Should books be created into movies?

Every time i turn on the TV i see a old book that was turned into a movie on the screen. I don't read a lot of books now but when i was a kid i read a ton of them. Sometimes a book can be recreated in a way that is enjoyable to watch. Charlottes web is a good example of this, we read this in school. My kids had it on the other day as a movie so i sat down, and i watched it. Personally this book was done really well exactly how i pictured it as a kid when we read it with our teacher. I was amazed at the details in the book they re did them perfectly for the movie. Those of you who read books regularly, what do you think about Hollywood turning literature into movie? Should it be done? or should we leave the books as they are?

As always thank you for reading please don't forget to follow me.

Well I love reading books and I love movies.

It must be amazing to be an author and have your work made into a movie, how cool right?

Some movies made a mess of the book and some really did the book justice. It is a shame when they make a mess producing a movie from an amazing book.

I think creating movies from books is great and I will usually watch the movie. There have been some disappointing moments for me though. Very often the way I imagined things while reading is portrayed differently by the movie.

Thats what im saying some books should just stay books. Hollywood has done such a bad job at some of these recreations that they do. If you grew up reading a book that you really likes and then a movie comes out and its really exciting rite? WRONG some books are horribly recreated and often dramatized way to much. This leads to disappointment like you said and can also ruin a child hood book for me anyway.

I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with recreating a book into a movie if a good would be done.

Thus recreation brings about more understanding of the book to the readers.I can remember in my secondary school we read Macbeth but couldn't really grab the story until I had watched the video and the characters did a very good job because I understood the story perfectly well and it was all good for me.

I think its a really cool idea to turn books into movies, especially kid ones. The movie industry has come such a long way, but there are some books that should not make the transition to a movie!!

Well, I find it much more interesting when a book is turned into movies. More visualization is offered and at the same time, it makes people who haven't read the book but watched the movie to try to read the book. This is what happens to me when I watched fifty shades of grey in a cinema and heard there is a book of it, I immediately download the book and surprisingly read the whole series.

I'm not against to creating a movie based from a book. The only problem is that only a portion of a book was always portrait in the movie but the good thing is if you don't read the book, you will not know that the movie lacks some important chapters. That's only if you did not read the book. But for me, it's understandable. In average, a movie lasts two to three hours and you can't cover all the chapters of a book within that span of time.

Sometimes It's nice that they adapt it through a movie. But I get disapppointed when they lack a part that would really be great o the movie.

For me it is nice to see a great book created a movie like twilight they created a movies it is so cool. so i agree with this but if the book is not that great i think they should not waste there time producing that kind of book turn in to a movie big screen.

I think making a book into a movie (or a tv series) is a big compliment to the author. If my book were to be adapted to a movie I would be really proud of that! Watching a movie you can see the whole story in two hours while reading takes more. People will also be more interested in a book if it was made into a movie and it will sell better.

I probably think they need to create it to movies because most of the people who don't read books will just rely on the movie instead but I know most people would definitely disagree to this due to bad remake, bad acting and etc. I think it will be a win-win for both, most people don't usually read books but when they see the movie and thought it was good they will probably be curios and search it on google or some other site and they would realize that it's from a book and because of the curiosity, when they feel like they're missing something from the movie they might read the book and might probably be fan of the book.

oh yes, I prefer to watch the movies than turning page after page that takes a longer time to know the ending part. Books that had turned into movies such as Harry Potter is a good move, had been so popular and make huge profits for both the author and the movie creator.

The good part of watching a movie from your favorite books, is that it gives you a different idea or image of what you imagined while reading it, sometimes it makes it better than what you pictured about it. I think it's ok to bring these stories to the big screen, but they should be really attached to the plot and characters, otherwise the reader will feel in some way disappointed. So far, I always enjoy the book more than the movie, but I have to be honest, I'm a book eater and I feel a book doesn't compare to any TV or movie replica.

I like reading books and this has always been my favorite pastime. There are some books which have been created into movies and the movies turned out to be disastrous. However, there have also been some good movies and shows like the Harry Potter series and Games of Thrones. I guess it depends on the directors, the actors and the storyline. I have noticed that they alter the storyline very often in movies.

I think good books should be made into movies. This will allow non-readers to be acquaninted with great literature. Furthermore, you can understand the book better if you watch it. I read books as well as watch movies. I have never read any of harry Potter Books, JRR Tolken Books, however, I have watched all of Harry Potter movies and Tolken movies. The only problem with book adaptation is faithful adapattion.

I believe that books should only be made into movies if the books are excellent! If the books are bestsellers such as Fifty Shades of Grey, then it should be made into a movie. If a book is boring or not so good then people wouldn't look forward to a movie but if a book is great then the readers would look forward to a movie.

Yes they should. Some people like the movie version and some like the original book. Personally, I would prefer to watch the movie than read the book. I love reading. But if I discover the type of book I want has a movie too, then I will go for the movie.

Yes and it's been happening eversince motion picture was invented. Producers and Directors usually makes a movie adaptation of best selling titles.

There's a lot of old Bible based films like The Ten Commandments, Noah's Ark, David and Goliath, Samson and Delilah, Abraham and others.

Nowadays all superhero movies are screen adaptations of comic books and graphic novels.

Most of our blockbuster movies nowadays are movie adaptation of bestselling novels, graphic novels and comic books . Superman, The Dark Knight, Green Lantern, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Hulk, Ironman, Spiderman, Avengers and the latest is Black Panther . These are only a few of the comic books that became movies and they all became blockbuster hits . I'm not even mentioning the hundreds of paperback fiction that made it to the big screen.
So I guess my answer is "yes" because good books make great movies.

Yes, they should and they actually do, most of the popular books have visual adaptation, which is a great thing because there are some ideas that can be transformed into successful movies. Personally I like to read the book first, make my own imaginary movie, picture the characters the way I imagine them and then watch the actual movie and compare the images in my head with what the producers had in mind when they created the movie.

Well I do think they should be made into movies. At least the good ones. But I wish they would find a way to make them as detailed as they were in the books. A lot of movie adaptations these days, tend to trim down the novel or the character's background story just to fit with the time length of the movie.
