Have you ever created homemade gifts for birthday/Christmas?

I love creating homemade gifts for holidays. These gifts are usually hand crafted. My favorite items to create are decoupage or crochet items. These things take so much time to complete and are a relaxing way to spend the evening while watching TV and spending time with the family. When the gift occasion comes around, I can give the item away to a special person. And, it's always so well received. Recently, I made a video for a friend of mine. And, he really loved it. The video was about a big accomplishment in his life. So it meant a lot to him.

This could be a fun family activity and nice way to save money, so long as you are good with handicrafts and homemade items.

What I have done for Christmas was making recipe/ingredient bottles (putting in all dry ingredients, including the recipe). I have also given homemade pillows with knitted covers, knitted dishcloths, hats, throws, etc.

It can be very time consuming, but a lot of fun at the same time.

Some years back, I gave one of my crochet items to a really good family friend, an elderly man who was very close to us when I was growing up. And, he adored the item so much and held it in his hands and practically glowed as he said, he could tell it was made with love. I could see how much happiness the gift brought him so it made it worth all the time invested to make it.

Yes I did and the outcome was great. I made a lantern and hung it outside and they thought it was beautiful. One of the greatest experience in my life that everybody appreciated.

I do have a hand craft that I'm good at which is bead making, and I make it a habit of making a different design for my family and loved ones during Christmas celebrations specifically and they all love and look forward to getting a new one every Christmas period.

This christmas some of the good gifts for the christmas. And it seems like a good option for the gift. I guess we have to understand that it can be good enough to give the gift to the people around. I guess depends on how you are seeing it. I find it fun to consider the homemade gifts on that basis. I am sure everyone who is into the DIY need to learn that as well.
