jams and we live an hour from the closest salon. The movie thing is a great idea its simple and my wife like that when we watch chick flicks. I agree making memories and moments are far more valuable than material possessions. Thank you for your feedback and input a women standpoint is very much needed.

OMG I am giggling here. Sorry Jkeyz2 you are so right. Us mommies want nothing more than a break from being a mom, but god forbid our man comes and does something in a way different to out way!

I agree with Bev here. money is not everything and when it comes to gifts from my husband I would prefer something that is thoughtful or romantic rather than expensive.

Flowers are great- red roses always scream of romance and love Anniversary is coming up what do i buy? A card is nice but only if you write a personal note in it!

Then a nice romantic date, it doesn't even have to cost anything, well except for the trusted baby sitter of course if you don't have a family member to look after the children. I think if you are married with three children then I would say anything without the children is perfect so a long walk on the beach together or something like that will do great.

Yea baby sitter would be awesome we always have the kids around us we are never alone. We live so far away from family or anyone that we trust that its never possible. Im not complaining because i love my kids im just saying its hard to find people to watch one kid three is nearly impossible. Thank you for you suggestions i really appreciate you for taking the time to comment.

Yeah I know what you mean. My family live a 4 hour drive away... my mother in law is close and she baby sits the kids for us on the maximum two times a year we go out without out kids LOL.

I can't get a baby sitter yet. My daughter is 5 years old and my son is 3 years old. I just can't do it yet. I can't hire someone I don't know to look after these precious beings for me.

That said I would just about kill for a night off haha

I always get her a getaway type vacation, something fast but fancy only just for the two of us. She isn't much for physical things and products, I never buy her those, better for her to buy everything she needs herself, she is pretty practical so chances are she won't like the products I'm buying.

I think you should get her a box of jewelry. she will love it most females can actually die for this.

It all depends on your wife. It depends on how she is like a person, what type of person she is. - My girlfriend for instance, she loves gifts. Anything physical is appreciated a billion times and it could be something expensive or something dirt-cheap. As long as I give her something, and truly feel like giving that specific thing to her, she'll be grateful. - Like one time, I gave my girlfriend a handwritten letter and nothing besides that. In that letter, I told her how much she meant to me and how much I love her.

My girlfriend loved it and it was "the best thing ever". That being said, a weekend to Paris would have been the "best thing ever" too, and it would have been the best thing ever, because she is just like that. - She appreciates anything and everything I give her. Expensive or not. And she appreciates it, because she knows it's coming from my heart.

If is an anniversary the gift should be big and special. One thing that you can give her is writing the day of your wedding on a gold necklace and give her some red roses. If you are a woman a want to give him something you can buy a brand watch and write on the watch the day you met, the day of your wedding or maybe some personal quote. You can also plan a travel together to some beach or another country or city where you can spend some quality time without the children.

For me i am not yet married but i have a girl friend we celebrate each year on our first encounter of falling in love. so each year we go to different place to have some time to cherish every moment. i have been happy with her since then i surprise her in a way that i made a long love letter every anniversary and that made her cry and fall in love deeper with me.

I think that it's your financial capacity and capability that would determine and decide what you could afford to buy for your darling wife. If you can afford to buy her the whole world, why not as long as it would make her happy. Once she is happy, I have reasons to believe that ultimately you are a happy man as well.

If you can't afford extravagant spending, take her out to a nice warming and lovely restaurant, try and recreate your engagement day or proposal day, I am very optimistic she would love it so much.

Good luck and enjoy your anniversary.

This is so nice, congratulations you have a big and nice family. I think you should surprise your wife with a dinner in a special place for both of you, take her one flower (her favorite flower, only one....a woman don't need a bunch of flowers for her matters that you gave her one), and as a gift you can buy her a bracelet or a fine gold chain (every time she will wear any of them she will remember the moment and she will think of you).
Have fun and enjoy your anniversary!

I think it would be nice if you will buy a thing that is both memorable for both of you. A thing that will show how much you love each other. For having a long relatipnship like this is impossible nowadays unless you really love each other. So it would be nice to think what you think is best for both of you.

For me, it doesn't matter what you would give to your husband/wife as long as it comes from your heart. But if you're that rich and can buy some expensive things, then you should buy it and not just give it right away but put or make something memorable out of it because things aren't forever and you can't treasure it forever, but memories stay and will last until you die.
