Have you grown your own vegetable garden?

During the spring time, I have patio tomato plants that give me lots of salad fixings. I like having tomato plants as they are very easy to care for and fit my limited space. Are you planning a vegetable garden for this year?

I tried growing tomatoes once but it didn't turn out so well. Though my mother always had marigolds growing in the front yard and sometimes a garden in the back. It was a nice thing to grow up with.

I am not much for taking care of plants. They seem to die on me too fast.

I have some herb plants in pots on the window sill. And, I use the herbs in my cooking. I think this is a good way to be very natural, by planting a few herbs or vegetables.

I haven't planted in years. I hope to someday, as there's nothing like eating fresh vegetable straight from the garden. The crisp snaps of green and yellow beans, peas, and eating fresh tomatoes straight from the vine. Love it.

Have you considered building a raised plant bed? It would not rely on your natural soil and would fit in any smaller space. This could be the ideal solution for veggies or flowers.

Here's a useful article on How to Grow More Vegetables Using Raised Plant Beds

I used to grow vegetables such as lettuces and lady fingers. Nowadays, I rarely do so as I am too busy to do so. I might consider doing it again if I have the time since eating my own produce from the garden is pretty healthy as we do not spray any chemicals onto it.

Yes, I have a small garden patch in my backyard. I love planting root vegetables such as spinach, water spinach, chives and ginger which are easily grown with minimal attention. Luckily our country has constant rain, providing enough water for my plants. I enjoy consuming my vegetables that I had grown, no pesticides , no hormone growth

I love gardening and the benefit that comes with it but unfortunately I don't have the space. When I got my own place in the nearest future I would practice gardening.

I used to have a small kitchen garden with all sorts of herbs like rosemary, sage and some vegetables like carrots and lettuce and some coriander. This stopped when I moved houses and my new place did not have space to make a new kitchen garden

We have a garden at the back of our house where we grow vegetables such as pumpkin, waterleaf and the rest and I must confess that it has helped us save the money and time of having to go to the market now and then to buy vegetables that we use in our cooking. We plant corn in our garden during the rainy season and it is a good way to live life.

I live on a farm, I have plenty of areas to grow different varieties of vegetables. My vegetable produce contributes about 90 percent of my vegetable consumption. Even when I was living in the city, I used to grow vegetables in the backyard. We had a strip of land, 1.5 meters wide and 10 meters long back of our house. We grew creepers like bottle guard, snake guard, beans. We also grew coriander and garlic and onion.

Yes I have a garden and I grow both fruits and vegetables. Some of the vegetables that I have grown are cabbages, carrots, green beans, eggplants, okra, tomatoes and some herbs. The good thing about having your garden is that you can save up some money as you won't have to buy that much vegetables. I also grow fruits like mangoes, mandarin oranges and guava. I love gardening.

I do have a small patch of land that I converted into a garden. I grow mostly root crops, herbs on small plant boxes, chili, bitter gourd and papaya. It's just great having a mini veggie garden, I get to grow my own herbs.
