Book Suggestion: The Cosmic Serpent DNA and the Origins of Knowledge

I say book suggestion in the title but I've not really read this one yet. I've read a little into it, the content, fore notes and back cover and that but it looks like a really good read.

Book Suggestion: The Cosmic Serpent DNA and the Origins of Knowledge
The Cosmic Serpent DNA and the Origins of Knowledge is written by Anthropologist Jeremy Narby who spent a lot of time living with and amongst Peruvian Indians. What Jeremy learned is that they had a phenomenal amount of knowledge on plants and biochemistry which had somehow been communicated to them through the use of powerful psychotropic like hallucinogens!

Jeremy was first very skeptical about all of this, but found that through his own curiosity to know more, these Peruvian Indians knew a lot about things as diverse and as complicated as neurology, molecular biology, shamanism and ancient mythology. And what he found out was that everything they knew about these things was true!

Through reaching a certain level of consciousness through the use of special naturally prepared drugs, they was able to "tap into" this collective knowledge that is somehow stored and then transmitted down to them through their very DNA.

In the The Cosmic Serpent DNA and the Origins of Knowledge, Jeremy has done a great job of explaining how all of this worked and how these ancient indigenous tribes from Aborigines to the Egyptians, have known about things such as DNA for a millennia already and that much of the information that we have to cure illnesses and diseases have been long lost throughout time and replaced with modern medicine of today. Such as the Double Helix structure, something only really discovered in 1953 but something that ancient tribes from thousands of years ago already knew of!

Book Suggestion: The Cosmic Serpent DNA and the Origins of Knowledge

So yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into this book soon. It seems like a really insightful and eye opening read on how much of today's modern medicines struggle with curing and fixing illnesses and diseases that ancient tribes and societies from thousands of years ago had already found a cure for but much of that information and know how has been lost in time and replaced with traditional modern medicine.

I do respect ancient people's knowledge, some of us laugh about it, because of their extreme solution with it. They are more wise than, the modern people today. I always respect those people, because they hold, the key of secret, and helpful knowledge. Most people, think that, they only relate to sort of imaginations. But, most of them have the basic cure of diseases, and many others.

I always imagine, how they suppose to learn those things by themselves. I always figured it out, when my grandfather cure my cousin with the use only of coconut juice. That's why, respect those people, for they have such amazing talents, existed.

Anthropology is my subject of interest. I also take interest on a serpent, even when it is used figuratively. I have never heard of the author Jeremy Narby or his book. However, I am quite fascinated with the title. I might find this book on Amazon and if the budget permits, I will be buying this book.
I am interested in learning how the universe evolved and how knowledge originated. I am open to cultural interpretations as well as scientific interpretations.

This is the type of the subject which I have not yet explored. Looks like something worth reading. i am not sure about the theories presented here. So I won't be a good judge of the book even if I read the content. There seems to be some good options for the anthropologists to read though. For me it'd be just another new subject. So I'll take a look at the book once I get the time to do so.

This seems to be a really good book. I have never read those types of book. There have been many advancements in the medicine and yet we have not been able to find the cure for many diseases. Maybe we could have found the remedy by digging in the past. I want to know more about Jeremy Narby and the Peruvian Indians. I will try to look for this book. Thank you for sharing.
