Are you satisfied with your name? - If you could change it, would you do it?

My name is André Strand and I'm from Sweden. My initials are AS. And in Sweden, that would be short for something like "son of a bitch".

Just imagine to write "AS" on your books and stuff in School. However, I never got bullied or anything like that at all, so it wasn't a problem for me.

My girlfriend's initials are "KP". That stands for "Fuck buddy" in Sweden.. But she never got bullied either.

That being said, I'm proud of my name. I like my name and I've always been satisfied with it.

How about you? - Have you ever have thoughts of changing your name, and what would you change it to, in case you changed?

It's totally okay to be anonymous so you don't have to tell me or anyone else your real name in case you don't want to. Are you satisfied with your name? - If you could change it, would you do it?

My name is Charles and boy do i hate my name sometimes. People automatically assume they can call me chuck or Chazz. Growing up i was called Charles in charge, Charlie, and many other names that i didn't like. I was my dads only son and he wanted me to be named after him so im a junior. Being a junior has caused so many problems for me growing up and now as an adult. So many people confuse me for my dad, i get calls of people trying to collect debt from me and its my dad they are looking for. Ebay one time has to do an identity check and they ask questions like do any of these addresses sound familiar. Who is your mother? Normally this would be easy and fine but not for me the answers they look for are for my dads identity not mines. I wish i could change my name to John Keyz. I could go down and do it legally but i don't want to make my dad feel bad poor guy is getting old. Another great topic thanks for sharing!

Hello everyone my name is Esteban, and I am currently working as a private employee. Honestly I really don't like my name because it sounds bad for me. It is like a name of an old person but I am just very young up to this moment. Many people are saying bad things on my name since it is not very common to our place to have such unique name but I have no choice but to accept it. If I will be given a chance I would to have a name which is George Michael since it sounds good and very great name for me. I feel more convenient and comfortable about it unlike the other one.

LOL I am not worried about my name. My maiden name is Lynne Fairbrother. A lot of people make silly jokes about it, like we are 3 sisters so people all said "Fairsister" or fair sisters.

My father started a business with his dad when he was young and his brother also joined. Today it is a very successful and well known business that has a wonderful reputation. So my maiden surname is associated with great things and respect here. I like that.

I got married and my name is now Lynne Huysamen. I like it too. I respect my husband and he is Afrikaans and things are usually done quite traditionally with Afrikaans families. Both my sisters kept their names when they got married but I wanted to take my husband's name to stick with tradition and to show my love Are you satisfied with your name? - If you could change it, would you do it? I also wanted our children and both of us to have the same name, so it worked out nicely.

My name is Nicola and I have never liked my name. I much prefer my middle name which is Samantha compared to my first name. When I turned 13 I remember telling my parents, family and friends that I no longer wanted to be called Nicola and that I would much rather be called Nikki, they all listened and to this day I still only get called Nikki. It's very rare I get called Nicola now and when I do it's usually done to wind me up by say my brother or friends who know I do not like being called that. It does annoy me when they do that but I just kind of laugh it off now and move on.

My is Angelo and probably I'm satisfied with it, because my parents gave it to me so why not?. My name is really not that bad like it symbolize peace and heaven and whenever someone says my name they always told me that I'm a good person, I'm like "really?". I remember my mom told me that the first name they gave me is Iann but then they change it and named it to my cousin and I don't know why.

I like my name very much and even if I get bullied by my name, initial, or my nickname, I'm still proud of it. Because it is the name given by my parents. And they think that it is the perfect name for me. Is it for me to make that name famous somehow in good deeds.

I'm not satisfied my name, to be honest. If I have given a chance to change it then I would definitely love to change it. My name is so common that I have known a lot of people having the same name as I do that even our family name is the same. And the worst this is that I always get hit whenever I renew my NBI Clearance.

To be honest, I don't really like my name and I have previously considered changing my name but my parents refused as this name was given to me by my late grandfather. I have got a long name and I am embarrassed to even share it on here. It is annoying when I have to fill out forms or other documents as I have to write my full name on them. How I wished I could have changed my name.

I used to hate my name when I was a child, especially my Surname ( it's Stan, from Stan&Bran comics), it was made fun of a lot in elementary school. But now I am fine with it, it got my out of a lot of troubles during highschool and college, because it starts with S and I always got away from the evaluation and get a chance to prepare better for the next time. I really couldn't wait to have 18 and be able to change my name but as soon as I reached this age, the idea of changing it just vanished and now I don't have any desire of changing my name, I am satisfied with it just the way it is.
