ANY SUGGESTIONS ON A HEADSET BRAND AND MODEL?

Hi guys! I am currently shopping around for a headset I can use for Skype calls and webinars. Can anyone here suggest a good buy headset? I would love the ones that have noise cancelation feature. I don't have a huge budget though. I am eyeing for below $100. I would appreciate all your suggestions.

I don't use any proper headsets for things like Skype so I'm not sure which ones I would recommend. Skype actually have a list of headsets that work best with Skype and I'm sure they are perfect for your webinars as well. You can find it here: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA34615/what-are-the-best-usb-headsets-and-webcams-to-use-with-skype. You could even try to find a gaming headset which would actually work perfectly for both Skype and your webinars and of course they can be used if you game as well.

I never heard of this that Skype can actually suggested you some kind or brands of a headset because Im always using skype and I dont think that they were up to or looking for some other kind of headsets but if Im going to suggest maybe the original Beats extra bass headset or headphone will be great.

I don't really use any designed headset for Skype but There's a list of about 20 or more headsets you could use for Skype and I'm pretty sure it will work for your webinars too. A good friend of mine once recommended Corsair Vengeance 2100 and Logitech B530 Headset. I hope you find the most compatible one using the link Darthhazard gave you.

Hi.I'm using a very cheap headset for video call purposes since my father works abroad. Logitech is the brand of the headset. I know it is not one of the well known brand, but it has very clear sound registration and features. It is very affordable also, ranging $5 -$10 only.

Beats by dre comes to mind but I think it way beyond your budget,so you go for Sony headsets.
Sony products are quite good, durable and affordable so you can go for the brand.

Yes. If I have any Sony headset ,I would pick it over my Logitech. It is one of the most trusted brand, and my problem is I don't have any Sony headset. I have only Logitech headset, it's a gift from my father and so far it is working good for me. So, I recommend Logitech based on my experience only, since I never tried other brand.

Thanks Augusta. I love Beats by Dre. I tried it 'cause my brother has one but the price of this headset is out of reach! ANY SUGGESTIONS ON A HEADSET BRAND AND MODEL? Do you have any specific suggestion for what model of Sony headset I can get? I heard a lot about Sony but I never tried any of their products so I'm a bit skeptical.

Wow! I've never seen a headset this cheap. I may look it up. Thanks for your reply chelfox18. I know the the brand and I know that there are good Logitech headset too. I looked it up at Amazon though I can't decide what model to buy as they have a vast option of this brand. Do you know what specific model do you have?

I suggest using any Sony headset or earphones. Sony makes quality sound headphones. I own a Sony headphone and its been used for almost 2 years, still its functional and has crystal clear sound.

True. My sister has a Sony headphone and it's really great! I think it has a studio like sound in it. I even use it in watching movies and heck I don't hear any sound beyond the headphone. It's like you and your headphones only. Though I'm also searching for another one for me to try.

This is true, sony has a good quality and you won't regret buying their products though it is a little pricy. I also used sony headset before, and up to now, the sound quality never changed. You can never go wrong on choosing their products because they are one of the most trusted brand eversince. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON A HEADSET BRAND AND MODEL?

Hi Saygorem, thanks for your suggestion. Would you mind if I asked what model of Sony headset do you have? Also, how much is it? Is it still being offered in the market? I want to look it up. Where can I find a good one? I only checked once at Amazon.

You can just look it up in the web, and see theres a lot of cheap sony headsets for every price and top of the crop models. Any kind and model of headphones are just fine. I have used Sony earphones in the past and they have been pretty good. I am actually using Sennheiser earphones at the moment and they are great as well. The only problem is that even though they were quite expensive, they do not have a microphone as it is mainly for music. They would actually be great for webinars if you are just watching and there is no real need to participate by talking.

Sony, BOSE, or Beats are all the current major headphone brands or headset suppliers. There are some other ones out there too but they're usually hit or miss depending on quality of sound and product. I'd go with Sony though. High end producer of that sort of gear. Somewhat expensive though, no matter which model you're purchasing.

If you are looking for something of good quality and durability and can also shell out a bit more cash, then I suggest going for the big name brands like sony, beats, senheiser, etc. They are sure to be a bit more pricy but the investment is worth it as the audio they produce is crisp and clear and they also don't break easy with normal use.

I have been working as an online English teacher thru Skype for the past two years and I have always used LogiTech H151. I have not encountered any issues with it for as far as I can remember. The microphone works perfectly fine and the ear cups always feel comfortable to my ears despite multiple hours of continuous usage. I'm not really sure about the price today but it was around $15.00 USD during the time I made the purchase.

I personally use a Blue Yeti USB microphone, coupled with a separate pair of headphones; it offers a bit of versatility, depending on if you're recording by yourself, paired-up with another, or in a group.

It will depend on the device
that you are using. For me, I just use apple headset ( for iphone 4) and it works pretty good on skype. But if you really want to have a good quality headset that will last for a long time, maybe wait a little longer and save more money to invest for a good one. You can go for Sony, it is one of the best when it comes to quality.

I use the Sony S750 wireless headset. It's within your budget and nice to use. The brands that are best for these types of accessories are Sony, Bose. there also a lot cheaper varieties. You just have to determine the manner of usage you do and look for their technical specifications. But I think as a general rule for gadgets and accessories, high priced items are far more better than cheap ones. In the long run, when used properly, the high priced ones and the best buy ones.

I suggest you to buy beats by Dre in any model. They are one of the most well-known brands in the US because of their celebrity endorsements and aggressive marketing. However, as will become clear later on, the most well-known brands are typically not the best, and Beats is no exception. There are several entries in the Beats line, and while none of them are actually bad headphones, they are not worth the price they ask for them. The internal electronics of Beats headphones do not merit the pricing- you pay for the advertising and the endorsements. You won't get a bad set from Beats, but you won't get good value either. They have around 7 million followers in Facebook, 1 million in twitter and 30 thousand in mail. They are one of the highest rated brand.

They are overpriced as hell though. He said that he wants to spend around $100 on the headphones and here, the Beats sell for way over that number. Perhaps it's different from where you are from ANY SUGGESTIONS ON A HEADSET BRAND AND MODEL? anyway, I honestly think that they're more designed for listening to music rather than talking to people over the microphone. Do you have them yourself? If so, how's the microphone quality?

I have a friend and he use that brand given by his aunt. I never asked the price but this really sounds good and gives you the best experience of listening to music as well as talking with its micophone. Up until now he still use that headset and it is so good in quality, I think its 4 years old already and no changes in its performance so far. This will meet your satisfaction in terms of headset usage. This is the best so far compared to others.

I've seen BEATS headphones for as much as $400. They're good looking sets but $400? I dunno. I think if anyone invests in BEATS headphones they really should make sure it's a specific model, controls and color and size they want. You can get Beats headphones wired or unwired, and also with volume controls built into the set itself.

I prefer Sony headset on any other headsets because of it's Bluetooth and the extra bass features. This headset is a beast but a little bit expensive but I think it's worth it. I remember using it because my friend has one and he let me test it on my phone and it actually sounds awesome like a high resolution audio. I will definitely buy this one.

I'd definitely recommend the Logitech headset. I have been using theirs for several years and I'm a very happy customer. They never, ever break for me... the current one that I have which is the Logitech G430, I have been using for over 3+ years and not a single issue. It even has cool features like the surround sound. The microphone is amazing quality and has echo cancellation integrated. I'd highly recommend it.

Hello there! If it would be Skype that would be your main purpose of buying a headset, I strongly recommend Plantronics brand since it is very compatible with Skype and not only that, it has a noise cancelling function that would be a very good thing for your webinars. It is kind of costly though but I do recommend that you invest in things like this. I have been using my Plantronics headset for 4 years now and so far there's no problem at all. Sometimes you can get it at a lower price if you find a direct seller of the brand.

I can't suggest any, cause I have never settled with any brand, I tend to use older headset, as the new ones are a joke compered to them, since I have some basic knowledge of basic electronics, I take the best part of each headset and make a perfect one, for the mic, I prefer to use to use a real USB mic.

Your best bet is probably going be with a brand like Logitech. They've been making very reliable products for years now, and they're one of the only companies I really trust when it comes to hardware. A while ago I bought a super cheap headset for gaming, maybe $20, and not only did it work like a charm with crystal clear sound, but it also lasted quite a long time. And they have a huge selection of headsets that can meet just about any need within the price range you're looking for.

Try Sony, they are known as the best when it comes to audio devices and I prove it for myself. Their products are long lasting and has a good frequency music that is really pleasant to your ear. Maybe their price is a bit higher but for the quality they will give to you, it's cheap.

I bought a set of no names for a gift exchange which turned out to be some really good quality. I got them from Amazon for around 36$. They are called Sentey B-Trek H10 Bluetooth Headphones Wireless Headset with noise cancellation and an option to connect via wire as well. Sound quality is pretty good and the price is nice.

Your budget of $100 is really more than adequate for headphones. I would advise you as someone did earlier, to get headphones that are specifically tailored to Skype and not ones that are specifically for music or for gaming. You'll find most headphones meant for Skype have a noise cancellation feature. They are so many brands out there, and I wouldn't try to advise you on that. I would suggest that you go online and read Amazon reviews or any other sites product reviews and you can then make an informed decision, on which ones to buy.

Another brand that is suggested by my friend is skull candy. I don't know it personally since I don't have earphones of this brand but I trust my friend and his hysterical in proving that this is good. I cannot give you exact information about this but I think you can browse for it yourself and decide what passed your sense of hearing.

I agree with you that Skull Candy brand is superb in sound quality. It is expensive but you won't regret it and you've paid for a good investment because it'll last for so long.

I am not sure if they still sell it but I have been using the Plantronics Gamecom 780 for years now. It has Dolby digital 7.1 surround sound. I have been using that headset for the last 10 years. Every time it break I buy a new one to replace it. And they usually last 4 or 5 years before they break.

The skull candy sounds like Samsung headphones and they are both tough and last longer compared to other. If ever they will be compared, of course i will choose which cost lesser and obviously it is Samsung headphones. It doesn't matter on brand, it is in the quality of sound it produces. I know lots of people out there have different taste in sound quality and wants a better experience on listening audio.
