Painting on Canvases

One of my favorite things to do is paint on canvases. I prefer to paint on one that has a frame, as I feel that they look nicer. I have been painting for about 3 years on them, and have even sold some! I started with a small project, and posted it on facebook, and I had several comments stating how great it looked. Since then, some people have hired me to do some of their work. I feel great about that as I think it is great that they like my work enough to want to purchase it. Have you ever painted on canvas and if so, what was the outcome?

I can't say I have ever attempted to pain on canvas no however I do love canvas paintings, they look a lot better to your normal painting and the way the canvas is, it gives a sense of the image on the painting shooting out at you which I feel sets off a room just nice when you have a painting like that.

I have one canvas painting in my front room and it's of a flower and it really sets the room off nice where I have it placed. I would love to get more canvas paintings but right now it's working out what kind I want.

I don't like paints at all. I am not that taken with artistry, it's not my thing and for the record, I see painting as a messy task. Although I can admit that the ones done well are very lovely but I simply cannot see myself engaging in it.

Good luck to any that enjoys doing so.

I am a fan of drawing and painting but I don't want to end up just looking for great works of great men. So, I decided to try doing my own arts. I start to make drawings first. I know I'm a newbie but I am contented to the outcome of my works and I know I can do this. I continue making drawings until I got the hang of it and decided to level up. For the past few months, I am doing painting but only on illustration boards because I'm not yet good at it. I'm having a problem on putting the colors together and always fails to create an art work. Then I studied it and finally now I can paint good and can put the colors right what I want it to. For my future plan, I plan to do paintings on canvases and I'm really looking forward to it.

I have tried painting on canvas when I was a college student. My professor in Humanity required us to paint the Heroes Park (a park inside our university) for the midterm project. At first, I really dont know
what to do since it was my first time to paint on canvas. Then I started to draw the outline and details using pencil. After that I used water color to complete the other details. I can say that I am satisfied with the outcome, it was a little hard though, but nit as hard as I thought it would be. I passed my painting and scored 31/40. Painting on Canvases

Painting on canvas, I would love to have one and paint one. But whenever I'm trying to do so, Ideas just are just swarming in my head and I can't focus on what I should paint. I end up messing the canvas and not finish anything. If anything can motivate me I would be setting time for that.

I love canvas paintings. When I think about paintings, a canvas painting always appears in my mind. Painting can also be done on the walls, however, wall paintings are difficult to maintain and preserve. I want to paint o canvas but I don't have skills. Years ago, I wanted to join art college, however, I could not pass the entrance test. These days, sometimes I buy paintings (as long as they are under my budget).

When I decided that it's time to try painting, the first thing I did is figure out how to make canvas, it was one of the most satisfying moments on my life, and I'm willing to do it again.

You gave me a good idea. What you did is an offline freelancing. Painting is one of the hobbies I miss most. I used to paint when I was in college. I do it each time we have our vacation. Scenery and abstract shapes are the things I usually paint. I don't paint in canvass though. Since it's a hobby, I just paint on a bond paper. I just do it for fun. I never thought of monetizing it. I wish I came up with such idea before. It's nice to monetize your hobby and talent. Now I'm thinking of adding it to my offline freelance work. Can you give me an idea where paintings can usually be sold and how much is the fair price for each painting? I'll be considering this for a source of extra income.

I had never painted on canvas but drawing block , which I can do pretty well. I saw my aunt drew oil painting on canvas, which requires lots of experiences and patience. It is a totally different concept of art. She even open up an art gallery for her canvas painting.

Canvas is just handmade paper. So it kind of feels the same usually. You can feel the same like typical drawing paper. I'd say if you are into painting then you should definitely try the canvas. It's definitely worth drawing and painting on it.

Canvas, acrylic and the mural painting can be really fun. And it is also an art. So that can surely add up. You can see that painting takes time. And you need to have a patience. You have to learn how to get things done with the perfection and the views that you have in mind. I think canvas painting is definitely a some task worth paying attention to. And it can be later be marketed so it's good that way.

I used to paint on canvases, since like most people I started my artistic career with traditional, physical mediums. I'd paint on canvas now and again while using oil, but for the most part I used high quality drawing paper to make most of my art, since I used watercolor and gouache paints mostly, as well as charcoal and pastel.

These days, I've strayed away from physical mediums and mostly do digital painting. I've learned to replicate many traditional art styles within Photoshop, using a multitude of brushes along with my drawing tablet.

I paint a lot on canvases, I try to bring my imaginations to bear on each painting, sometimes I try to tell a story with it or give an inspirational message with it.I do a lot of this as a gift for friends and family but not really thought of selling online, maybe I will start by just uploading them and showcasing on my page to get people's opinion before thinking of selling them.
