Who wins the title cats or Dogs?

We have all at least once in our lives had an affinity for animals. And oh! Aren't they cute?
Different people prefer different animal. Some keep snakes, lizards crocodiles, other love taking care of wild animals so start orphanages and what nots.
But when it comes to pets the are two which have been closest to man for hundreds of years. The cat and the dog. Some like cats, some dogs, others even keep both. Each have different advantages over the other and particular reasons why they were tamed as pets. Dogs was because of their true loyalty and good smell which was good for hunters. Cats was mostly for their grace and general cuteness.
One of them all in all has to posses the title of best pet choice.
Will it be the classical man's best friend? Loyal, obedient, protective and playful dog or will it be the graceful yet moody, distant but fuzzy ball of fur the cat?

Cats! I have previously owned both, cats and dogs and it is a very hard choice because they are both absolutely incredible animals but cats won me over.

I currently have three cats and they are unbelievable. If I am stressed they can sense it from a mile away and they come cuddle up with me. Their gentle purring calms me.

I think that cats are also far easier to take care of than dogs. Dogs require a lot of training and constant attention. Cats have more of their own personality and they are more "laid back". If they are feeling lazy they can literally sleep the whole day, haha.

My favorite thing though is when my cats bring me the toy mouse on the bed and stare at me all proud. They are so cute without even knowing it.

Me too, I used to have both cats and dogs too in the past because my mom love to bring back stray dogs and cats back home and feed them like her own kids.

However, as I have my own family, I prefer cat. I have a 12 years old cat, human years I think she is old enough to be my mom age. Your cats are better than mine. At least they bring in toy mouse to show you. Mine proudly showed me her "prized" real dead rat or mouse right to the door step and expect me to say "Good JOB"? You gotta be kidding! I had to bury those dead pests!

Definitely cats! When I was a child we have both cats and and dogs, but when our mother cat gave birth to tiny kittens that's the time I fell in love with cats. I even took care of those tiny cute kittens. Still as of now we have a dog and 5 cats because cats are cute and easy to take care and are laid back like me. Now I'm just waiting for our pregnant ginger cat when she will give birth, she's so cute and has a big gut I'm wondering how many kittens are inside.

My preference is dogs over cats although I love both. The reason I prefer dogs is mainly I find t much easier to train dogs. Dogs are generally obedient. I have trained the dogs to do some tricks. They are also fun to play with. I always take my dogs for some short walks to relax. I find cats too distant and moody for my liking. Also, my family loves our dogs very much and do not intent to keep cats as pets.

You're right on saying that cats are moody and distant in nature. Also, another thing that I've come to understood about cats is that most people in Nigeria are quite cool with having dogs as pet instead of going for a cat and that's the reason I'll prefer a dog as well.

I prefer cats because they're not as active compared to dogs. I don't like pets that are too playful or mischievous. It's not great for the furniture since they keep breaking stuff.

Although I love both cats and dogs and have even had each over the years as pets, I generally prefer cats. Dogs can be great... they are loyal, they always love you, they are always excited to see you, and you can often take them along with you on outings. However, the downside to dogs... is they need constant work and attention! Most of my friends that have dogs have to keep to a set schedule of being home within a certain amount of time for the dog's dinner. Plus, anytime they want to travel for even a couple days, they have to make arrangements for someone to care for the dog. Even staying somewhere spontaneously overnight is generally out of the question. Cats on the other hand, they may be a bit more indifferent at times, but they take a lot less work and attention. We can easily leave extra food, water, and litter, then travel for as much as 4 or 5 days with our two cats home alone. If we decide to stay overnight somewhere, the cats will be fine... rather than having knocked over their water bowl, eaten all their food within an hour, and pottied all over the house. Lucky for us, our cats are not indifferent... they are very loving little cuddle balls of fur. Our Main Coon especially has dog like qualities and follows me wherever I am in the house and is the best cuddler at night. He'll even play fetch!

I love animals, but nothing beats my interest and love for cats. We have pets, a dog and a cat to be exact. However, my attention has always been with my cat, whenever it's their eating time I usually feed my cat more than I feed our dog. I just find cats cuter than dogs. Dogs are cute too, but I find them very manly whereas to cat they are so feminine like.

I prefer Cats to Dogs but I love both, and as a busy person cat is better for me.because they clean up themselves, he one time I had to give my cat a bath was after she chewed through a paper cup with pop in it and was all sticky by the time I got home. This was probably the biggest struggle of my life. She cried and clawed my arm up. So, I am very glad I will never have to do that again. Plus, the special shampoos you have to buy for your pets can be really expensive! It's very refreshing knowing that she will clean herself as she needs to and if she smells, that's her way of telling me I need to change her litter.

I love dogs. I have two yorkies. Cats are ok but i don't feel much attachment to cats unlike with dogs who are always excited to see me and play or cuddle with me. Cats are always snobbish. They even say that while dogs see you as their boss cats sees you like their servant. The dogs do whatever pleases you. They even follow you everywhere you go, ask for attention and are very happy when you give them attention. While you can see cats does not really mind you, they mostly go after you if they want to be fed. And they even snob you when you want to cuddle.

Dogs 100%. I think most people will agree with me. Dogs are just much more lovable and will probably love you back. They are extremely loyal animals and will defend you if need be. I'm sure cats appreciate their owners as well but they don't bother to show it half the time Who wins the title cats or Dogs?. Personally, I will only ever get a dog as a pet because I just prefer them. Dogs are so much easier to just cuddle as well, with cats you are probably likely to get scratched up.

I have both animals as pets. Dogs are very lovely, loyal and great companions. The are always willing to give tons of love no matter what which is one of the best things about them. Cats are very unique, they don't do much but sleep and eat. They don't need much space and they are very clean which is great. They can be affectionate but only when they want to, you cannot force them to do things against their will as they have a very strong personality and they know what they want and how they want it. Dogs and cats are the best choice for pets.

I love my dogs, dog is the best for me.Im not just angry or dislike a cat but there is a reason that i have to choose dogs than the cats. The reason is my dog are always waiting for me everyday i go home,he is always in the front of thedoor everytime i come in.Although im bc in my work he still waiting for me to come home even if i didn't give him the time and care that he wants.I trained my dog very easy,if i throw a ball he gets it very fast and full of energy, were always at the backyard when playtime because my dog need exercise. My dog is a friendly pet specialy with children, they can play with them although they hurts because of the children. The one that i love the moat of my pet dog is every morning he always go to my bed and lick my face to wake me up because thats the time when were go outside or play.I love him very much i treat him like my own child.

For me, the dogs win the title. I love dog so much that I don't trait them as my pet but as one of our family and my bestfriend also. We use to do many activities especially if I don't have work. Like doing jogging in the morning, sleep together and many more. I don't hate cats of course it's just dogs gives me more love and loyalty. If we're going out, I don't need to tied them. He just walk right beside me and enjoying the day.

Dogs are very adorable creatures. I wish that dogs can live a long life like humans in able to see and be with them when you get older. When my dog died I can't resist myself to cry because I love my dog so much. It's easy to take care of dogs just tame them and make the dog understand that they are valuable. Also treat them as family member.

I love cats, I don't like dogs as a pet, I don't know, if I hate dogs or not, because in past experienced, dogs basically our cats, that's why I don't prefer dogs as a pet. They usually to dirty, when our dogs enter into our house. Almost of our cat died, because dogs in our place were aggressive.
When it comes into security of properties, dogs usually useful enough to guard every corner of the house, but the problem when the dog killed someone, sometimes the owner will be blames, because thief today can counter file the case, also it depends of countries policy.

I prefer cat more than dog maybe because I never own a dog before so I don't know how to have a dog but seriously cat is so cute and require less effort to care for. They are so independent that they can survive in their own Lol. They have also some life ethics like when they poop they will dig some sand and burry it, so for me hands down to cats.

I love dogs, but I don't like to have one, they don't fit well my personality, cats, on the other hand, are more dependent, and they don't care much about people, they have one of the strongest characters among animals, and on top of that they're so cute.

i think it depends on the people which they prefer to love. but for me my winner is the dog nothing can beat the dog love towards to its owner dogs are very loyal they even defend if someone try to hurt there owner not including the small once they can't defend but speaking og pitbull german Shepherd and all other big dogs they can save us from danger also i find dogs concern to us and make us like there own family.

The dogs takes the crown.most homes are littered with dogs and puppies.I don't know but I think dogs are more friendly to humans because the recognize humans easily and they're very helpful to humans. so I give it to the dogs.

I love both, because I love animals. But for me in general, dogs take the reign. Dogs & cats are both could be man's best friend, but dogs are more reliable in terms of security. Dogs can help you, when your away with your family. Aside from having CCTV nowadays. Dogs are one of our family security guard, because they barked against people they are not familiar. I've seen many proofs also, about some hero dog helping other people and saving their lives. Overall, animals are good to people, if you treat them good also.

Dogs all the way! Well for one, dogs are really loyal animals if you show them proper love and care. I used to hate animals, not that I'd hurt them because I have never done that. I just didn't really care for them. Then Zarek came along, our cute terrier who is really protective and loving to the family, but could be quite nasty and mean to strangers. I have never felt absolute and unconditional love, the way he has loved me. Well of course my family loves me, especially my mom, but his love just feels really different. We used to have cats too. They were nice to have around because unlike dogs, they are independent creatures, but they could be too spoiled for my taste. They tend to act like the boss and I didn't like that. They were kind of hard to discipline too.

I have no choice but to choose dogs over cats because I am allergic to cats. I can say that I wish I wasn't allergic to them because there is some mystery to cats, but not with dogs. With a dog you get what you put into them and cats, well they do not care too much. Cats simply roam around and do what they do, and half the time they leave your house and do who knows what.

Well it is obviously dogs because dogs can swim, dogs love you and they don't run away, you can take them
for a walk and have fun, they love attention, they are cuter and don't attack
you, they are really clever, they can work with you, they can help you (service
dogs), you can actually stroke them, they don't kill things, there is more
breeds to choose from, they don't climb on things, they don't need litter, they
can be easily trained, they can help disabled people, they listen to you when
you are talking, they guard your house, and THEY HELP THE POLICE. DOG WINS.

I experienced becoming an owner of both animals. I am a cat person. I love cats because of their intelligence, independence and attitude. But in general I could say that the dogs win. They are like a part of the family that you can't leave behind. Even though I have bad experiences with dogs, I could say that they are majority the man's bestfriend in every way. They can also be an enemy to your enemy. A friend you can always have.

It is cats! As I observe between little cats and big dogs when they fight, dogs are frightened of little cats. Maybe it hurts when they are hit by the claws of the cats. They run towards they're masters and barks like a little child. Hahaha. It is so funny watching them fight. Sometimes I get a little cat and throws it to my dog to see how frightened my dog was. Its eyes becomes big due fear that grows in his body. Its face are so funny that I cry because of laughter.

Dogs, though I have not live much with cats but judging from others that have it, I will still pick a dog. Dogs they say is the closest animal to human. Their loyalty is what makes them more attractive to me than cats.

Can I pick both? I'm just torn in choosing between my cat and my dog because they are both super cute and sweet. We love them both and consider them as part of our family. In fact we treat them as our babies and pamper them like real babies. They are my stress reliever actually.

I think having dogs at home is better than having a cat for dogs would make strangers be careful before coming to your home as well as giving your home that privacy that you always crave for. Also, I know a cat can be an exciting pet for some people for reasons that I may not understand now, but I still think that having a dog is cool to many people.

Let me give you one reason why some people lovr cats as pets. If you're a Nigerian then you shouldn't be surprise hearing this.

A lot of cat owners in the suburbs of Nigeria keep cats solely because of rats. It's the most effective method of controlling crawling animals around the house.

For me i choose dog than cats, in fact we have cats in our home but only gives us a problem . Dog is a mans bestfriend which is very true. It is my best buddy doesn't hurt me eversince i lived with it. I can do adventures with them, bondings and many more. They have a caring attitude and especially they are so cute to handle. It makes me sad seeing dogs in the streets unhealthy and dirty abandoned by their owners.

Who wins the title cats or Dogs?

I'm a Pisces person and what I love to pet are aquarium fishes (don't know if that's always the case! Who wins the title cats or Dogs?). But if I will choose between those two, I'll definitely, irrevocably say that I'll go for Dogs. I love dogs for many reasons; they're loyal, cute, jolly, friendly, fluffy and cuddly and much more. If I would be given a chance to choose a breed of dog, that would be the Tibetan Mastiff. I like how they look furious, fluffy and how big they are.

I like both for different reasons. Dogs are more fun to play with outdoors. Cats are nice to come home to. I've also had both at certain points in my life. I had a Pekingese dog when I was very young. He was a terrific family pet. I also had two cats between the ages of 8 and 19. The latter of which is currently with my mom and dad at their place.

I have both and I never had to choose. My pets get along fairly well because my cats came in before we had our dog. Our dog was just a puppy when we took her home so she was very obedient and she regarded the cats as older siblings. The cats which were bigger then didn't feel threatened with the puppy so they all grew up harmoniously. Both are great to have as pets because they respond well to their owner's love and care. You know that they trust you for everything and they are just very sweet when they want something. Cats are gentle and pensive while dogs can be too active. Dogs are smarter and loyal but cats are adoringly bossy.

Through these years, we used of the thought that cats and dogs are mutual enemies and I can see that because we often see them fighting before but today I believe cat and dog can be best of friends now and I see a lot of pictures and videos of them together happily playing each other in social media sites. It is a good thing and I don't want to see any pets or any animals fighting each other.

Cats and dogs have been in a battle not only between themselves, but their owners too. Personally, I adore both of these animals, however I am more of a dog person. Even though, you can't really compare them, because they are quite different from each other. Both of them however are pretty cute and have their good qualities.
