Homemade Breakfast Shake For Kids DIY

Tired of fighting with your little one to eat some healthier foods? Or is your little one just a really picky eater? I know my 5 year old is extremely picky when it comes to new foods...or actually any foods!! LOL I have tried everything to get her to eat new things, but it is a constant battle just to get her to taste it! Mostly my fault from when she was a baby but as she is getting older and has her own little voice and point of view, she likes to refuse things based on look, color, and smell! HAHA Here is a way to get your little one to eat some yummy and healthy foods by putting them all into a flavorful smoothie!!

Heres what you need:
1. 1 1/2 frozen bananas
2. 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
3. 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
4. 1 1/2 tablespoon of honey
5. 1/2 cup of oats
6. 10 ounces of almond milk

Heres what you need to do:
1. Layer all ingredients into your blender
2. If you blender has a smoothie button blend mixture with that, or if it doesn't just switch between low speed and high speed until all the ingredients are blended well.
3. Serve as soon as possible. This recipe yields 2 servings and takes about 5 minutes to prepare!

This is perfect alternative for breakfast, its quick and easy and has practically no clean up and less of a mess can be made! This is packed with nutrients, healthy fats and power for any little kiddo!

Hope you all with little ones enjoyed this one, I think my little ones would love this actually! And I will be taking a chance with this one for my 5 year old. As always, thanks for reading everyone!

This is something i would be interested in as well. I would love to have a full breakfast and this shake to wash it down. Morning time is the best time to eat a heavy meal. Helps you have more energy and make better more precise decisions. This doesn't seem like it would be to thick and seems like it would have a balanced consistency. We may have to add this to the breakfast routine for everyone in the family. The more nutrients we can get in during the day the better off we will be. Why do i feel like adding strawberries would make this so much better? This is also one of those recipes that you can tweak and make better or more to your own liking. I look forward to trying this soon! Thank you for sharing!

Uhmm yummy! thanks for the recipe. One of my best friend is from Brazil, and she stayed with us for about 3 months, she used to have breakfast with a smoothie called Vitamin. She said her grandma used to give it to her. She made a mix of 1 green apple, 1 banana, a quarter of avocado, 3 tablespoons of oatmeal, honey and any kind of milk (coconut, almond). It taste delicious, seriously, I was addicted to it. Maybe you can give it a try and let me know what you think.

Nice, this looks cool and easy to try out. Kids are one hell demanding little devils but what can one do but just simply love them the more because of their innocence. Definitely, I would be trying out this your tip and hope my kids love and enjoy do allow me have a little peace of mind.

Although I use to also make them fries and hot sauce. They do love eating plantain fries and banana chips. Sometimes, I have to practically force them to eat real food and desist from eating junk meals.

I never made a shake in my home, but I really want to try your recipe, I am sure my son will like it very much, I wonder if I can find chia seeds and almond milk in my country, I never heard of them. Maybe there can be an alternative to these ingredients? Maybe I can add something else in their place?
Thank you for sharing this recipe with us!

I'm sure kids will definitely love it. We all know that kids like shakes. So it is a great idea if we are going to make a homemade shake. This can be the way to make our kids eat healthy foods. Because some kids don't want to eat vegetables and fruits. By using shake as a healthy breakfast, you don't need to keep telling them to eat a healthy food.

We do not have any kids; but this breakfast shake sounds like it would be a healthy one for a person of any age. Another good idea is to make cookies or banana bread that has extra vitamins and nutrients added to it. We all need more fiber in our diets, and what i do is take a regular cookie mix, and then I add flax meal and psyllium for fiber, and some extra eggs, almond meal, and protein powder for more protein.
The cookie or sweetbread tastes delicious, and is also a lot more healthier this way.

I like making smoothies in the morning before I start my day. It gets my daily allowance of fruits and vegetables. Making your own nutrient dense smoothie doesn't take long as preparing most meals. Getting your kids to eat healthy food is not always easy. This recipe would really be added to my list to try out. Thank you for sharing! Homemade Breakfast Shake For Kids DIY

Did this shake over the holiday and the family enjoyed it,I think the only thing I didn't get was the almond milk so I replace with a frozen milk because the stores didn't have it in stock, set the ingredients out with the kids and followed the procedure and it came very nice,it didn't take time as indicated and there's nothing messy about it and the kids loved it,will be repeating it soon.
