How Do You Celebrate New Year?

New Year is fast approaching. It is the holiday that most countries celebrate. Are you excited to welcome the 2019? Are you positive that New Year will give you new sets of blessings? On the other hand, Since we all have different cultures and tradition in Celebrating New Year, can you share with us how do you celebrate New Year?

Most of us celebrate with their families and friends to welcome new yeat but me, I work in an industry that also works on holidays and I usually celebrate new year or christmas at work. I even welcome new years inside my workplace together with my colleagues but this time, I had an opportunity to take a leave this coming new year and as what we've planned this coming new year is to catch up with my family and light up some fireworks as it is what they usually do when new year and after the countdown and light those fireworks, we will have our feast together and plan our new years resolution.

In our part of country we used to celebrate new year with our neighbours. On New year eve we all gather in streets and start newyear count down and fire crakers. Usually new year eve won't finish without cutting cake and distributing it to all our friends and neighbours.

I spend it with my whole family at our ancestral house. We would prepare the food around 6 in the evening, once done we would pray together. Then we would start munching on barbeques and some pastries as we wait for the countdown. Best part ofcourse is to watch the fireworks as it lit the sky. When I was a kid there is this superstitious belief, I was told to always jump every new years eve so I would grow tall which I still do.
