Coconut Vanilla Home made Shaving Cream

Here is another one for you guys! Homemade shaving cream, made with vanilla extract so it leaves you with a nice warm smell and the coconut oil to help leave your skin baby soft!

What you will need:
1. 1 cup of coconut oil
2. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

What you need to do:
1. In a large mixing bowl, whip the coconut oil on high for 5 minutes. Add the vanilla extract and whip until it is combined well! Make sure you store this in an air tight container. Put this on before you start and shave as normal!

Really easy to make and probably safer than what they sell in the store!! Thank you for reading! Enjoy!!

I'm sure I could try this out for myself too, so not just for the guys right?

My hubby uses an electric shaver and I have never seen him shave in the traditional way. More's the pity because I just love that after shaving smell that the shaving creams leave. I am sure that this one will also smell divine.

I remember my dad shaving when I was a kid and I was always fascinated and now for some reason I find it very attractive when a man shaves... maybe I should tell my husband this LOL

Now this is something that is interesting to me. Vanilla extract has alcohol in it so this makes total sense. I wonder what long term effects this has on the blades though. I use an electric shaver and i wonder if it will mess with the blade or damage the machine. If Mike tries this i would like to know the outcome. I have really rough skin and i dry shave alot due to laziness. Also the fact that i have no clue what is in these shaving products or after shave.

yea, i wouldn't try shaving cream with an electric razor. aren't you supposed to just like dry shave or splash some warm water on your face and use the electric shaver??? i had no idea vanilla extract had alcohol in it? weird. i thought the vanilla was just for a nice smell! HAHA

I love your DIY recipes. One of my favorite oils is coconut oil. I like the smell and how it makes your skin very soft. Vanilla also has an amazing sent. The two combined should smell like dynamite. My concern would be would this be able to shave? I can't see any agent like sugar or honey that would act like a shaving agent and cause this mixture to act like a shaving cream.
