Homemade craft: Hanging KIDS HANDPRINT ornament/decoration

Hey guys!

Here is another homemade craft perfect for gifting! I actually did something similar a few weeks ago with my girls! They made hand print stones! I'm going to tell you guys another cool way to do this and gift it to anyone!
Here is how to make a hanging hand print ornament/decoration,

What you will need:
1. 1/2 cup salt
2. 1/2 cup plain flour
3. 1/4 cup water (give or take)
4. string

Mix salt, plain flour, and water and knead it until it forms a dough. Make impression with hand and cut out the shape of the hand with a knife, leaving a border.
Poke a hole at the top so it can be hung.
Bake at 200°F for 3 hours!
Let cool and you can write on the back of the hand print!

pretty cool huh? Keep checking back for my crafting posts!!!

i also love these kind of projects and so do my girls, especially my 2 year old!! LOL

i like the fact that you know exactly what your putting into whatever it is that you are making so you know definitely that there isnt anything in it to harm your child. (in case of ingestion, ect)

Yes my little one is turning three in December and he loves anything he can put his hands into. You must try out snow with your little girl. It is just 500g bicarbonate of soda and one can of shaving cream and get her to mix it up. It is cold and feels so awesome! Of course just watch she doesn't eat it because... well it is shaving cream LOL

Oh my gosh, thank you! I swear I nearly bought one of these hand and foot print sets to make a hanging picture. I wanted to make gifts of my kids hands and foot prints for my parents.

It is amazing to think that so many things you might want to buy for your home or for gifts you can actually make from home easily with things that you already have at home. The best part is that activities like this keep my kids entertained and amused a lot longer than when I buy things from the shop.

This decoration is easy to do and I am sure it will look great, besides it would be an awesome memory. I will try this with my second son, he has now nine months.
