Homemade craft: MAKE YOUR OWN PAINT! EASY RECIPE

Hey guys! I just found the really really simple way to make your own paint. We all have got to know by now, how my husband and I like to know what exactly is going into crafts and craft supplies because we do alot with out kids and our youngest puts everything into her mouth. I found a recipe that is so easy and super safe for kids, they could probably help make it!

Heres what you'll need:
1. 1 cup salt
2. 1 cup flour
3. 1 cup water
4. food coloring

THAT'S IT! HOMEMADE PAINT FOR THE KIDS!!

NEVER BUY PAINT AGAIN!

Yes we have made this one and it is super easy and fun. We put ours into tomato sauce bottles and then just squeezed out what we needed into a bowl to paint with.

These make it yourself activities are so much more fun than buying paint from the shop. You also don't have to worry about all the chemicals and toxic ingredients that may or may not be present in the paint you buy from the shop. It is also so much cheaper!

Most moms will have all these ingredients on hand anyway so to whip up some paint quickly is just the thing!

Man you guys are crafty and sure do make great ideas. this seems really simple to do and like Lynne mentioned really cheap. What i was wondering though is does this have the same kind of color as regular paint? I know when you buy paint its usually thick and does not fade easily when put on paper. Is that the case with these home made paints? The other thing i really like about these paints is the fact that they are Non-Toxic and 100% Safe for children. Do you just mix all these ingredients together and use different coloring for each color of paint you want? I have never done this with our girls this one is new for me! Thanks for sharing!

It is really a homemade paint! I love doing arts so I always buy some paints for my artwork. But some paints cost high. I always find some alternatives on paints. This sure is the solution I need. Thank you for this.

Wow, this post is great, you helped me a lot because now I will not buy paint for my son and I can prepare it at home. This will be useful in the future as well because I will have another baby.
Thanks for sharing!

As much as I love art and anything that probably is related to it, I'm totally down. This is actually a great post and the tips are wonderful, like you don't have to worry buying a color that you wanted to have or wanted to blend. This homemade is also helpful in terms of whether if I had a son/ daughter and he wants to paint something but we ran out of color, these idea or tip is perfect for the scenario.

Very apt and concise, at least the materials are very easy to source and readily available at home. This will ready keep my girls busy this weekend.Kids like to busy bees especially at weekends and it always good to invent one craft work or the other to keep them busy.

I can’t stress enough how much I love your ideas. I think putting paint on kids can be harmful. It’s prudent to find a way for them to still have fun and be safe. I love the idea of of flour because it's not hard remove. The normal paint they use at the mall for example, takes hours to get off. And all their friends are getting it, so they feel bad when you refuse them.I like this way better it looks even cheaper and you can get as creative as possible.
