Are cats of divine origin?

I have been reading up on cats, how they were often revered as divine beings or even gods in many societies in anceitn days. Also it seems that cats are not mentioned in holy texts of any kind for the fact they were so often worshipped. Does anyone know if this is true?

I have only heard of the Egyptians revering cats as deity. If there were any other societies that held cats in such high esteem, I don't know aout them. And, I'm sure the Egyptians would have spoken extensively about the glory of cats in their own religious texts.

It's mostly in ancient Egyptian history that I have read about cats being served and worshipped as gods and deity. I can attest to one god in Egyptian history known as Anubis. It's a big being but with a cat face, hand and feet. It's known to be a very powerful god of war and destruction.

Some analysts believes it to be the god that guards the way to the underworld and it has the power to grant someone immortality. All these are mysteries now and I'm not sure if it is true or not but it's so far what I have read about them in Egyptian ancient religion.

I have read stuff like this and I ask the same question,are they truly of a divine origin.Well,untill there's a counter-reaction to say this is a myth, we will continue to believe it to be true.
