How to make a home made firepit.

Here we go today im going to teach you how to make a fire pit. You can easily buy a fire pit from a hardware store or from Walmart. The reason i didn't is because it was cheaper for me to just make my own. I am so far away from civilization that i would have to order one our Walmart does not carry them. So buying one was not an option for me also for this reason.

Ok now go to your local hardware store and buy cinder blocks they where $2.88 for me each. Make sure you measure out the space you want to use and the cinder blocks to see how many you need. When making your own pit price will vary depending on size. Once you have your cinder blocks all you need to do is make a square with the blocks and then do the same thing again stacking more on top of your first square. This will give you a square fire pit stacked 2 cinder blocks high. That is it guys it's that simple i love my fire pit and these last about two years before you have to start replacing blocks. I hope you enjoyed reading as always Thank You.

Hi Jkeyz2 oh yes a home made fire pit is awesome!

I love having a good braai (barbecue) and why pay a fortune for something that you can just make yourself? Plus the fact it is home made is to much more rustic and fun anyway!

I hope you enjoy your fire pit How to make a home made firepit.

We love it actually. Me and my wife sit by it all the time. I have a great idea of filling the cinder blocks with cement so that they are stronger and they don't move. The one thing i find with this type of fire pit is that the blocks expand and compress and is causes them to shrink and not stack rite. It is really a simple fix and for a few bucks more you could have a fully cement fire pit that should not move as much. Just make sure to leave one wall un cemented so that you can remove them for cleaning. Lynne you should make one too!

Yes when we buy our own place I will certainly look at that! We love having a fire outside in summer and we have an inside fireplace too for winter which is also great. A fire just adds that extra warmth, yes in a physical sense of course but I mean the ambience... it is just so amazing to sit and stare at flames!

Its already up Mike and it made its debut on the book and Snap chat a few weeks ago. I love it and i would not buy one to replace it i will always make my own pits. We never had a pit growing up or a fireplace so to be able to give my kids another thing we didn't have is an accomplishment for me. My kids love it and my digs enjoy it, we plan on putting a tarp on it so when the snow falls we can remove the tarp and get the fire going. Here are some pictures below of my pit if you have any questions just let me know. Thanks for reading and taking the time to respond.

I agree to you when you say it is better if we do it by ourselves than buying in the market. It is cheaper than those firepit in the market. I love making different kind of crafts. If I need something, I look for some DIY ideas in the internet and make it as my own. Maybe the other ideas are hard but I am willing to do it because I love to. Like the other home crafts, I will try to do it.

In as much as I might not do this,I might like to pass on this but I like the fact that we can do a lot of craft and stuff without needing to spend so much from buying them in the stores. The Do-it-yourself tips have been of great help to everyone that has access to the internet and the firepit DIY idea would be of good to those that would really need this idea.

Thank you very much man, I did the same and I really liked it. It is also safer than just digging a hole and easier to fry meat on a grid. I also love to travel but my small camper are already quite old and my friends advised me to choose one of these https://www.crowsurvival.com/small-campers/ and I noticed the eriba touring trailer. I read his description and it suits me, my wife also does not mind, we usually travel together with her. If you have any tips on choosing a trailer, I will be waiting for them from you.
