I will be honest and say that I don't really follow any kind of diet when I go to the gym, I just use basic healthy eating both before and after I eat to help me lose weight and stay healthy. Many people I know sometimes even go to the gym and eat a full on meal after they have been to the gym. I find that to be bad if I am honest because any calories you have burned working out you are putting back on by eating such a huge meal. It's always better to eat less and healthy before the gym and then eat healthy after the gym I feel. otherwise you are really not doing yourself any favours and the trip to the gym was really a waste of time.

Greek YoghurtPacking in twice as much protein as regular yoghurt (petis filous is delicious, but it doesn't count we're afraid), Greek Yoghurt is a nutritional wonder that's full of the aforementioned protein, along with zinc, potassium vitamin B12 (good for the nerves and blood cells) and vitamin B6 (good for your brain and moods). Oh, and it's also lower in lactose than regular dairy and comes with natural bacteria that sorts out your immune system.Chuck some blueberries on top and your daily pre-gym breakfast is sorted.

I don't eat before a workout most of the time. If I do it's usually something small like a few cheese nips. I usually stick with water when I'm at the gym. I eat afterwards though as I've worked up an appetite. Normally I have a salad or a subway sub afterwards. So as not to ruin all the hard work I did.

I don't eat much while in the gym,the highest I go with could be one apple, one can of energy drink and a bottled water.I think we shouldn't even eat much while exercising because the whole idea would be defeated.

Well,my exercise I can settle for tea and wholesome bread.it could be green tea or normal beverages and I'm okay for the morning.

For protein I recommend chicken salad (preferably grilled chicken, it is delicious!), greek yoghurt (and you can add many things to it, like fruits, honey, cereal, it is very healthy in general and the texture is interesting) or a protein bar you can buy in supermarkets but I have had some bars that tasted good and some that were absolutely inedible so be careful with that.

For pre-workout, Bananas It is loaded with digestible carbohydrates and are packed with potassium, which aids in maintaining nerve and muscle function. The body doesn’t store potassium for very long, so a medium banana before a workout will help keep nutrient levels high. Oats It is full of fiber, which means they gradually release carbohydrates into your bloodstream, Burke points out. Wholegrain bread a slice of it a good source of carbohydrates.
For post workout, If you want some protein fast, you can't go wrong with a simple, straightforward "Protein Shake". Whether you opt for whey protein or vegetarian/vegan powder, you can combine the big boost of protein with any number of add-ins, like fruit, peanut butter, and the milk of your choice. Eggs Serve 'em up any way you like—scrambled, over easy, poached, sunny side up, or even just hard-boiled. Eggs are packed with protein and nutrients.

I really don't eat before working out and after the work is done I eat healthy and light meals. I do not follow a routine meal, I just eat what is right because I feel eating something heavy means adding the extra weight back on. Simple healthy meals is a sure way to go.

True. I would feel satisfied while working out. Sometimes I would only drink water and eat bananas after working out. I'll let the time pass by then have a proper meal.

Usually I don't eat a lot before exercise, maybe a protein shake with fruits (banana, apple, pineapple), and what I do is to drink water before, meanwhile, and after exercise. When I go out I would drink something like Gatorade, or any drink with electrolytes, and after a while I will get a proper meal. But for sure, all I want to get after gym is something refreshing, not hot heavy drinks or meals but maybe something light.

Thanks for the tip and information. Currently I am going to the gym to cut weight and before I go there I make sure that I have not eaten yet. I just drink 2 glasses of water after waking up and then straight to the gym. After my gym session, I eat rice topped with vegetables. This is what I am doing these past few weeks and it worked out for me.

Thanks for the heads up on what to consume and what not to consume in the course of working out. This is really a good piece of information as it would help lots of people on the course of exercising.

Although I practically don't eat anything before going to the gym. I actually see it as impediment to my exercise. Eating before hitting up the gym makes me too full and tired to actually do anything. It makes me get tired easily, so as a result of that I don't eat at all rather I would simply take water or energy drink at the course of exercise.

As far as I can remember during my working days in a gym, I observed that gym goers usually drink a protein shake before they do their workout. They told me that the reason behind this is they get more energy and more time working out. And as for after, I am not sure what they usually eat but they bring with them a wheat bread coupled with tuna spread.

Going on the gym without eating can cause you fatigue and light-headed feeling so before I go to the gym I eat foods with a lot of protein like eggs, banana, oats and other foods with high protein. I eat those food in order for my body to have energy and immunity to any pains would feel. While the foods I eat after going to the gym are rice, chicken, beef and other foods with iron and protein so that I can get my energy back. I also drink protein drinks before, during and after my work out since it have proteins I need and solution for my dehydration.

I go for more meat and high protein snacks two to three hours before working out then a cavendish banana and my favorite protein shake after. I tried to maintain a diet of meals with small amount but many times a day to keep my body working all day and get the shape I really want. Together with a well rested body and deep sleep, I can manage to get more better and more strength every day.

I would recommend meals which is high in fiber. Fruits and vegetables are good, of course. Lean meat for protein, I heard almond nuts are good source too, and avoid fatty foods as much as possible. One more important is, do not eat too much food that you cannot work out. ;)

For you drinks I will recommend lemon juice. More fruits and vegetables are good for healthy diet. Try to avoid fatty foods such as fastfoods. Then workout consistently.

when I was losing weight, I made sure to eat a variety of food and drinks without putting any restrictions, all that mattered is not to eat the same thing every day, even high caloric food could be beneficial, as long us you're working out regularly.

I go to the gym to lose weight. But before going, I pack my tummy with some light stuff life rolled oats with fruits. Usually whatever fruit is in season. But if there's melon, I'd prefer that. Then i eat my banana, a spoonful of peanut butter and drink at least three glasses of water. This is my before snack. My after snack would most probably be my dinner as I usually go to the gym around after work. And I would eat a half serving of dinner like a palm size chicken breast and some vegetables on the side. No more source of carbs for me at this time.

Well, pre-work out I found out bananas to be the best food. They provide you with energy without making you feel tired. Most work out it's important to eat a good combination of carbohydrates and proteins so chicken and whole wheat bread is a good choice. Pasta works out well too

I would say different strokes for different folks. I don't eat carbs as I'm on a low carb diet. Before I work out, I have a cup of coffee or a caffeine tablet. This gives me energy and stamina for my workout.

After my workout, I have a protein shake, or two eggs or a piece of chicken. I also have two glasses of water so that I don't feel thirsty, which often makes you feel like you're hungry.

I've also ordered amino acids online. This gives you stamina during your workout and ensures your muscles recover well after the workout.

It honestly depends on how much time I have before and after the gym. Typically if I'm in a real hurry, I just do what is quickest for me. More often than not, this would simply mean I'll make myself a protein shake and have one or two scoops of peanut butter straight out of the jar. This would be both before and after a workout. Not the way I usually want to do things, but sometimes I have no choice.

If I have more time available, I typically like to have a bowl of oatmeal, two hard boiled eggs, and Greek yogurt before a workout. Afterwards, I'll have some cottage cheese with two pieces of toast smeared with peanut butter and a protein shake.

Before my workout, I will do simple carbs... maybe a whole grain cereal. After my workout, I take a low-carb blended protein shake. During my workout, lots of water.

I don't eat much before workout. I time my workout about an hour after a light meal and eat a lot after my workout. I usually eat rice and meat dishes afterwards with some soup, to replenish the energies I burned during my workout.

I also don't eat much before a workout because it's hard for me to work out with a full stomach. Moreover, I know it's unhealthy, so you should eat a light lunch before the workout if you're hungry. I wonder if you are taking any supplements to improve your results? If we talk about me, I take vitamins that I order from Iherb, as well as protein and a small dose of steroids on the recommendation of my nutritionist. I used to think that only athletes take steroids, but then I read this article steroidcycle.org and learned more about them. And so, I want to become the owner of beautiful shape, so I do everything to make it happen.

It depends. Everyone has their own preferences. Personally, I love to have a pre-drink before the gym. Something that will give me energy and will boost my motivation. During the training session, I just drink water simple water, and I think that during training, this is the perfect option if you want to hydrate. But I know that some people love taking anabolic steroids. Something like the guys from https://rats.army/ sell. What about food. I prefer to get a light snack before the gym and a meal rich in proteins after the gym. Hope my message will be helpful for you.
