Have you ever gotten paid for a product review?

The other day, I was discussing with a friend and he told me how one can earn by being part of some people that always take control of product reviews. He said that he used to work on a defunct website that pays members for reviewing a product.

Have you every gotten paid for reviewing any product?

Not yet. I have only heard and read numerous reviews regarding such jobs and I think that they apply more to those that are really into the products they have to review.

That is true as you should have the product that you are making reviews about or must have made use of it as well. This is something that is necessary when we are looking at how we can make use of the opportunity that product reviews present to us.

When you know a lot about the program you can easily diagnose the issues and know when problems are noted. You will also most probably give an honest review detailing a the important aspects.

The same is true with Vloggers. There are a lot of those who review gadgets and phones on Youtube and I wondered how they were able to disassemble thousands of dollars worth of tech just to review them. Then one of them explained that their channels have reached that point where their honest review matters to manufacturers that they sort of send their products to those vloggers and they make a review out of it. But you really have to know a lot about those products.

No, i have not got paid for any product review till now. I know the concept of paid reviews but i have never come across any website which offers money for getting there products reviewed. However we see a number of reviews that appear to be fake on Youtube or Amazon or many other such sites. I suppose people to get paid to make such reviews in order to boost the sell of the products and services.

The whole essence of paid reviews is to help promote sales and some have never really used a product but because a he or she is being paid, they will write anything positive and this can be misleading.

I don't really believe most of the reviews that I see because some people might not be honest when they are doing product reviews and this is something that is not right as far as I am concerned.

I have seen something like this before but I haven't try one yet. It was good paying job and you will only review some products or website and record it. When I have a free time, I will definitely try one. I could consider that as one of my source of cash.

Do you know any website for such? I will really want to have a try and see how that is going to benefit me as the end of the day as well.

I haven't seen any site that pays for a product review. I hope I can find one. I was excited to find those sites and add them to my extra income generating sites.

Try Amazon Reviews they give out free Amazon stuff to reviewers.

Another site is Software Judge where you get paid by reviewing new tech, apps and software.

I will check out Amazon to see how I can earn some Gift Card after getting involved in some product reviews. This is one of the ways that people get to earn extra income and it is always nice to have a try at it.

I would check this site. But do they pay it through PayPal or they just give gift certificates?

I have seen product reviews on freelancing sites like just5k. A client will just want a review on some products and it mostly products listed on popular and most used marketplace.

I haven't experience to be paid for a product review since first of all I don't have much knowledge on some sites that would give me money for doing some reviews. I have heard that many people are making a lot of money from it but unfortunately I am not one of them that are finding the legit and best site to work on for product reviews.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I have struggled to find a legit website that can pay for this kind of work as well. This is the reason I am working on how I can get to link up so that I get to earn while I do product reviews.

I have honestly never got paid for making the paid review. I had my set of the issues for the writing the product reviews but people should understand that part. I can tell you from the experience that if I can get such money, I'd be regularly reviewing the products. And hopefully that can open new doors for the product reviews and the content.

I think that the websites where one can get to write this kind of review is kind of rare and that is the reason we don't see it often. If it is available, I don't think there is anyone that wouldn't want to take part in it.

Fiverr used to have such option. But now a days they have asked the sellers to stop this. I think it may not revive anymore. As the paid reviews are not more available any more on fiverr. I used to review books but now a days stopped that.

Nope. I know that making reviews on products can earn income. Unfortunately, doing product reviews is not on my skill set right now.

Does it take some kind of skills to make this work? I will definitely want to learn more once I get to see a website that allows users to review products for them.

Offline, I get all sorts of invites from different Market Research Companies for taste tests and product testing, in a way it's just like giving out product reviews. I also did some restaurant and fast-food reviews. Offline reviews usually pay between $30-$80. While online ones are cheaper between $0.50-$4.

Wow! This means that once someone can get the deal offline, it is going to pay much more better than what we get when we write contents online.

I usually leave products reviews for free, until recently I found out that you can actually get paid for it. Even so, a company will pay me $10 if I record a video of myself unpacking the product. I once ordered three products from the same company, recorded a video, and they didn't pay me. They said I did something incorrect in the video, but that's a lie. They practically scammed me.

Ohh which company was it? Do you know any more sites we can try out this product reviewing? I'm curious and slightly interested in trying it out.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

So sorry for the experience. One thing is that not every company will be honest on this kind of situation and that is the reason we should mind the people that we link up with when we are talking about product review.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I haven't but I do want to try. I just haven't found anything about it. I think it would be fun to try reviewing products. I haven't even talked to anyone who has ever done this. Maybe it's not a thing anymore? I don't know... let me know if you find out more about it please!

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

I am hopeful that I can find a nice website where this can be done. I think that it is one of the ways that we can get to have a lot of fun reviewing products as well.

When I was in high school, I used to write reviews for sites like Epinions and Reviewstream. I don't think Epinions is around anymore, but Reviewstream still is, I think. The idea behind the site is that you write a review over a product you have experience with, and submit it. If the site is willing to buy your review, they'll give you a price for it and that's that. Really pretty simple!

I made a couple dollars while in school by writing reviews of music albums that I listened to.

I haven't written a paid review I only drop a comment on the product's site as I deem fit. I know it can really be helpful to other users if I'm.able to give my honest and candid words about a product. So I might not even like the idea.

Seriously, looking at this matter closely, when someone is paid to give a review, it's not objective because the recipient of the pay for the review is already paid to give his opinion with the interest of the seller at heart.

Such reviews will be over 80% based on lies.

I haven’t and I don’t know how I’d feel if I did to be honest. I always think those “paid reviews” have an element of bias to them, like you’re being paid off to essentially give a glowing review.

I prefer reading reviews feom people who weren’t paid for their thoughts.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Martinsx1
Exactly! When people give reviews for making money reasons, there will be a very high level of giving a biased opinion on the products.

Paid reviews aren't the best reviews in my opinion.

Well, at the moment I haven't tried such jobs yet but if I'm going to be giving it a try, I would like to do such products reviews for Amazon because I'm not sure if there is any online store in the world today that can pay better than the company.

I have reviewed a few products, but I always make sure to test them out well beforehand. I know that there are some people out there that do not care if their product is tested or not, as long as they have a good review. I will write a good review only if I feel that the product deserves it.

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

iambeth
That's good that you get to try the product first before you write a review about it. Some just write positive comments about products they have not even tested before.

I was on a site where on would review a product and earn points which would later be redeemed for cash. Though I wrote a few reviews on the site (you could only write a review if you'd used a product) I never cashed out because I didn't earn enough points. Elsewhere on some site, someone who sells umbrellas on Amazon offered me two umbrellas for a review. Though I didn't get paid, I got the umbrellas which can qualify as some sort of payment.

There are plenty of people who could pay you for reviews but you'll need to find them on shopping forums where they'll be promoting what they sell.

Not too long ago, I signed up for a book review website. I'm working on my first review, but this won't be paid for in cash. It's sort of a test and I will only start getting paid when I pass. I should add that getting a free copy of the book is some sort of payment as well. Other than that, I have not been involved in any paid review ventures.

No I have never gotten paid. But I know there are people who do. They receive the product, use it, and review it. It's just not my thing. I actually did receive products one time from a person who saw my foodie website. They wanted me to try their product. They did not ask me for a review but the food seasonings I just had to tell other people. LOL.

I think the best way to get paid for writing product revieW's is to find a direct client who is willing to pay you to do this. I have been paid to do this quite a few times. I found my clients through the local newspaper. I see what people are saying about writing a product review from products you have not used. But this is the way the world is people use all sorts of ways to get sales and you can't blame them for it.

I've been paid for reviews on products I've never tried. It was for a blog which features top 5 brands for different products. I did the top 5 for air fryers and grill products. The work was tough and time-consuming because I had to watch YouTube videos and read several blogs to come up with a credible review of the products I haven't used. When the editor offered a premium assignment for other products, I had to decline.

Yes, I have tried reviewing a product and getting paid for it though not a physical product. I review websites, I record my reactions as I go through the website and click on links, etc. It pays well but it would not be a regular thing, as there are only limited sites and you'll have to wait for one to be assigned to you.

I haven't tried this kind of job. Are there sites for this? What can you recommend? I would love to try reviewing something while getting paid.

I have a small Youtube channel where I do reviews on various modern gadgets from China. Recently, due to my growth on the channel, I was often offered to do reviews for money. I don't like to advertise a bad product to my subscribers, so I always carefully select and check the products that are sent to me for advertising. I don't see anything wrong with advertising a good product, given that my audience is growing after online promotion with the help of a marketing agency that helped me get out. It's cool that a large number of people learn about a gadget or device that can improve their quality of life.
