Decongest a Stuffy Nose With Homemade Vicks Vapor Rub Shower Cubes

Check this out! I just found a super easy home remedy to help when you have stubborn stuffy nose that just wont clear up, no matter what!!! I can't wait to try this!!!

What you will need:
1. 3 tablespoons of vapor rub
2. 1 cup of corn starch
3. 2 tablespoons of water
4. mixing bowl
5. ice cube tray
Food color optional

Heres how to make it:
1. Put the vapor rub and corn starch in a bowl. Stir slowly until the Vapor Rub warms well enough to mix into the corn starch. This process may take awhile.
2. Next add 2 tbsp of water to create a thick paste. Don't add too much water or you won't have the right consistency.

Once the paste has formed, you can add a few drops of coloring.
3. . The paste will smell really good! Press this paste into your ice cube tray and be sure to pack it in well. You'll want to freeze for about 20 minutes!!

When completely hardened you can put one of these near your shower drain (or set in a small tin on the floor of shower) and it will warm with the heat of the water, causing the vapors to rise and decongest your sinuses easily.

Let me know what you guys thinks!

This is seriously the coolest thing i have ever heard of. Sometimes a hot shower is the only way to relax those aches and pains. Having these shower cubes really makes it all better in combination with the hot water. I need to tell everyone about this because it will save people from so much. I know im not the only one who feels like he is going to die when he has a stuffy nose rite? I love how most of your DYI have common house hold products involved. People can do these things very easily and at no extra cost. No special trips to the store! With winter here and beating us all down this is the perfect home remedy we all needed. Thank you for sharing this with us and im sure we will continue to use this in our house.

I use vapor rub by rubbing the ointment onto the front nostrils, chest area and the throat. Mom used to heat up a pail of hot water, scoop up two tablespoon of vapor rub , dilute and inhale the minty vapor. It didn't help that much for nose block. I will try your method , looks like a new trick to stop the nose block.

Honestly, I have not made use of this before now and I must confess that this is something that I'm going to try out very soon. I've not got a stuffy nose, but I'm grateful for the teachings for it is going to come handy for me anytime I have catarrh or have anyone having such around me.

I've never tried anything like this before. My concern is if used in the shower the menthol vapors might affect my eyes.
