Can we sell websites or domains?

I'm just wondering if it is possible to sell my sites or domains on this website? That would be really great. However I would understand if this is currently not possible to do on this website. Thank you for reading my question although I find it highly annoying I have to write this crap to get to the min char count for this question.

I understand your frustration Can we sell websites or domains?
To my knowledge, we are unable to sell websites on either site... However you may be able to on codeclerks, as they deal with more software, and website types of listings.

Have a great day!

Codeclerks? Is this a sister site of SEOclerk and Listing Dock? I have heard about Codeclerks however I have or checked this site yet. I also have domains and websites to sell, I have tried flippa and sedo, however, non of these domain and website market place worked for me. I want to try another platform. I will check codeclerk and see if the site allows domains and website to be listed for sale. I hear there is a lot of money to be made by domain and website flipping and I want to try my hands.

It's possible to sell the websites as "Micro niche service" in the listing dock or the codeclerks. Here you can sell complete website. And that should be more than enough for you to get proper domains and other settings handled. I suggest making use fo the escrow options. You can sign up for freemakret or the flippa. Those are more process oriented places where you can properly make the transfer of the users website. And the money is also released in the due process.

Recently, I heard that we can sell website through want to trade section. I have am yet to check out this option. I have tried domain and website marketplace like flippa. However, it is very difficult to sell your domains or websites with flippa. The listing price is very high. I paid $9 for listing my domain. If I am already paying $9 for listing, I will have to price the domain higher. If you have a higher price, it is less likely to be sold.

Yes flippa has a nice listing price. But then again the buyers over there are paying high amount. Amount high enough like say 20,000$ USD and more. So that type of the amount surely deserves to have some paid listing. Same as the real estate listing. So yes, unless site has that much high value it's not much worth it.

I am also thinking to use flippa to flip my website. The basic listing price is $29 and the premium listing, with featured service, is $99. If I can sell my site just for $500, the listing price of $99 is not much, however, if my site does not sell, $99 will be a huge burden. I have checked the listing of new sites as well as established sites, based on what I have seen I have a feeling that I can sell my website.

I suggest holding website for as much as it values 2000$. Because if you plan for selling 500$ then the value may go low as of now. So it'd be better when the site and domain value is higher. Then you can think of selling. That way things can be changed as well. That's what I have learned in due time. I don't think selling websites would be that easy.

Selling a website is not easy, I have learned this lesson. I have tried to sell a couple of websites for the last six months and I don't have any customers yet. I understand the value of my website will be more when I hold my websites for few years. However, renewing the domain and hosting cost a lot of money. That's why I have decided to sell for a low cost. I never wanted to create a website just for the purpose of selling. I registered domains just for the sake for flipping. Then someone told me, websites will make you more money. That's how I began to build websites for the purpose of flipping.

Indeed it is not easy. The buyers want to buy the site that is making money. If your website is not making money for you then that means it may not make money for them either. So that's something they want to avoid buying. So this can be changed if you can manage to sell after creating some value.

In my observation, people buy website not just because it is already making money, they buy when they see a potential to make money from the website. If you have a good domain, good contents, you may find buyers. If you are already making money, that is an advantage.

No. Potential and reality is sort of different. If there is only potential but no real money is seen. There is very slim chance of being bought. Seen lot of flippa purchase gone wrong. I can tell you confidently on that.

You might be right. However, I have seen people buying websites with no revenue. I hear that empire flippers is a good market place for website flipping? have you tried empire flippers? How do you determine the price for the website you want to flip? Do you use any online tools to check the value of your website?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes. Empire flippers are the one who say they want to see your revenue before buying it. Flipppa has some of the domain buyers that may buy some of the websites with low revenue. But otherwise the amount of the revenue is what is going to make the money.

So, the main point of website flipping is how much revenue the website is generating. Only the websites that generating revenue are successfully flipped and the selling price depends on the amount the website is generating.
However, my question is how do they determine how much the website is earning?

Are you sure you want to delete this post?

Yes. They determine this by checking google analytics for traffic. And also checking the revenue claims. For example, your website is earning 10$ a day they want proof for that. Empire flippers buys website of such type by verifying the claims. Having potential does not mean it'd be selling.

When I needed to sell my recipe blog,I came to realize that it isn't easy to sell one's blog especially if it wasn't a popular one and the traffic to the site wasn't above average. But if you had an outstanding then selling it wouldn't be much of a problem. So you pay to list it in the biggest marketplace Flippa.com or list here on Listingdock.

I have also learned about codeclerks from the responses here. I also want to sell my website. I tried flippa but I was told that websites with free hosting cannot be listed on their market place.

Domain flipping is indeed a very cynical situation. For instance, I even had a fairly decent sounding .com but was only given 40 USD for it. Not whining, but I think it was worth more and probably the buyer is selling it for more. Anyway, if you got something less than a .com or some one word .club, .net, or some catchy domain hack like HotBeach.Club, then I don't think people would even pay a dollar.
