I second the motion. When I read your question, the first thing that came to my mind are wedding souvenirs and wedding invitations. But aside from wedding souvenirs you can also make birthday souvenirs and cards. They are easily learned and lot of tutorials in YouTube as mentioned by @mark8625. I'm currently watching videos about accessory making such as earrings. Maybe you can add this if you like. Best of luck with your crafts.

I think by doing this, you should also need to coordinate with the wedding organizer to expand your business. Me too. Its easy to make souvenirs. You can even use old candles and reproduce it and just put some designs too. You can watch it in you tube. You can also use polymer clay for keychains. My classmate creates keychains for her souvenirs out of polymer clay.

Yes zazzle seems to be a good place to start the market research. There are lot of small guides on what works and what does not work. I have tried some of the art on that note and it did work if you ask me. I have had some small dollar sales on the zazzle. And they can be a good start during the seasonal events.

I would suggest wallet and coin purse. They could be made out of yarn with different designs to choose from. You could also sell a set bundle of which they could make their own wallet. You can create a wide range of designs and quality so that you will be able to sell more of your creations. You van put some gems, pearls or jewels to make them more attractive and cute.

Wow, this looks really amazing! I love rings or any kinds of accessories and I can say that this one is indeed beautiful. The design looks simple yet pleasingly graceful to the eyes.

As my input, making Mason Jar Light Candle is also a good business. This is made of mason jars and glass stones from the dollar store so basically the materials are inexpensive. However, a lot of patience is needed in making this since it takes long to letting the glue dry. Just be mindful that you can't use a glue gun, as candles melt the glue right off! It is varieties of colors too like blue, green, red, silver, gold, clear glass and so on. Hope this helps!

Pillow covers is one of the hidden niche that has a really good conversion. I have seen some of the really good market for the same. I can tell you that some of the really good items on sale on zazzle are pillow covers. And for some reason it's one of the good item that people get started with in this niche. I did not realize pillow covers sold well on Zazzle. I've been a Zazzle associate for a long time and have never made a sale. I blame myself because I don't aggressively market Zazzle products. I'm usually sharing affiliate links from Amazon or ShareASale or using VigLink to share links from a variety of merchants. Me personally? I just happen to love throw pillows. That's why I suggested it.

You can try ebay, etsy, zazzle even facebook. I have a friend who sells handmade jewelry through facebook. I also have friends who are selling handmade items on zazzle and etsy. The sales depend on how well you market your products. You will have to give a searchable title and description with keywords so that your products are easily found.

String bags are easy to made. You just need a sewing machine in making it. You can make string bags with shirts or old clothes. Soaps and candles are my second suggestion it is also easy to made. You can customize the scent of the soap and candles.

Cute giveaways for baptism, birthdays and weddings are so in demand today. Quilling is also cute and colorful. You could make pen holder out of it as well as art works.
Also I suggest making cute accessories like dangling earings, cute necklaces.

Oh I really like these idea. Maybe doing items for kids and the family according to the season, like 4th of July, Halloween, Christmas. I've seen this Instagram account of a lady who makes t-shirts, tutus, bodies, hair laces and ties, matching mommy-daughter pieces, and they're super cute. Anything made of wood right now is selling like hotcakes. From wooden watches to wooden dolls, wood is trending. I guess people are buying into the save the environment movement going around. I guess small wooden figurines and keychains can be a worthwhile item to sell. Most of the woodworking could be learned through Youtube. You mentioned that you work with yarn, so you could try making tiny plush toys based on popular culture. Maybe you could make cute little handmade yarn dolls based off of things like super heroes or video game characters.

For example, the game Stardew Valley is really popular right now, and I’ve seen several posts online of people who’ve made tiny plush figures of these characters called Junimos. Plushies made out of yarn are also part of items that I sell. Here are just some of the characters I made. It is good to know what other characters will sell because most of the time I am stuck with the characters that my kids are familiar with. Oh my you are awesome! They are all pretty! I used to do crocheting but mini side bags for me. And it never last for a day, my teachers always requesting if they can have it and I don't have a choice ahaha. To see your design wear on and appreciated, I guess thats fine with me for them to have it as a gift. And yeah I guess you can try to Disney princesses collection, Im sure all daughters will love it. I think a customized t-shirt. It's a little hard to do and make the same design but this one I know will become your best seller. You don't need the printer, transfer paper, just paint and brush. Better not to do a hard design and just more on letters and numbers only for beginner.

I think many people make handmade items this is not a new phenomena, the trick is how you market them.I would market them as recycled , environmentally friendly. Hey good idea. I sold keychains when I was at school, and it worked out perfect. I learned how to do a very unique way of lacing, and I used shoe laces. Well, that was back in the 90's, but it doesn't mean it can't work out nowadays.

What about a watch and jewelry stand or hanger. I saw one made by a metal artisan which looks like a tree with just a few leaves which serves as stoppers, sadly I didn't have the chance to go back and buy it. It would look good on top of my dresser to hang my watches and ring.

I just saw this on Facebook and it may be perfect for you since yarn is the main material. They just put glue on the yarn and uses a balloon as base to create the "ball". I think you can sell also cellphone cases or laptop cases. I have seen a lot in online shops about cute phone cases and also with keychain. My former classmate creates that kind of craft where in she uses silicon with glitters as part of design in case and those cute small charms and anime. She just made a lot of such a cute designs.

Yes you are right especially girls. They tend to be more girly when it comes to that kind of stuffs. The designs must be trend so that young generations will entice to buy the product you made. Cups and buttons can be also good especially when you know how to design most especially in Photoshop but it doesn't involve craft so it's more likely graphic designing tho.

Where I live there are people who use tiny plastic beads to make beautiful multi-colored bracelets, belts and even purses. If one can learn the skill (it's not that hard), these handmade products can make you plenty of money as there are many people who buy these products regularly.

However, since many people prefer to make bracelets, beautiful belts or purses made from these tiny beads would be a better choice (because of the competition). But you don't have to sell these items online. Look around your hometown if no such items are being sold then be the first to make and sell them. Disclaimer on the link, I just googled it. I think you should definitely try Wire Crafting. Bend wires into simple name rings or a more complicated Sea horse pendant. Add some crystals or stones and you have yourself jewelries. I have tried some of them before and they were really fun to learn. There are also a lot of DIY guides on YouTube. If you are already comfortable with the craft you could get spontaneous and creative. The wires themselves are not much pricey you could practice all you want.

Tried playing with wires as well. I have included it in the items to sell last year. Wire bookmarks to be exact and they really sell well. However, the quality of the wires I recently got from my supplier are softer. It easily bends and ruin the shape of the bookmark. You have any suggestion on the thickness and type of wire you are using before?

I started doing it for myself, but later my friends asked to make something for their houses or children. Later my friends brought their friends. Now, I take payment for some orders, especially, during the Halloween preparation. Everyone wants a costume, and sometimes I have to do it late at night. Now, I am saving up some money to get a good overlocker machine. For those who don’t know, there is a big difference between an overlocker and a regular sewing machine. An overlocker sewing machine allows to do certain things with fabrics way faster.

I used to do crocheted as well before. But as I am not very skilled at it, it took me weeks to finish a single project. So I stopped. But as I have many yarns left, I thought of another projects I could do with them. Then I learned how to make dream catchers! I made use of yarns that I have left and wove them into dream catchers, big and small. It was easy to do and beginners just have to know how to tie in one direction. From that, you could experiment on your whim. I had a great results. I sold a lot.
