Have you had: Levi Roots Caribbean Coconut Curry Crisps?

Just bought these from my local, if you haven't had them before and you like your spicy food, (or anything with coconuts in it), then I recommend you to try them out. They're really nice. They are kind of spicy, but a fresh spicy because of the coconut. They're not as hot as they say they are but they have a really funky taste to them.

They're made by Levi Roots, who makes the Reggae Reggae sauce which is also really nice. Has a real Jamaican spicy kick to it and is nice with white meat, fish and things like that. Or just about on anything really that you want to add a spicy kick to!

These Caribbean Coconut Curry Crisps, together with his knowledge of Jamaican Cuisine, Levi Roots has combined the the spicy sweet flavours of Coconut Curry with the finest quality potatoes around to make a crisp that provides a true Caribbean crunch with every mouthful! Trust me, these crisps are fabulicious! Have you had: Levi Roots Caribbean Coconut Curry Crisps?

I haven't heard of these Levi Roots Caribbean Coconut Curry Crisps before but it sounds like something my husband would absolutely love. I wonder if I will be able to find them here in South Africa or whether I can find a store that would ship them here?

My hubby loves hot, spicy things so even if there were bum-burn hot he would love them. He also loves coconut. I am not a bum-burn hot fan or a coconut fan either.

I do like to treat my hubby with nice nibbles that he loves.

Wait, wait, wait.. what?! Coconut curry crisps?! Are you serious? What kind of combination is that?! Haha. I would have never of even thought of mixing that combination to create a Reggae "inspired?" chip. I am use to the basic chips like potatoe chip, bbq chip, sour cream and onion but not coconut curry.

I don't like to try new things, especially food since I fear I may be allergic to it. I think I am allergic to a lot of stuff so that is why I never try anything. I just automatically assume I'll be allergic to it and just never get to experience exotic foods. :/ *shrugs*

Don't people drink coconut milk with curry often? And often serve coconut flakes with curry?

This actually makes it the perfect combination lol!

I have no idea if they drink curry with coconut milk. I never would have imagined using that combination until I read this discussion. I personally think the combination would be nasty. However, it's probably one of those "don't knock it til you try it" situations.

I probably would try it, but most likely not like it and never would try the combination again, but that's just me though. Lol. I guess we all have our tastes, likes and dislikes.

I haven't taste and even heard about this Levi Roots Caribbean Curry Crisps snacks but it looks delicious and somehow I feel like it has a unique and exciting taste you can have. As a fan of any food that has a spice like a curry has, I'm willing to buy and find this snacks to have taste, I wonder if it has on supermarkets?. But all-in-all, I need to taste this snack.

This is quite amusing, its the first time I've heard of a spicy coconut curry flavored crisp. But hey, it sounds great to me. One of my fave food is spicy chicken curry, the Filipino kind which is a bit sweet and spicy without the strong curry taste. We don't have that brand here but we do have curry flavored curls. It's like cheese curls only it's color green. I think that would be a good snack.
