Splinter removal life hack!!!! NO MORE TEARS!

I have seen this on the internet before but wasnt really sure if would even work.

One of my daughters got a splinter helping me and her dad get wood for our fire the other day. My daughter HATES getting splinters, to the point where she wont even tell me she has one! Bad, i know! She doesnt like the whole squeezing and tweezers thing. So when she told me, immediately she starts like hyperventilating...and then i tell her i have trick and it won't hurt so much.

Mix baking soda with water until it turns into a paste, put the paste onto the splinter and then cover it with a band aid, keep covered at least for 12 hours.

When you remove the band aid, the mixture of baking soda will have helped the splinter come to the surface of the skin and makes it so much easier to just pull out with tweezers!

So i did this whole concoction the other night and i went to take the splinter out yesterday morning and it was right at the surface of her skin, she had no idea i had even pulled it out yet. I will always use this for future splinter run ins!

Oh this is an amazing life hack for removing splinters. Never mind my kids, I have often had a stubborn splinter that I struggled to get out and I don't like the idea of like digging down in my flesh to try and pull it out.

Another great use for this is that we have loads of thorns in our area, we call them devil thorns and very often when you pull them out a piece of the thorn stays in. I have often had a problem trying to remove them from my kids feet and it is so hard to try and explain to a screaming 2 year old why need to stay still when they are in pain.

Thank you, this will make my life so much easier. I only today saw that the thorns are all coming up again when we walked to the beach. They come up all over in summer and we can't go anywhere without shoes.

I agree with you maam. This will make life easier for us and the kids. Because we don't have to deal with the screaming and pain caused by the splinter in the kids.

I didn't think this worked but im glad it did. Our child really hates them, its one of the things she can do without in the world. This obviously will not work in all cases like with younger children that may remove the Band-Aid but with kids over 3 it should be fine. I wish i was their to see it work, i didn't even know she got a splinter. Lynne those thorns sound awful! I agree kids don't understand and when your poking them and ripping skin they think your trying to kill them. I will not sit here and lie, im a big baby when it comes to splinters too. Thanks for sharing guys

That is so easy and it won't hurt to pull out the splinter that was deeply seeded in the skin. Maybe just be careful whenever you come in contact with wood or anything that can cause splinter.

Happy for you that you found a solution. Sometimes splinters really can become a problem and it is impossible to remove them. It is the same as with skin tags. I know what it means 'cause one of my friends had skin tags. She didn't want to cut them, as the doctors said, 'cause she was afraid of cancer. So she started to look for the other solutions and found this blog https://www.skintagsoff.com/cure/t...ags-on-the-face/. She just used the oil that they were writing about and her skin face became very healthy and what was more important the skin tag problem was removed. So good luck!
