What if you just decided not to celebrate your birthday?

I'm not really into big birthday celebrations and as the years roll on dread having my birthday come around. To me, it's a reminder of getting older. Also, I'm usually busy and taking time for a birthday party seems a waste not to mention childish. It's like saying, "Hey! Look at me!". And, I'm really not into that. Maybe I will just skip a birthday celebration this year.

Most grown ups don't make a really big deal at birthdays. More than anything, birthday parties are for children. Though you might appreciate a birthday gift.

I disagree that parties are for children. I know plenty of adults that have birthday parties. It just depends on where you are from and how you grew up.

I think people get used to not interested in birthday. And that part gets ignored and you get ignored eventually. If you are used to being ignored then it may not be a problem. But otherwise it may cause more issues. As you can see that celebrating birthday part makes you social. So one has to consider how that works out for each one of you. That's the things you have to understand there as well.

I'm not used to celebrating birthdays. It sounded weird but all I always do is to just write some birthday posts on social media and go about my normal activities. That's just how I see life.

Personally, I'm wired that way, I think that I have only celebrated my birthday just once in my life. Mostly what I do on that day, is pray, go to church and later hang out with some of my close friends.

Birthday celebration is for all ages and we must remember that this is done once a year only of our life. It is better to prepare some foods to eat to feel your special day a memorable one. However there are people says that it will only cost you a money which is actually true. Well it depends on a person in what way he or she will celebrate the day. Me, everytime my birthdate arrives in a year sometimes no preparations and sometimes my mother cooks for me and it doesn't matter to me if no special celebration whats important is i'm still with them alive and safe. Thats the biggest gift of god to us having a great, wonderful and long live life.

Yup I've been there. I didn't celebrate my 18th birthday or rather my debut. It's not that really important to me. My grandparents kept on insisting for me to celebrate and give a chance even if just a little celebration but I don't really like attention, like what you said too. I'm not really good at compliments. Well its just a number I could always celebrate my debut everyday if I want to. It all depends on how you look to things really.

If I were to decide if I'm not going to celebrate my birthday, then probably I'll just eat whatever I want and then do the daily basis I do, like being on a computer for a day or even watching all my favorite movies alone. Like if I'm not in the mood celebrating my own birthday, then this probably the perfect thing to do for a day, definitely for me.

I do not celebrate my birthday, as well as you this day remembers that I am getting old. I already have 40 years old, and every birthday gets me to an age that I do not like. This remembers me that soon I will be an old guy that no one needs any more!
