A Memory Rock Garden
This year I want to honor those that have passed on in my life with a memory garden. Both of my parents have passed on, as well as my mother in law, my step son, and two beloved fur babies. I think that it would be neat to make a rock garden and have things in the garden to remember them by. Has anyone ever done this? If so what are some good ideas to put in this? I was thinking since my mom loved angels to incorporate an angel statue in the garden. And then find things that others loved to put in as well. Just wanting some neat ideas as well that would make this area fully functional yet beautiful as well.

Placing something in a rock garden that reminds you of them is a nice way to start, maybe their favourite flowers, statues of things they liked, even photo's if you are able to protect them well enough. Maybe having a sitting area around the memory rock garden as well would be nice for the warmer months so you could sit out there during the nice days.
I have seen some rock gardens when I traveled through Japan, but I never thought about creating myself until now. One garden I saw there, in Kamakura, actually represented the mainland and surrounding islands of Japan and was explained to me by my guide. I thought this was such a cool concept and a great way to envision one's country or world. Using this concept to honor loved ones and friends who have passed is a beautiful idea, I think.
I recently lost an uncle from my maternal home. He was the only son. He was killed by a heart attack. He was just buried two nights ago.
She had nice flowers, some statues of her loved ones, picture frames of them and some plants. You could just do it the way you love.Sorry for your losses.
