Your Favorite Summer Fruit

There's an influx of fresh produce of fruits during the summer months.  And I love ripe Mangoes.

The Mango harvesting season here starts every March and continues until May.  And there's nothing like a fresh, juicy Mango to eat during summer.

I also like mango but it's quite expensive in my country. I prefer to go with the good old banana. Bananas aren't just healthy but they also give you quite a lot of energy. I often cut one up and put it into my cereals for breakfast.

Mango is my favorite fruit. I enjoy eating mango and I can eat 1-2 kilograms of mango every day. I have a mango plantation in my farmhouse and I do not have to buy the mango. I get fresh mango, free of pesticides from my orchard. I also have the banana in my garden.

Wow. It is nice to hear that you have a mango plantation and that you have a farmhouse for it. No wonder that you can eat that much not minding its expensive price because you won't actually going to but it anyway. Honestly, I haven't tried to eat a mango fresh from the tree. I think it could be more tasteful than what I usually buy in the wet market or from the supermarket stores. I wish I could also have a fruit plantation area someday. Haha.

We call mango king of fruits. We have around 6 varieties of over a dozen mango trees. Some mango trees are older than me, some trees are just three years old. The mango trees were planted by my grand parents, my parents. I have also contributed to this garden by planting 2-3 mango trees.
The benefit of eating mango from own garden is our fruits are free from pesticides.

Wow that's nice, along with the fruits you also have a nice strong tree that you can use as shades during hot days. We use to have a small tree house on a mango tree when i was little and i miss the part that you eat while your having fun.

I have a small farm. I have fruits around my farmhouse. We have variety fruits, I get t eat at least one fruit every season. can eat mango and lychee during the summer, I can eat pears during the rainy season, guavas during the autumn and citrus fruits during the winter season. I can eat banana around the year. It is nice to eat your own produce.

It's good to own some farm space. You can see that some of the time your farm space always helps out in understanding what to take care of and what not to as well. That's what I have noticed in some of those conditions.

Whoa! It's nice to know that you love mangoes and the fact that you already have plantation of it for you don't have to buy it anymore but instead just eat as much as you want. Also, it is very good for us if what we are eating are free of pesticides. Good for you Your Favorite Summer Fruit

Well that is great to know, mangoes are really delicious. It is really good to buy those mangoes that are free of pesticides since it gives us the assurance of being healthy and free from the harmful effects of chemicals which are now being used to increase the production of a certain products.

Hey, that sounds cool! You're very lucky to have your own mango and banana plantation. I've fantasized about having one myself. But it's unlikely to happen where I'm living right now. Maybe in the future I'll get to enjoy fruits like you do.

Mango mango mango. Bring it to me uncut when ripe or sliced and I will still eat it. I also have a thing for juices infused with mango and hence I think that they are my all time favorite fruit.

Mango is a good summer fruit. I have many mango trees in my backyard. We not only eat mangoes but also juice it. We make mango jam and mango pickles. We also make mango bread and preserve it so that we can eat it in winter. The only drawback of mango is it is not good for diabetes.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Youngshark
Too bad about diabetes. Nonetheless you better hope that I do not discover where you live my friend because when I come over I will not chill in the house but make sure that my phone has full power and identify a tree with the most ripe mangoes. Hahaha.

I wish that I could still eat bananas. I used to absolutely love them. Whether mashing them into my oatmeal, blending them up in my smoothies, or just chomping down on them whole, bananas were a daily part of my diet. I don't know what happened, but later on in life I seem to have developed an allergy to them. Now, almost every time I eat a banana, my mouth and throat get super itchy/tingly, and I get really bad stomach pains.

I say almost every time, because for whatever reason, it doesn't always happen. Very weird.

Too bad you have the allergy, banan is a tropical fruit, great for solving constipation problem and makes you feel happier. No wonder monkeys love bananas

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

DenisP
Like I had said, it would seem to depend on where the bananas actually come from. When I used to live in the United States, I'd almost always have an allergic reaction to bananas. I live in an Eastern European country now, and I found that I can often eat bananas without consequence. I suppose it could be that markets in the U.S and Europe import fruit from locations with different practices, as well as standards and regulations. Maybe U.S bananas involve some sort of pesticides that I was allergic to while the ones in Europe import from somewhere that doesn't use said pesticide.

I'm just spitballing though, as I don't really know what it could actually be.

This makes me wonder if we're monkeys too. The fact that lots of people love eating banana could be a sign. I'm just joking. But monkeys sure know what to eat for a great snack.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Monkeys make for great examples. They have a better sense of what's good for us. Bananas have lots of fiber and nutrients to help with our digestion. One of the best fruits out there.

That' so sad. I wonder why that is. But I've heard about it. It really does happen to people in a random basis. I hope you experience it less often. Try melon. It's a great alternative to eating bananas. They smell very pleasant too.

I like bananas. Whatever season of the year, I like eating bananas. Aside from bananas, during summer, I also like eating watermelon. It keeps us hydrated so it ia perfect for hot weather. My son and I love eating watermelon, like we can eat a whole watermelon in one meal. I like mangoes too. But I don't feel like eating it during summer. Eating ripe mangoes during summer makes my skin a little bit itchy. I just make mango juice or shake during mango season. Mango shake is the best to refresh us from hot weather.

I agree, a mango would be a great treat during summer. Also its great as a juice or a puree where you can add more fruits like water melon and young coconut chunks. The cold drinks would be a nice refreshment during hot days.

Mangos aren't as common here as they are in other parts of the world, but I do love mango it is one of my favorite flavors. I will buy them occassionally in the store when I see them too. They remind me of a peach with a slightly different flavor.

I prefer sweet mangoes compared to the sour ones. Green mangoes are too strong for my taste. But I understand the appeal of adding stuff to it to complement the sour taste.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Kakashi2020
I like ripe sweet mangoes prepared as a smoothie or shake without any sugar, just ice, some whole milk, mangoes and optional honey.

Also mangoes can be made into salads, we have a salad here made with both Ripened yellow and sour green mangoes, tomatoes and onions it's best eaten with barbecue, roasted pork, chicken and beef. In one of our provinces a special mango sweet delicacy can be found its dried mangoes and it's really delicious to eat as a snack.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That sounds yummy. I like mango smoothies too. I prefer them without added sugar as well. They're already naturally sweet on their own.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I like bananas too. Though, some variety can be a little too sweet for my taste. I prefer the small ones that are soft, fragrant, and has just the right sweetness to them. Funny how bananas practically go well with all of our favorite fruits.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Bananas are also so much cheaper here in comparison to mangoes. In fact, I'd probably say bananas are the best value out of all the fruits on the market here, and they're quite versatile as well.

I don't have a favorite summer fruit, just because you can get most fruits at any time of the year, however I do like apples a lot, because they are fresh and there are a lot of different sorts that grow during summer and they are healthy and refreshing. Bananas don't really grow where I'm from, however imported ones during the summer are better, because they aren't fully GMO and that's a bonus too.

How about a devil's fruit? However, you won't be able to swim at the beach during summer. Your Favorite Summer Fruit

Kidding aside, we should eat more fruits during summer because we are more at risk for dehydration. The heat is too much and it is dreadful to even go outside during sunny afternoons.

Just banana for me. Summer or not, this the only fruit I like. I also like the avocado, but for just shake only. Avocado shakes is my favorite drinks during this summer season. I really like the taste specially if a lot of cream, but if just avocado without anything, I don't like it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I love avocado as a shake too, but yeah it tastes meh on its own, I try adding sugar or milk at least before eating the fruit by itself. I also like it when used in guacamole.

Banana is such a wonderful fruit whether it's a summer fruit or not but I'm sure it's an all round fruit because it's ever present and available. I tend to lose control whenever I'm eating banana and I'm glad it doesn't have any side effects from overeating it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think banana is just more on potassium and it's good for our health. I eat a lot of banana also. I also like the the other kind of banana, we call it saba in our country. It's taste good when you grilled it or you deep fried it with coated with caramelized brown sugar.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
@aeon. I also love saging na saba tho. Although my favorite fruit is actually Mango, I also love to eat bananas but not really with the ones who can't be cooked. I prefer Saba because it's sweeter (for me) and I also like to eat it specially if it's steamed and partnered with fermented fish (or ginamos in our dialect).

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

aeon
Oh yeah, the steam saba, I remembered when I was in grade school, our teacher used to sell this steam saba and if we don't buy this, we can't go home, a classic attitude of teacher before, and this kind of banana become famous and talk of the town because of the one senator in our country. lol.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Really? Your teacher forced you to buy her steamed bananas? (Oh that sounded weird a lil bit lol). Our teacher actually does the same but with Milk Balls (Yema) but she doesn't require us to buy. I'm actually a student of Teacher Education and as an incoming teacher that's such a very bad attitude for a teacher. It's actually against our code of ethics tho.

By the way, I didn't know about steamed Bananas becoming popular because of a senator tho. Who was it? I'm very interested to know tho :'D.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

aeon
It was requirements for us, when we were in grade school. We have to clean the room and C.R if we don't buy it, but not always steamed saba, sometimes bread with cheese. Your Favorite Summer Fruit

Actually not steamed saba, just saba only. lol. Oh, common, I know you heard that news, by the way, she's already in jail.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

What? My goodness that's clearly a violation of the Teacher's code of ethics tho. She should be sued for that. I mean, it's okay to actually sell products inside the classroom but by enforcing students? that's not acceptable.

On the other hand, yes I haven't heard about that because we don't have a television at home and my YouTube feed is all about K-Pop and I don't bother on searching news articles about politicians. However, it's best to just stop talking about that because I don't want us to get in to trouble because of mentioning some politicians tho. Your Favorite Summer Fruit

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yeah, it's illegal, and it was way back 90's during my grade school days, and that was a normal thing before. It's was just a funny and good memories for our batch to have that kind of teacher.

You're right, the news about the politician might be under the cyber crime specially against her the topic. beside it's already in court.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Ahh I see. It happened way back in the 90's. I was actually born in 1998 and my school days happened in the 2000's so it's hard for me to relate with the teachers imposing such illegal rules inside the classroom because during our time the code of ethics are strictly implemented by the Department of Education.

Yeah so it's better to just not talk about that person because you know, our safety is more important hahaha.

Another kind of banana? What is Saba? We have something that is called Plantain (platano in Spanish), is bigger and less sweet than banana. You can eat it when it's green or yellow, there are many ways to cook it, like fried, baked, steamed. Due to the fact I live in a tropical country, we can find it everywhere at anytime.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

It's different from plantain. Saba is small and chubby banana. Your Favorite Summer Fruit not really small, but a cute size. lol, but that's how we cook that banana also, fried and steamed, and we have plenty of this in our country also.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Man I don't know anything about another kind of small bananas. Do you have some picture? Lol. I will do some Google research about it haha. Where are you from? I've never heard about Saba, but maybe we call it some other name. I'm from South America and so far we just got banana and plantains.

Your Favorite Summer Fruit This one, lol. I'm from Manila, Philippines. This cute size of banana is very popular in our country, specially the deep fried and coated with caramelize brown sugar, and we call it banana cue.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Ohhh that's saba hahaha. For us it's still banana, but some people call it apple banana or "titiaro", because is super small. Wow Philippines, I would love to go there someday, I'm from Venezuela, super tropical and way too hot. We have summer station all year around, and bananas are available every single day. Thanks for explaining, I was very curious about saba.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

aeon
Yeah, we're living in a tropical country also, that's why we have so many variety of bananas, and this kind of banana needs to cook before you enjoy it. it's not the typical banana for us, but well, you can eat it as a normal banana.

Oh, I'm glad that you know that, "wow Philippines" advertising. I will recommend the boracay, if it's already open to the public again.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ballyhara
Oh my God, what an amazing place! I didn't know about it until now. We have beaches like those here, turquoise water, white soft sand, sunny all year around. I'm so sorry Boracay is going to be closed for about 6 months, but apparently is for a good cause. Otherwise, the environmental abuse will continue, and more than loosing a touristic spot, you will be gaining a contaminated island. Hope I can go there someday, it seems amazing.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

aeon
Yeah, that's right, Boracay it's gonna be great again. I just wonder why they need to develop the boracay to build some world class hotel? The tourist from other country just wanted to have or see something like virgin island or more on natures, and not the casino or hotel. That's why our president right now, wanted to demolish all of the establishments who illegally operate on that island.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

ballyhara
Agree, I would like to go there to admire and enjoy nature, not to lock myself in a Casino for days. Not everybody in this world is looking for luxury, in fact, the whole deal of going to the beach is to have fun on it. Obviously, those big hotel chains owners don't care on damaging and destroy everything, just to get their wallets full of money. Shame on them. I rather stay in a very relaxed, peaceful place.

Whoa! Avocado shake is indeed good but my mom instead of making avocado shake, she just chopped it mixed with enough amount of milk and sugar. It is perfect especially when there is ice on it. Mango especially the Alphonso flavor nearby my city is my favorite one. It seems like a good flavor. And it also gets imported around the world. I'd say that it's one good fruit worth tasting. As of now I have not tried it but I wish to try it at home someday. I am sure that there are people who are choosing the fruit in most of the time depending on the soil and the season there. I also like the watermelon but it is not always of good quality here.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Alphonso is said to be the best variety of mango, we have this variety in our garden. Alphonso is considered the best because it tastes sweet, does not have sour flavor and the fruit does not have fibers that get stuck between your teeth. I do not know the English names for some popular varieties like Dasehri, Neelam, Kesar. However, I can say these varieties are as good as Alphonso.

Summer is Pineapple season in the Philippines and here we have two varieties the big one which is a normal pineapple and a dwarf pineapple which is just a third of the size of a normal one. Pineapples contain a lot of phytochemicals that promotes good health by fighting cancer cells. I like pineapples a lot because their so juicy although it's quite hard to take off the skin but it's worth the trouble when you taste the juicy insides.

You don't get mangoes in the summer? Or does the mango coming through the import? I heard that pineapples and some of the tropical fruits are there in the Philippines. I am not sure whats the mangoes status.

A lot of mangoes here in the Philippines, specially during the summer, but I think mangoes is not seasonal here, we have a plenty of mangoes every month, it's just like a, the people much more love to eat mangoes during summer. Pineapple is a seasonal fruit in our country.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Yes, there's more mangoes than Pineapples in the Philippines. You can actually see mangoes even on the road side if you'll go to the province. Pineapples are also popular but you can't grow them easily anywhere. They're also seasonal as what @aeon said. However, even if I'm a Filipino myself I still don't know what season should Pineapples be harvested? @aeon, do you know when?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

aeon
No not really, I really don't know when is the pineapple season in our country. All I know about this fruit is a bromeliad, and needs full sun to form fruit, maybe that's the reason why a lot of pineapple during summer season in our country.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Ahh I see, I didn't know Pineapples need too much sun for it to bear fruits. No wonder why Del Monte spend so much on cloud seeding in Bukidnon (I'm not sure where their plantation is really but I heard it's in Bukidnon) to make rain water from clouds fall faster and to easily eliminate the clouds that are blocking the sun light.

Well if it bears more fruits in the summer, or the dry season as per what my prof said because he told us that we don't really have a summer in the Philippines, then the Pineapple's most preferable season is Summer/Dry Season.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

aeon
Yeah, maybe that's the reason why The Pineapple in the Philippines together with Costa Rica and Brazil accounted for almost 1/3 of the world production, because we are in the tropical country, and most of the time even during the rainy season, our lands still still dry.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
Yeah, I guess so. Our country's a Tropical one and I hate it because even if it's rainy season it's still hot and humid.

Btw, I find your last statement funny because it's really true, even if it's already rainy season some places are still stuck with a hot weather and their lands are still dry. I actually laughed while reading it because I remembered what my friend told me before about seasons. Here is what she said "Kahit tag-ulan na dry pa rin, parang skin ko lang kahit nag lotion na ako dry pa rin (Even if it's already rainy season it's still dry, just like my skin no matter how much lotion I apply it's still dry). Lol, such a classic self-rant from her.

I like pineapple too, only if it is cold and I usually add some salts when I'm already going to eat it. I only eat sweet pineapples and that does not itchy to tongue. Sometimes, we make pineapple juice as a snack drink but then I don't like it when it is not sweet.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I also love Mangoes. That's actually my favorite fruit and I guess that's the only fruit I won't hesitate to eat especially that I'm not fond of eating fruits. With mangoes, I love to eat it if it's cold and if it's really sweet because I don't like sour mangoes or the green ones. During Christmas, we sometimes make a dessert called Mango float which is a combination of Graham crackers, condensed milk, cream, and of course the Mangoes. However, during the summer I like to eat it raw or I'll blend it on a blender and add some ice and condensed milk to make a Mango shake.

There are lots of fruits one can enjoy during summer seasons. I have quite a number of fruits that I normally can't stop eating during summer season and I even grow some myself. They are,

Pear, mangoes, Papaya, Pear, Pineapple, Watermelon, Coconut and Guava.

I prefer Papaya that has its edible inside to be of red color, that specie of Papaya is very sweet and I prefer it to be a bit hard and not too soft. Soft Papaya makes me want to vomit, so I don't eat such at all.

We have farmers markets, supermarkets and yes some street-side vendors as well. I however don't often get fruits from street side vendors as the idea of fruits sitting out in the hot sun and baking doesn't sit well with me. Even with a canopy over them for shade. I don't trust it.

When it's growing sure. But once it has grown, has been picked, shipped and put on display. It should be in a cool area. Every grocery store I've ever been to, has the fruit and raw vegetables in same area. That area isn't freezing but it's certainly cool or room temperature.

Without a doubt I'd say my favorite is mangoes. They always remind me of summer and tropical weather. I also love pineapple! A few years ago I took a trip to Hawaii and got to visit the Dole Plantation where they grow pineapples, and it was a really unique experience to see. Also, they make some incredible pineapple ice cream there - you definitely need to try it if you ever go there.

For me I prefer the Water melon because it is very delicious and yummy. It is a good source of water or fluids that will help our body to fight thirst and lack of fluids. Every summer you would see a lot of both melons and water melons being sold at the sides of roads going to the provinces. There's literally hundreds of stores selling these fruits, although they are available all year round, summertime is harvest season.

I like them both, but I like melons better than watermelon's because it can be made into a refreshing drink by grating the flesh and mixing it with crushed ice and sugar or syrup.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

jaybee19
I can relate to this. Our province has a lot of farms who have watermelons and some of our road-sides have them as well because they grow naturally if you throw seeds there. However, I don't like Watermelons because they're not that sweet for me. For melons, I haven't tried any because it's not available in our province and I guess it's a little bit expensive here in the city.

I've also realized that melons are tastier than watermelons. I feel like watermelons are mainly just water.I mean, it tastes like water. So if you want a refreshing sweet drink, melons are the better choice of the two.

I'm from Philippines and I like to eat watermelon and mango during summer, sometimes I blend it and make it a fruit shake and juice. Its good also when you add a milk powder and crushed ice on both of them, and mango can also serves as toppings on halo-halo desert, this is very common desert here in Philippines especially during summer, halo-halo has many flavors but the I think the best seller is ube and mango.

I love summer. At the moment in my country it is cold and raining so it is dull, dull, dull. My country has fruits year round, but during summer we have more berries(strawberry and blackberry), mangoes and oranges. I love my mangoes and oranges which I can only eat on the weekend because during the week I eat a diet low in carbohydrates which only allows berries and avocado as fruits.Mangoes and oranges are full of vitamin C and apart from eating them as a fruit you can make juice, smoothies or make ice cream with them. Yum!

"...but during summer we have more berries (strawberry and blackberry)..."

It's the same situation on my end as well! We don't have many summer fruits in my country which are locally grown. In terms of local produce, the summer time is limited to pretty much watermelon and cantaloupe. However, I have a half dozen raspberry bushes in my garden, several blackberry bushes, and row after row of strawberries. I've actually already snacked on a couple of deliciously ripe strawberries fresh from my garden, and it's only the beginning of May!

I miss eating mangoes so much! When I still lived in the United States, we had fresh mangoes all year 'round thanks to regular imports. In the country I currently live in, it is practically impossible to find mangoes. When you do find them, they are of absolutely horrid quality.

That being said, my favorite Summer fruit has to be a tossup between watermelon and cantaloupe. Cantaloupe are the overall better fruit, in my opinion, but it's often hard to find good quality ones with a nice balance of sweetness and flavor. Watermelons, while being 92% water, aren't exactly the most flavorful of fruits but are generally better in quality and easier to come by.

Here in my country, there are varieties of summer fruits that we can enjoy. The most popular summer fruit among us is the mangoes, but what I actually like is the watermelon especially if it is a cold one. I enjoy its juiciness and its great taste. I often enjoy making it a fruit shake. Watermelon is also good against dehydration because it contains more water than other summer fruit except for coconut as well.

Summer is when Jackfruits are harvested here and it is a delicious sweet treat for me and my kids. It's commonly called here "Langka", with its sweet pulp and aroma, I love eating it freshly picked straight from the tree, it's a lot sweeter when fresh rather than those bought in the market. Jackfruits are really big and a family of 4 can't finish a single fruit. We also make candied jackfruit and jackfruit jam at home, I'm lucky my grandmother taught me how to do it when I was just a boy. I also love pineapple which are often available during summer. I like it very much because it is really delicious. I sometimes make a pineapple shake about it to cool down our body temperature due to the hot weather that we are experiencing. I like to eat pineapple perfect for rock salt which is really cool and yummy.

I also like to eat durian during summer because my uncle would always bring it whenever he will go home to our province to have a vacation trip for just a few weeks. I like it very much even though other people find it to be having a foul odor. I think they are just not used to it but it is really delicious and very yummy.

Water melon and mango. They're cheaper when it's peak season of course .
Summer is a hot season we all know that, watermelon is a fruit that is rich with water which helps you stay hydrated.
While mango is my most favorite every summer, whether it be ripe or "indian mango" as we call it here in the Philippines. We used to match it and dip it with "bagoong", it is a sauce made of small fish and prawns which is salted and fermented.

I love mango and watermelon for summer. Every summer my dad makes mango shake everyday. A refreshing drink that everyone in the family share after eating our lunch. Aside from mango, I enjoy eating watermelon because of it being so watery. It hydrates and also gives a refreshing feeling. I like my watermelon cold so I let it stay in the fridge for a while before I eat them.

Mango and watermelon are the fruits that I prefer to eat every summer. Watermelon is refreshing and it can help our body to gain water so we will not be dehydrated. Mango is one of the popular fruit here in my country and I love it because you can make a lot of way to make it more tasty like mango floats and a lot more. You can also make fresh drinks of these two fruits by putting it on blender.

During summer time, my family and I always go for a vacation in the country side where we can go and have fun to the beach while eating unlimited mangoes and melon. One of the bests is drinking a melon and mango shake. It feels very refreshing under the summer heat!

I love mango too. But I find it too sweet at times. It tastes great when balanced with milk. You don't even have to add sugar because it's already sweet as it is.

My favorite fruit is mango. But for a summer day, watermelon is the perfect fruit to eat. This is a very refreshing fruit that has lower calories. It has vitamin A, B6, and C. Watermelon is also good for fruit shake, smoothie, or popsicle. Watermelon is just right to keep you hydrated. And do you know that watermelon contains more lycopene compared to raw tomatoes? This fruit will not just take away your thirst but will give you a lot of good nutrients.

My favorite summer fruit is always watermelon. We all know that summer is the season of high temperature within the whole length of a year. Heat makes us sweat a lot and lose water inside our body. Watermelons are great fruits for keeping you stay hydrated while enjoying the summer heat.

My preferred summer fruit is Mango. One of the most infamous summer season fruits available out there. It has got a horrific rapport with fitness freaks and patients with excessive blood sugar. But, if eaten in moderation, mangoes aren’t simply flawlessly healthy, but may also even help you along in your weight reduction.

Since summer is a vacation season and most of all has a lot of activities and make us sweat more, the watermelon can help to replace the water substance you lose in your body by sweating. I love eating water melons. They are fresh and very sweet tasting. They are great for summer outings on the beaches. We do those traditional games as well where you go blindfold and you try to squash a watermelon with a stick. A very healthy food and we have fun too.
