What crafts did you do as a child?

As a child, my favorite thing to do was draw and I loved illustrating everything, sometimes to my mother's disappointment as that usually meant I would draw on walls. Over time, I found a more constructive way to express my creativity. What type of crafts or art work did you do as a child?

Most of my time was spent writing. Though I liked cutting up paper and doing fun little paper related projects during the summer time.

We were always painting something. That's one of my most vivid memories of childhood. And, even now, painting is my favorite thing to do.

They made us try out cross stitching in home economics and I always pulled my stitches too tight. Even later when I was cross stitching, I could not make my stitches very neat.

My mother taught me how to scrapbook at a very early age, so that I could do this craft along with her. And, though many of my early scrapbook attempts were not up to professional level, it was very fun learning.

That sounds fun! I will look for friendship bracelet kits for my daughter. Maybe we can make some of these together. That would be a nice summer time activity.

My older brother always made model airplanes. He was obsessed with this pursuit, until later he discovered Dungeons & Dragons.

When I was a child, I remember I was really into cross stitching and making scrap books. When these two things were introduced in one of our subjects in Elementary, I was immediately hooked with this kind of hobbies and I end up doing cross stitching most of the times. And even I was a college, I made myself a scrapbook in memories of my college life.

I loved and enjoyed moulding with clay when I was a kid. Being soaked in the dirt of clay was kind of fun to me. I can still recall my creativity in things that I was able to make, although some looks silly.

I managed to mould pot, plates and almost all the kitchen utensils. They were quite an easy task for me to take on. But I could remember trying to mould a lizard one day, and I did one horrible job. I can look back today and laugh my ass out over that incidence.

I was deep into drawing while growing up that I always spend most of my leisure times drawing and illustrating things of nature. It was an awesome experience growing up and that is one of my childhood days that I missed so much. I wish I can revive that passion in me today.

I loved drawing, my grandma had a lot of paper I could use so I drew, even using only a pen. Later I stopped drawing people and situations and I focused on drawing clothes. I wanted to be a fashion designer so I used to draw clothes using crayons.

I remember when we used to make pot holders out of pine needles and make a Christmas tree with some pine cones. I made houses with Popsicle sticks and draw anime a lot.
