I have a painting using a mud

When I was in high school, I had a painting that, displayed in our library. I wanted to know why my teacher didn't return my project, because when ever I have done something, I always collected all my projects, as a motivation. My teacher explained me, why she put my painting above the book shelves was because it was the most unique she'd seen, so I let her got my project. I always love to watch people appreciated my works, it motivated me to do more.

As of now, I experiment many arts, and different approach. It was my idea to used mud, and I don't intend to replicate other works. Many people accuse me of plagiarizing those approach, but I believed it was my first idea use such thing.

It would have been awesome to have a picture so we could see the painting as well. It's definitely a unique way of painting a picture. Did you use your hands to make the painting or did you use some sort of a tool for it? It's great that you are experimenting with different approaches. Don't let anyone stop you, there is no such thing as plagiarising someone's method of painting. We live in a free world, you can paint your art whatever way you want I have a painting using a mud

I like the idea of using mud for artworks. Unique paintings and sculptures always make for fascinating new art. They're creative and don't follow the mainstream culture.

I agree that we need to see those piece of art you have made and I do believe insecure people will always find something bad about you but that shouldn't stop you from making art, take their criticizing as a stepping stone or a stage to become the best someday. And like what as he said, this a FREE WORLD, you can do or paint everything you want to, it's your hand and it's your choice.

Yeah I definitely would have loved to see it as well! I love seeing people use unconventional means of painting. For example, I've seen many paintings that were done using coffee, and it's incredible to see the level of quality and uniqueness that some of these pieces have. All I could ever do with coffee was stain my shirts!

This is the wonderful thing about art though. You can use almost anything on the face of this planet to create it, and it will be something unique that has never been done before and will never be truly replicated, since true art can only ever be done once.

It's nice to hear your creativity and your passion in your work. You should never let yourself be affected of what others might think of you. As long as you love what your doing and you know you did not copy it from anyone, you should be happy and proud. Continue your passion whatever happens. You know we can't please everyone. Your lucky to have that god given talent so just enjoy and nourish it. Not everyone is given a talent. Like me. LOL but i'm happy with my life. I don't care what other people think or says as long as i'm not hurting anyone.

I think art through mud and other stuff is creativity. I am not sure how it will hurt others. But it may only have issues of some mud infection. But keeping that aside, it seems like a good practice. We just have to check though.

Wait, you're saying that you're the first person ever to use mud as a painting? I don't think that's possible since ancient cultures have been painting in the mud and integrating it into arts for centuries but perhaps you meant that you were the first one in your school? I have a painting using a mud

Anyway, I always appreciate very creative and artsy people. I find it fascinating when somebody makes something that I have never seen before. I just stand there and go, "Wow!" - that's when you know that your art is good. When you impress and amaze people. You should consider doing more art and painting. Maybe you can make a living out of it.

I failed to mention about the first mud artist in our school should be me. I don't intend to be one. I know that, maybe in the past some in ancient culture such idea exist before, and maybe it just realized today in coincidence. Back then, In my school, we can't access Internet, and it was extremely prohibited by school. We lived in rural area were we adopt isolation from toxic world. So, we create our own way just not to made our life boring.

I do a lot of activities, such as sack racing. We prohibited people who don't socialize to other person. Everybody back then, in our school, encourage such healthy life style. That's why I came up an idea of simple art.

I wish you were able to furnish us with the image of the painting. It will have added to your write-ups.

Well,I still think it plagarizing if you copy exactly another person work even though yours is in a muddy form.

It will be more creative of you if you could use an abstract things or your imagination to do the painting that way you will be more creative and your panting would be more outstanding.

That is so cool for someone who was somewhat isolated. I would have loved to see it. I have always loved painting but for some reason I never tried.
sometimes you come up with an idea that you never knew someone had and so you would like to think its yours but in the real sense it actually is. Keep up the good work

I do not at all think that it is plagiarism to express your art in mud form. People who want and do not have the talent to do what you do are the ones that would think in that manner. I think that it is very impressive how you chose to use mud for your art and hope that you will continue to do so.

Wow. You should have uploaded an image of the piece of art here that we may have a look at it. You have really created a lot of suspense in me, and I too would have loved to congratulate you. The other thing is that I would like to second @preciseone. Using the same materials to create another object, I would not consider that plagiarism. You creativity is determined by how you use the mud. So on my part, I would like to encourage you to keep up the spirit.

Cool, I would have liked to see your painting though. One of my friend is very good with this, he was very handle with the mud, you would think he was build with the mud tag on his back head. But he said that when he was a kid, he usually plays with the mud. And now he paints with it and already a master in the act and he is using it to feed himself now.

Wow. Do you know how much he manages to make with this? I mean, I understand that sometimes the artwork must be nice but it sounds weird to me that people are willing to buy a lot of this "mud art". I'm sure that a lot of this artwork looks good but I'm not sure whether I would have it placed up on a wall in my house.

LOL, there are people that value mud arts, and will spend all it takes to get one on their homes or their place of work

I think that is is awesome how creative you were, and it is even cooler that acknowledge this moment of creation in your life with such importance, That says a lot about you and how much you care and think about art. I would also have liked to have seen an image or picture of this piece of art. I have never worked in this medium, but I think I understand what you are talking about here. You were not plagiarizing if you were using your own true inspiration and intent, even if you were using the same materials that others have used before you.

such a very great idea my friend. You inspire others to be in that field like me. When i was young i wanted to be a paint artist but i have nothing on other materials so sad to say i never grew old with my passion and because of you, you helped me motivate to try it again and i'm hoping to be successful someday. I hope i be able to see sample of pictures of your painting godbless.

I never heard painters using mud for painting. The question is does mud will last long when we paint it in canvass? As far as I know when mud becomes dry literally it will lose like powder unless you will mixed it to any liquid or adulterate it to become sticky.

On the other hand it is good you try other things for your arts. If you will succeed in using mud maybe it will lead you to fame as an artist. Continue to what you love doing and I wish you success all the way.

As much as it sounds funny, I think it's a wonderful experience. To actually paint using mud might sound easy but in reality it's a very difficult task. Consider how difficult it is trying to do an actual painting using real paint and then you imagine doing it with a mud.

I would really appreciate and encourage you on your adventure as it's not easily done. Most people find painting uninteresting and boring but if you enjoy it, I would say stick to it. Painting using mud shows you have much admiration and flair for artistry. I recommend that you pursue what gives you job and make you happy. Good luck.

WOW. That's amazing to hear. I've never seen anyone do that before. Maybe you could put pictures in here to add more excitement? You should probably go and attend some painting contests. That would be really unique to the eyes of the judges. It's common to use colors in paintings and I can't imagine a painting with mud. I would love to see it. But today I'll go google and search for it. LOL. Just because it intrigues me. I am quite an art person and this is new to me.

thought you can use mud for painting. You should have taken pictures of it for remembrance. But how did you come to a thought of using mud as your medium? You know what, you should continue doing those kind of painting and then share some pictures here, we would love to see your artworks. I have a painting using a mud

I think that would inspire more peoples to work and be creative in their own creations. I love art, Since i don't have any talent in drawing. They always tell me you can sketch this sketch that and i don't like it, because those arts i draw is just a past time. Anyways keep up the good work and you should try joining certain FB groups or websites so that you can inspire more peoples.

This looks like a good skill. And I can say that it can be surely be bringing more leads for you. I know there are some people who make the painting out of the sand. And it can be also selling good if you are willing to do the work on the art. That's what I'd say if you are into the painting on the regular work these days. You should take image and put it on the instagram. That would surely helps as well. You should post image of your art, I am sure people here are going to appreciate that for sure.

Do those accusing you of plagiarism provide any reference as to where you happen to have plagiarized your art? Just continue with your work and avoid those criticizing your work. You always can't impress everyone. It's good to know that there are people like your teacher who really appreciate what you are doing. There more people around like her.

Very inspiring. I haven't drawn or wrote stories and poems anymore because I wasn't inspired when I got older. Now all I can do is look at people's work. I think some of the people who love arts have a very similar story, but in the end many of us find a way to do what we like despite how negatively society look at it. Keep it up, and remember having a hobby or talent is its own reward.

keep doing that Sir. you have that talent to be good at painting maybe someday you will be a famous painter. so i suggest to listen to those people giving you negative feed back just try to improve yourself to be a better painter using mud as a tool in painting. if i have that kind of talent i would rather use it to the fullest. keep it up you will prosper.

I haven't been much of an artist myself, nor had any interests in the likes of it, but ever since my younger sister attended art classes, I am now able to appreciate it more. I have seen quite a few styles and interpretations made by different artists because of her, but I haven't seen anyone using mud yet. Despite that, I think that it's really interesting and unique, and since your previous works have been given recognition by your teacher, then I guess you're pretty good at what you do.

Ignore those people who are jealous of your art. They are not worth to listen to. You should be proud of your art that your teacher had put up where every student can admire and learn from you. Once, my teacher also put my drawing on the board in the hall where everyone could view. I felt proud of my work and that was the only one.

That was very creative! I would also want to make such unique painting as that. But unluckily, I'm too busy on my school works and I don't have time for doing that but I hope someday I can make one like that. Thanks for the idea.

Yes, he should take advantage of this painting and monetize it. I'm sure there many more people like his teacher that would like to buy a painting like that. I also thought he should try asking his teacher to contribute something small for this painting because the teacher is using the painting free of charge on the book shelves.

When I was still at school I was good in arts and my teacher used to praise me every now and then. I once won the second price at a painting competition. When I joined the university I stopped painting. I was working and studying at the same time and it was difficult for me to manage my time. I regret that I have not pursued a career in arts. If only I could have turned back time, it would have been amazing.

That's a great skills you have there, being able to paint using mud and even being appreciated by people. That's the best thing you can ever have if your an artist the way people loved your art where they actually be inspired of what they see and the complements that you received and makes you to do some more creative things to make those people smile again. I hope I can see you art it must be interesting I have a painting using a mud .

Indeed! What makes are great as it's uniqueness. Whether you paint with mud or with anything else the important is to make sure it's unique and that it conveys your expressions. There is no art without emotions and the artists that can convey their feeling through their work are usually the best!

That's so cool! I hope you could attach a photo of your work here so everyone could see. I could not imagine what are the things you put into painting, I hope you could give us an idea.

By the way, have you heard about painting with blood? A little creepy, right? Months ago, I was watching our local news and I saw this man painting portraits with his own blood. I don't know if this is creative for you but I think it's kind of weird at the same time. However, you can see that his work is marvelous and it's not too obvious that what he used was his own blood. Tell me how you think about this!

You are all welcome to comment about this photo. Credits to the owner, by the way. The photo is not mine.

*Pic or it didn't happen* Just kidding. I have a painting using a mud That is so wonderful to hear. Back in my high school days, I also did some things which my fellow classmates and even the teachers thought that it's impressive. I like art and I would always be late everytime there is an art project that is bound to be submitted soon because I always put extra effort and time just to make it stand out. Dunno why I am like this until now. >.>

That's a great story! I loved it. Getting recognition is always good source of motivation, if you got that artistic vein you, you definitely should keep up with that work. I use to work in a art gallery and artist do come from anywhere and do art with the most bizarre things, I couldn't even imagine mud could be a inspiration to make art, but then there's you proving people wrong. Good work! keep doing awesome things!

That is interesting to know. In the world of art, there is always something new to use. It really depends on your creativity. I guess you use mud like a watercolor wherein different shades come with different water content. I once saw something paint with coffee too. I was an amazing monochrome painting use like a watercolor too. I also once saw someone paint using banana - the fruit itself and it is also a great art. I hope I can see your works and get recognition for it. I love watercolor painting as a hobby but i never have the creativity to move beyond new ideas. Godspeed on your works!
