Interior decorations tips and tricks

Not everyone has a sense for good art and refined tastes when it comes to choosing the right interior decorations so I'll try to gather tips and tricks famous interior designers around the world use to create incredible leaving spaces.

1. Use the same color scheme all over the house, this is very important in having a homogenized feeling throughout the house. A simple color scheme has around 4 colors in total and all you need to do is find ways of combining these colors for all the rooms in the house;

2. Give everything a personal touch by displaying the things you love, don't be afraid to make them visible;

3. If you want to make your rooms look bigger and taller all you need to do is buy low furniture, it will make all of your rooms "higher";

4. Mirrors are important if you want to make everything feel warm so place them around your house;

5. If you have furniture all the way up to your ceiling make sure the color of the ceiling is lighter, this way the room will look brighter.

These are very cool tips for home design. My wife is going to love this topic! This is very important especially if your trying to sell your home. People can use these techniques to help them stage the house for sale. If you tired of your old home and they way it looks you can use these tips to spice up your house. I find that people in NY often live in cramped apartments. Making the room brighter and higher and look more spacious is exactly what they need. I just wanted to add that hardwood floors instead of carpets make the rooms flow better. Not only this but it makes the room look bigger in size. This is awesome because it shows what it takes to make your home modern. I will use these in my new home because its 106 years old. everything is outdated and needs to be redone.

Nice tips for interior decorating Cristian. I am always dreaming about how I will do up our own house one day. I just cant wait until we buy our home. If we can build I will be even more happy.

Until now I have only ever rented and I am feeling such a need to "nest" properly now that we have children. I can't wait to do up my kids bedrooms....

I love the lots of mirrors, I think it makes the room look warm but also bigger and more open.

I also want to get creative and do large wildlife puzzles with my kids and get those framed for the house. I think it looks so nice,it is also something the whole family can do together.

My wife and I are already planning to start our own house. We're not creative enough to design our house interior and exterior. Thanks for posting tips and suggestion it really help us. It's a good way to start learning whats best for interior and exterior. If you have an idea on how to make a garden with swimming pool please let me know.

These are quite useful tips. If the job is handed over to an interior decorator that interior decorator should interview those in the house so that their personality is reflected and not what the decorator thinks is good for a house. I have done some work and I have followed this principle.

Very good and nice tips you have got there and I am quite certain anyone who is a lover of sweet, loving and lovely looking home would really appreciate this post on interior decorating.

I personally would be taking this tips to my cousin brother who is an interior decorator, maybe it would help him with his job specifications and make him a better expertise in his field. Good job, keep it up with such important information.

I think the thing about mirrors is that we have to make use of them in right places. We have to find places where the mirror is going to bring the most of the energy and light. So keeping it in kitchen and the living room. That seems like a good option. I'd surely consider that for the design. Many decorators go for that type of the option. You can try the same too. I guess for each one of us it could be different though. But based on what I have seen so far interior decorations is not that easy for many of us.

I agree tips are for all the people that have an experience and who don't have an experience on interior decorating. Actually the No.2 is my favorite of all the tips, it's the simple yet effective way for me to be more creative and at the same time put the things or items you probably love.

Nice tips there.Nothing makes a home warm than giving the interior a befitted look and placing things where they should be.It will make the home a really warm place to be.Will keep an eye on those points to replace my interior decoration ideas with some of those.

For me, simple is better. (Perhaps, that is because I do not have interior designing sense); having too many decorative items inside your house will look very clumsy (maybe I don't have enough budget for decorative items). The only wall hanging item in my bed room is a photo frame of me and my wife taken during our wedding, rest of the things are necessary items such as bed, table lamp, bedside table and a wardrobe. The main point of interior decoration the color of the walls, ceiling, furniture, and carpet must be very pleasing to your eyes. Another point is arranged things in a way that they take less space. For example having sofa set on the wall is better than having it in the middle.

I like these tricks! However, having the same color scheme in the whole apartment is kind of difficult and requires you to think about it when buying stuff for your home. I would never choose having dark ceilings but the trick with furniture blowed my mind. It has never occured to me that shorter furniture can make the room look like its ceiling is higher. My tip would be to use nice boxes to organize things you have on your shelves etc. because it looks nicer.

These are actually some really simple and effective tips. This is the thing that a friend of mine told me about the interior design, as he is working as designer. And all these things are really cool actually. I mean, i used to live in a old house, and the furniture was up to the cieling, and the cieling wasn't bright at all. That room was looking so dark and uncomfortable. Since i have to move into a new house soon, i also got addicted to everything related to interior design. I found a certain agency, it is called Kairos, they sent me some examples for a vintage interior style, exactly what i wanted. I wanted a vintage combined with minimalism, and they offered me the perfect solution.
