What if you received a gift you did not want?

If you received a gift you did not want, would you return the gift or just put it in the closet and forget about it?

I would try to get some use from the gift, if only to try it out a few times. In that way, I would be honoring the person who gave the gift, after all, it's the thought that counts when gift giving. And, no I would not regift or return the item.

I would keep it for a while to decide what I wanted to do with it. Then I would regift it if I had not used it in a while.

I received a gift that was not me the other day. It was a sweater that just did not look good on me at all. The person insisted that I wear it out with them when we went shopping. So the tags are off and I have worn it. I hate to be mean but the sweater is not something that I will ever wear again What if you received a gift you did not want?

i will accept the gift of course and will not return it the gift is just an simbol even is useless for you , you can use it sometime who knows , or maybe give it as a gift to someone who may need it

I have received many gifts that did not serve a practical purpose and yet I kept them as they represented the love the person giving the gift felt for me. Sometimes, I will look at these gifts and think very fondly of that person. It's nice to know that someone cares and thought enough to give a gift.

I'm grateful for every gift I receive, cause I don't expect it, no matter how the gift is unexpected, it shows the the sender love, and that's enough.

Gifts are meant to be appreciated and as such, should I unfortunately receive a gift from a friend which happens to a kind of gift that I don't really desire, I would still appreciate it and be great full for receiving such gift from my friend.

His or her intentions for giving me such gift might be sincere, only that it's not what I desire at the moment. I will just take such gift and keep it in a safe place, probably in the future time, it would be useful to me again.

I don't think it will ever be a nice thing to return a gift no matter the reasons. It can be very rude of the person.Infact I will so much appreciate it.A gift is what it is a gift.So one should thank the giver then can later do whatever with the gift.

If I going to receive a gift that I didn't want, I will accept it no matter what. I will appreciate the gift he/she give to me. But maybe next time I tell he/she the things that I want to recieve. Because rejecting a gift to someone may hurt their feelings. Just accept it with all of your heart.

It rarely happens to me but when it has - I normally put it up for sale online to see what I can get for it. That's only if I can't find a personal use for it first though.

I will definitely take the gift and never show I did not want it. It is obvious that I will get used to it with time and maybe try to enjoy it when I am ready to accept it with my whole heart. In the mean time, I will just keep it safe.

This is easy, it did happen to me, I received a painting as a gift but I do not like paintings at all so I made it a gift for a friend of mine on its birthday, he loved it and the painting hangs on its bedroom wall, I am glad he like it and used it.

If I received a gift which I don't like, I would either give it as a gift to someone else that I figure would like or need it or I'll just post and sell it online to get some money out of it.
