    Do it Yourself Garden Shed

    Next summer I'm planning to totally revamp my yard, this includes cleaning all the crap that I currently have no use for and planting fresh grass, cutting some trees and develop a perfect garden.

    Do it Yourself Garden Shed
    The only thing that would be missing its a new garden shed for all my tools and everything else I don't want lying around.

    How should I approach this? I want some outside activity so I'm planning to build it myself.
    I have the following options:

    • Build it from wood by buying a shed kit and assemble everything myself
    • Build it from wood by having just a paper project and buying the raw materials myself, this will require a lot of work compared with buying the kit because I will have to manufacture every piece myself.
    • Build it from plastic by buying a shed kit, assembly everything myself
    • Build it from metal sheets by buying a shed kit and assemble everything myself

    I not really sold on either of the above options. I'm inclined to choose the metal kit thingy with a wood look alike just because it can be totally assembled by two men in less than 6 hours. It's also the cheapest option with the best lifetime expectancy from my point of view.

    Anyone around with some DIY shed experience?

    I do not have any personal experience building a shed or garage but i do have 2 garages and a shed and i have also been looking for new buildings to add on. I found that the DIY kits and Home depot are not the cheapest solutions. Companies on Facebook are charging as low as 95 for a shed built and installed. One car garages starting at 595 delivered and installed. Car ports as low as 295 delivered and installed. My advice is look to local contractors or companies that specialize in this thing everyone is hungry to make a buck and you will be surprised that some of these mom and pops and beat home depots price and install it for you. I don't know where you are located but if your in the USA i can give you a few names and companies near you that can do this for you CHEAP. Let me know and thanks for sharing!

    What a cool project, this kind of thing is what would make me happy. I love DIY projects and when I was at school I didn't opt for the girl things I took subjects like Technica and Technical Drawing. I loved it even if a lot of the time I was the only girl.

    I was always getting into my dads tool cupboards when I was a girl. Lucky for me he is a geotechnical engineer so that helped me along my DIY path for sure.

    I am not knowledgeable enough to build a shed myself from scratch but I love the idea of a wooden shed so maybe the wooden shed kit would be a great way to go!

    This is a very good looking project, that should you be successful in actually achieving it would be very nice and comforting in realizing ones set out goals and objectives.

    It would be very nice to plan such project and have the funds to finance it. The little money being paid to someone wouldn't be enough to embark in such project. So therefore, once must be eagerly ready to be employ any means necessary to have a nice back yard as such.

    I think it depends on weather around you. If the weather is harsh then metal sheets sounds reasonable. You can make sure that those metal sheets are good for the climate nearby. And it can be fun to see how that adds up more security too. I think on that basis I'd choose metal sheets. And also it can be used to keep some pets in there too. For them that would be security as well.

    In case of the woods and the country region, the wooden shed makes sense. Because it has less security issues. And you would have less problem from poachers like in city region.

    I take care of my garden by myself. I am very in love with it. Since I was a child I wanted to have a big house and a big garden with a pool where every member of my family could rest and enjoy the nature. The atmosphere there is great. I managed to work hard and to achieve all these goals. I love the smell of the fresh grass there. Every evening of the summer I moan the loan or I just do some cleaning there. my moaning machine was bought from https://lawn.com.au/ and I am happy that in 4 years, it still works great.
