    Dogs vs. Cats, which are better?

    I love my cats, but they annoy me by constantly fighting. And, they're not always the cleanest animals. I wish I could make them all into yard cats as they don't like living inside the house much.

    When I was a kid, we had a dog and he was just awesome. If I had a dog now, he'd have to live outdoors as that's a more natural environment for dogs and they seem to enjoy the outdoors more than being stuck inside.

    What's your favorite, dog or cat?

    I like both, I have them both, they don't get along with each other but that's not my problem. lol


    It is your problem when your cat and dog are in your house fighting at five am, waking you up. :/

    Here's my ex dog (mom didn't let me have a bull terrier back then when I was a kid), so they bought me Tibet terrier. Looks cute, but hated all the people except my family of course. Girls were loving him, but didn't dare to cuddle him, he was kind of crazy.

    Here's my sister's dog. Biggest pussy I have ever seen. He's like 30 cm tall and when he meets her boyfriend's mom's dog, which is a 15cm Yorkshire terrier - with his size, you can literally hold him in one hand, my sister's dog starts running, hiding, crying... But he loves people and has a great character. Also, when I occasionally take him out for a walk, whenever some other dog is getting closer, he wants to run and starts crying until I hold him up in the air, so other dog passes by. Than I put him down and when other dog is away enough, this little bad ass starts to barking and acting like a biggest tough guy down the block.

    I'd have Bullterrier at home, but I guess I'd need a house for him to run around, so I will probably buy French bulldog, which is kind of lazy, just like me, so he doesn't need long walks and stuff Dogs vs. Cats, which are better?

    Just depends on how much space you have. Some dogs need a big yard and open field to run in, like German Shepherds and some herding dogs. Probably a small dog would be better for apartment or city living as they don't require much room to play/run. Though a nice walk several times a day would help work off energy. Even little dogs need to get out and stretch their legs and play for awhile every day. c:

    Cats are my pick. I have 7 right now and just love them. They are a lot of work but the love you get in return is priceless.

    I prefer cats because they're more gentle and affectionate based on my experience. While I think that dogs can be good companions, I don't like the idea of getting slobbered with saliva and loud barks as a sign of happiness.

    Cats are relatively quiet and nice. I find them enjoyable company especially when they're sleeping and relaxed. Great for people who like writing in silence.

    Cat and dirty in the same sentence? Dogs vs. Cats, which are better?

    My Cat is always cleaning himself, and I have this thing where sometimes when he comes close to me, he actually smells really fresh and pleasant. People also think Dogs are more clever, my cat does tricks and stuff.

    I do like Dogs though and completely believe they are a mans best friend.

    Cats they are cuter than dogs in my opinion. I do not have an issue with dogs but just like cats better.

    I own a Jack Russell excellent little dogs with a big heart and very comical.

    I agree with that. With cats you can leave them home and not have to worry about letting them out to go to the bathroom.

    I would give an abandoned Mongrel a chance from an animal shelter or dogs home, if you love the dog and provide a good home you wont regret it.

    Sometimes if they have been cruelly abused they can take a bit more work but well worth it.

    Such a good suggestion. These can be the very best dogs and they always feel so appreciative of the love you give as they did not have that before and just want all the attention you have to offer.

    A dog is the best pet to live in a home for me. It's more homely than any other pet in my personal opinion. It can keep you company in several ways and play a lot to free the house from boredom.

    Some dogs when trained well can do some minimal home work like helping you carry some stuffs inside, lock the door and open it, cuddle little kids up etc. To me dogs are man's best friend and best pet.

    Exactly dogs are more useful in our houses than cats. Dog kan help secure our houses, carry things if only well trained, and gives us comfort. In fact they are the lovely pets which would make feel you not alone. So those who has pets in houses we must give importance their existence in this world.

    I'll be neutral for this on. There is no wrong or right answer for that question. anyone has a favorite, Some are dog lovers and Some are cat lovers or some maybe dog and cat lovers(or safe to say they are a pet lovers haha). Those two had a good qualities and they have also the same good qualities , for dogs aside of being a Man's best friend you can teach him some tricks. As well as the cat's, cats can also be a man's bestfriend,Its cute to see if you had many cats in your house. they can be your baby's. cat's can also teach a trick. so whether you pick dogs or cats it doesn't matter, they're both cute, adorable, and nice to have.

    I've never had a dog, so I would pick cats. Cats are not usually as friendly as dogs, but they are cuter and feels better to pet than dogs. They are also more independent than dogs, most cats can live by themselves, just give them food,water, and place to poop on and they can survive. So if you are a busy person who doesn't have much time with pets, cats would be better for you than dogs.

    I love dogs, we have three dogs in our house and their names are twilight, towe, spark. They are actually our guard dogs. They will let us know if someone's sneaking at night or if another dog enters the house.

    I'd go for dogsm because they can be a man's bestfriend and also serve as security for me and my family. Dogs can be very useful specially in security purposes in house. They guard the house from thieves and suspecting individuals. They are very helpful and fun to play with in the park.

    I am a dog lover ever since i was a child. Growing up with a dog really taught me to take care the members in your family, everybody is important. I don't think that i have a pet, what i always think is that i have a best friend and that's my buddy(dog). I will always be a dog lover until the my last breathe.

    I won't hesitate in picking a dog ahead of a cat any day for it brings more value to the home than the cat. Just a few days ago, my friend who is a dog owner had their neighbourhood being robbed by armed robbers and the heavy barking of his dog actually woke him up. It was when he woke up that they told him that the barking of the dog was what scared the robbers away from coming to his house. This is one of the works of a dog.

    Dogs are perfect and preferable to me in all ramifications. As much as I would agree that cats are cool but I definitely wouldn't be choosing them over a dog.

    I believe that it's just as you said Beverly, one personality has a way in making them have a preference for a particular set of pet. This is practically applicable to me, I have a thing for dogs that I simply cannot explain. I just feel so at home with them around me than any other pet.

    Dogs are more homely and comfortable being around with in my opinion, they can be of some help in arranging of the house if you had yours trained well. And dogs are very good with baby sitting, I practically see this as an added advantage of owning a dog as a pet.

    He is English Mastiff breed, he is such a lovely boy and so playing. From the looks on his face you can guess what he thinking as in "Hey why are taking a picture of me?" LOL.

    The day I got him was the most happy day of my life and I cherish every moment we have and spend together. I think he's got about 12-14 years life span, should nothing go wrong with his health or accident, we are definitely going to spend a lot of time together.

    I'm happy that you found yourself a partner. I wish my dog is that cute, but i'm fine with my dog right now. He might be a little wild and destroys some stuffs, but hey nothing could ever replace him.

    Both animals are wonderful and they can be good friends for a human. I don't think we can compare these two animals, in fact, I think that we cannot give an accurate answer on which one is the best because each animal is smart and loving in its own way.
    Personally I prefer cats since I was a small boy I loved cats and now I have one, still, I also have a dog as well, and I love them both even if my favorite is my cat!

    For me both will do, but dogs would be my favorite one, my reason is simple, I have an experience on cat biting me for no reason and that's why I hate having cats around my house but they're cute though. And dogs, they're just friendly and cute and would protect you from anyone.

    We have lots of cats in our house but they poop anywhere and it is the problem to us in having cats in our houses. Our dog poops too but they are useful in guarding our house everytime we are out of town or during sleeping time. They are 24 hours active and aggressive for unknown people in our yard. I am not saying cats are not a good pet, they are but we really need a pet that we could benefit from. I could say that dog is better and because they are a man's best friend.

    For me, it's a dog. We all know that dogs are man's bestfriend. Dogs are also easy to play with. You can walk or jog with them. I really love dogs. So everytime I see street dogs on the streets, I always catch them and surrender them to the nearest animal welfare. How about you, which are better? Dogs or cats?

    I will always be a dog person!!! The unconditional love that comes from a dog is so beautiful. My dog provides so much comfort to me on my bad days. Cats are cool, but they socialize on their own terms. I am too emotionally needy for a cat, hahaha!

    I really cannot choose between them. I love dogs but I'm a fool for cats too. I would say dogs offer you an unconditional love, they are loyal and they are a human's best friend but I also had a cat that was so loving and loyal, everytime she sensed that I was sad she came to me and sit on my belly and I felt so relaxed and peaceful. I kinda love all the animals so I cannot choose between them.

    I love both cats and dogs. They are adorable and very cute. They are both fluffy and are like cotton balls. I love to pet them all day. However I like dogs better than cats. Cats are short tempered and anti social. They seldom play with their humans. Unlike dogs, they are very playful. Dogs are loyal and you always see through their wagging tails that they are happy to see you everytime you go home from work.
