What do you think about the rise of mobile gaming?

Since 2017 mobile gaming has had a larger market share than gaming for PC and consoles. Everyone has their mobile phones on them at all times and that advantage has been the driving force of mobile games taking over a larger share, the convenience of playing games while on your commute, during breaks, virtually anywhere is a big selling point. Also, the practicality of not shelling out money for a specific gaming console or money to upgrade a gaming PC has hooked consumers that would have not been able to afford those devices.
As a result, many companies are now porting their successful games for mobile. What do you think about the rise of mobile gaming? Do you think it will cause a nosedive in the quality of games? Will it be the downfall of console and PC games?

In the recent years cell phone technology and capabilities have truly skyrocketed, compared to what cell phones were capable of before that time. Today you can pay through your phone , send your emails , play games , take good quality photos. They have become an extension of ours. So I think those that took advantage of that and created games for mobile phones are making good money right now. Although these games cannot yet be compared to console or PC games in terms of graphics and quantity of content , these games are here to stay, evolve and flourish, because people will always want to play games.

Exactly! There is no way of comparing PC games or Consoles games with mobile smartphone games. It's never close at in any way whatsoever because the gaming specs are completely on a different level with PC and console games.

Maybe in the future, mobile games would improve to get to the level of PC or console games but it won't be anytime soon.

I completely agree. As of now, there is now way of comparing PC and Console games to Mobile games but with the rapid advancement of technology I have a feeling that the future would be sooner rather than later. Every year a couple of new powerful SoC is unveiled, each more powerful than the ones before it. At this rate we could have a far more advanced gaming environment on mobile in 4-5 years.

That is right. it is always advancing. Before I just play super Mario.

Me too. Super Mario was the classic game everyone loved. I wonder how we forgot about it. I guess it happens once you complete the game. But the nostalgia factor is always there when you revisit it.

I also play Super Mario together with my cousins. It's a fun games actually and even now I still play. Nothing beats the 90's games because it's a lot more fun.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
I think so too. Everything's so rapid and fast paced when it comes to gaming developers. New phone models are regularly released in less than a year. So ten years from now, we could have something very similar to a virtual reality phone.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

luv2xacosta
Well that's the good thing about having an advance technology. Nothing is impossible. It would not be shocking if virtual game would be launched on that time.

But wouldn't having a mobile phone with gaming capabilities compared/rivaling that of console and PC would only mean that the said phone will be ridiculously expensive? There's already gaming phones out there and still it hasn't affected console and PC.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

menchuuy58
I agree with you. They are of different level. I am thankful for mobile games.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Well, it is a different gadget after all. You can't really compare something that's created for consoles or PC to something as new as smartphones. But they're quickly improving in so many aspects.

I wouldn't be surprised to find that smartphones have become the new form of gaming. It has the potential to somehow surpass PC gaming since phones can be brought just about anywhere easily.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think mobile is already a gaming platform on it's own with the rise of MOBA games and battle royale games like RoS, PUBG, and Fortnite going on mobile. There are also MMOs which are only played on mobile.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

True. I also addictive in mobile games but I dont see that mobile games would get to the level of PC games. Though mobile games very handy and can play whenever you want. Still I would prefer PC games.

This is the best answer you could get for thisn kind of question. The only advantage of of mobile gaming is you could play it anywhere or anytime you want. Mobile gaming is about your convenience specially if you are always away from your PC and Console.

Man that's very well put, thank you, I agree with what you've said the capabilities of a phone today is massive compared to what it's capable before, it amazes me how people do this kind of things. People are awesome man, we're living in a very interesting time, I also agree that PC games are way more superior than mobile games well of course it's obvious the computer has many parts but a phone is just a single little thing where you can bring it anywhere and play games, I mean isn't that amazing?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Yes, it's an obvious advantage. Computers just have more processors working for them. Especially, desktops with their own CPU's. Mobile is like your compact version for online games. Instead of bringing your laptops, you can just take it with you anywhere since everyone uses their phones.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

JBeleren
Yes, it is amazing. That portability is what I think would keep it on top of the market share for the foreseeable future. When I was child I couldn't have imagined playing my PS one games on a screen much smaller than my TV, much less on a phone. This advancement that we are seeing in our lifetime is truly interesting.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I very much agree. Phones have evolved in so many ways. They've become the new form of transaction for paying stuff online. Whether it be online shopping, bill payments, or game purchases.

Adapting it for gaming purposes just seemed like the next logical step. As you've said, the people who've invested in this concept are making loads of money right now.

Game companies are carrying out research on daily basis in order to know how to satisfy and keep their gaming fans always and it's obvious that more people are looking for convenient ways to enjoy their games and it's only through playing without limitation which only mobile games can offer is the only way to getting that.

That's an interesting idea. I haven't thought of it that way. It totally makes sense. I mean, how else can they gather up to date data regarding the user's behaviors? Games like that are surely made to played for hours on end.

They've also made sure that people use it every day.

Well i dont think that there will be a drastic decline in the use of Computers and gaming consoles due to the use of Smartphones in playing online games. I usually prefer to play games on my mobile as it is more convinient and accesible all the time. However people who are hardcore fans of playing games on there gaming consoles and computers wont find find the same appeal in playing those games on smartphones. There is a huge difference in playing games on Smartphones and on the gaming consoles or computers.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
That's right. Hardcore gamers will want the best specs for their play sessions. Even the best mobile gaming phone can't compete with advanced gaming computers. It's on a totally different degree. Such as for those who play DOTA 2.

This is why it is important that everyone should plan their day to avoid wasting any time.

Mobile gaming just like gaming on any device can be addictive but if you allocate an hour or two to gaming every day if you just can't do without it, then that time wouldn't have been lost because you set it aside specifically for gaming.

Mobile gaming is getting to be a big industry but I don't think it can overtake the traditional computer games for now because the quality of the mobile games are more for the amateur enthusiasts. When you are into serious gaming nothing can beat the game on the console and even the computer can give you a different gaming experience than what a gaming app can do. My prediction with the trend is that there will be 2 paths of gaming, i.e. one for mobile and one for computer gamers.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
You're right. There certainly seems to be paths being made for gamers alike. One is for smartphone users who enjoy mobile gaming. The other is for intense players looking for the adrenaline rush of PC online games.

Multiplayer is the most in demand type of game right now. I feel like it's surpassed the demand for classic arcade type games.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Well, you might be right we just have to wait and see as the event unfolds because if we are to look at the statistics, people playing mobile games might still outweigh those using consoles and pc now.

Mobile gaming right now sure is in demand in the gaming industry and it makes sense mobile phones are more accessible than a desktop or a gaming console basically it means you can play video games anytime and anywhere. I played a lot of video game in my life and most of it is on pc but having this new platform is really exciting and also phones right now a having higher and higher specs so the quality of this mobile game will gradually increase and better quality games equal to a lot more mobile gamers.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes, that's one of their selling points. It's much easier for them to release new phone models every year. I think they've even released new versions around half that time. It's so amazing. You get to see the difference between this year's best gaming phone to the one three years from now.

I think it is good. As long as it is used for relaxation only. it is not good when you are addicted and you don't eat and sleep anymore.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
Yeah. That seems to be the setback for most games. They're fun to play at first. But then you end up playing for hours on end. So much that you become exhausted. I guess that's where you draw the line.

You need to set your limits so that you won't get addicted to it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

That is so true, gaming addiction has become a problem in our society. They are treating it as a true form of addiction in some countries. As long as you are responsible enough, you can use gaming to make life more enjoyable, some even do it as their main way of making a living.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Steve5
I don't think it will cause the downfall of other gaming platforms. In fact, it's only added to the attraction of having your own games to play. Lots of smartphone users have longed to be able to play games as fun as consoles. I believe that's what they achieved with mobile gaming.

I am guessing the VR and the mobile have a role to play upto 2020. Then I am guessing new devices will be coming. And we are going to explore more of those things. I can tell you that some of the time mobile gaming may overpower PC and console in near time.

I think that the rise of mobile gaming is now becoming more popular as it gives a lot of convenience to the people out there. I have many friends who are mostly playing their favorite online and offline games in their mobile because they can easily have it even during their office hours in work and I think that is one reason why mobile gaming is becoming more in demand nowadays. But of course I think the PC gaming would still be in its way as the two options of gaming have different views and uses on each other. It will only depend now on the discretion and preferences of a certain individual if what would suit his/her best interest.

I think it's only natural that it's occurred that way and has progressed the way it has. Mobiles have become such an integral part of everyday life for so many of us, so being able to game on them from anywhere is convenient and fun. I think the industry will just get bigger and bigger, and graphics and such will get better over time too.

As a good gamer I can really see the future of mobile Games being very bright,it just like the trends of people viewing or getting online now with mobile phones than other gadgets. Mobile games might dominate the industry the way it is going. Whenever there are more improvement with mobile games it will turn the market cheerleader.

Though technology has opened the doors for improved mobile gaming it still doesn't compare to consoles and even PC gaming. Mobile phones still have a limitation and one of them is the battery life. Compared to console/PC which can give you unlimited gaming time, with a mobile you're only limited to a couple of hours. Though there are some great mobile games, the quality still doesn't compare with those that are available on PC/console. So no I don't think it would cause the downfall of PC and console gaming.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Though technology has opened the doors for improved mobile gaming it still doesn't compare to consoles and even PC gaming.

There is also the small screen size which makes it suitable for playing some games but less so for others. There are plenty of racing games that can be played on mobile devices but fact is this games will look a lot of different on a bigger screen.

And there are some games which can be enjoyed more because of the accessories like gaming steering wheels which is why some games made for console or PC can't be enjoyed on a mobile device because you might need such peripherals to improve the quality of gaming.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

You're exactly correct! The gaming experience a console or a PC gives the player is levels higher than what mobile gaming can offer. Honestly the only good thing about mobile gaming is that it's more convenient.

Like you rightly put it, the advantage mobile phones offer, it's the fact that it's with you everywhere you go. Whenever, wherever you feel bored, or have some idle time to kill, or feel like having a little gaming fun, your mobile phone is right there with you. It'll be a little odd playing games on your pc in certain places, and this is something you can easily get away with when gaming on your phone.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I think mobile gaming was expected. I am sure now the high RAM mobile phones will come to market. Also the screen size of different type is likely to be there. I have seen some of the mobile gaming market opening up for android. And also some cases where the marketplace with the new OS would be something we can see. So far android has no new competition. But in near future that may surely happen.

Mobile gaming will get to be more and more popular because of the portability of mobile devices but it has its place. Fact is though we'll be seeing more games for mobile being made and the quality of said games improving quite a lot, the PC gaming market will remain unchanged.

What we'll probably see however is more cross-platform compatibility. Games will be made to compatible with practically any platform so it wouldn't really matter where you play it because you'll have the same version for PC, mobile and console. The game developers will probably make more money this way.

It's an 80/20 ballgame nowadays, 80 percent of Internet users are using Smartphones to access the internet and only 20 percent are PC users. This means the clear majority of people playing games are doing so using Smartphones and the number will continue to rise in the future. In my opinion this may eventually lead to the collapse and deterioration of the PC and Console gaming industries.

I'm not worried about the consoles in general as it still has a market for people who love to entertain themselves at home and play on a bigger screen. The one concerned here is the PlayStation Portables since they are mobile gadgets and in time might be phased out.

Great, I've not had many people discuss the effects of mobile gaming.I think that it is mostly popular among the younger generation. I think that most people I know prefer Pc and console gaming because the prefer comfort over convenience. I think because more people have smart phones than PC's and consoles this is going to take over in a major way. Most young gamers that I know use their phones.

Yes, dude, you’re absolutely right, mobile games over the past five years have become very popular and Google receives the main profit from its application store. Just imagine what a huge profit it is. Nevertheless, the company is trying to introduce various stocks so that people can save, because many applications cost a lot of money. I recently read on yourmoneygeek.com that Google has introduced its loyalty system and now you can receive free paid applications ...

What you wrote is really true. Most recently, I read an article about the impact of phone games on humans. I was struck by the fact that by the end of 2020 ( that is, already now) almost ? of the world's population (2.4 billion) play mobile games and global revenue from mobile games grew to $ 76.7 billion. This is a huge amount. However, in any case, I personally prefer computer or PS games. In addition, the computer game industry is also developing quite quickly recently. For example, just recently I learned about puzzler’s Fortnite maps on https://quantumbuilds.studio/puzzler/. I think it's really very exciting.

Mobile gaming is becoming more and more popular these years due to constant technology development, and you can easily find a lot of serious projects playable on your phone. But still, even if you run GTA San Andreas on your iPhone 10, it doesn't mean you will be able to play GTA 5 on your phone, and this is why Consoles and Computers are the main characters on the market. And it is more interesting to download a cool game on d2legit for your computer than to play Angry Birds on your smartphone.

The only thing is that I don’t play games like other gamers since I don’t have a console. What I mostly do is visit https://www.friv5online.com/crazy-games and play my games there, then exit the page immediately I’m done. The only reason why I don’t want to buy a console is that I can’t sit for half a day playing games like people do. It’s actually too much, honestly.

If you're not connecting to a pre-configured server, you need to know the server address and port number. Some websites will display Minecraft servers in an "address: port" configuration (for example, "play.avengeth.me: 19132"). If that's the case, eliminate the colon from the address and use the number to the right of the colon as the port entry. And in general, be careful with unfamiliar servers on any site. Some of them can carry a virus. I use this site https://servers-minecraft.net to find cool servers with popular game modes such as Skyblock, Prison, Factions, Survival, SMP, Towny, etc. I advise you to look for something interesting for yourself.
