Lets take the time to talk about siding on our homes. Some people live by wood siding and they will never change. Others live by the motto vinyl is final, meaning it lasts longer. What is truly the best siding for your home? Lets compare some of the differences between wood and vinyl.
Wood siding is probably one of the oldest siding people use today. Wood siding is so beautiful to look at when passing by. This type of siding is also good for the environment and 100% biodegradable. Wood is also a natural insulation and may help you cut down on your utility bill. The worst thing about wood siding is the maintenance. You have to constantly check for all types of wood eating bugs to make sure your house is not being eaten away. The other main thing is the fact that this siding has to be painted or stained every year or every other year.
Vinyl Siding is widely used all across America as one of the best sidings for your house. This siding will never need to be painted or stained and maintains the color for years. Vinyl siding also cost alot cheaper than wood. This is also one of the easiest sidings to install onto your house. Vinyl siding is also virtually maintenance free and requires little to no work after installation. The bad things about vinyl siding are the fact that you get no natural insulation. With this type of siding you will also experience cracks and dents. What do you think is the best choice for a house?

and vinyl is kind of so boring to me. i mean you could get a reall pretty color but it doesnt have that textured look to it like thw wood does! vinyl is cheaper than wood and more common now a days.
as far as the best choice for a house, i think i would have to go with vinyl simply because it is cheaper, easier to clean, easier to maintain, and installation is way easier than wood siding. thanks for posting this jkeyz! This is a tough decision for me.
